Poco Ratings and Reviews
Good ambiance and good nightly specials. But why I wouldn't recommend for dinner is because my gf steak came out very cold and when presented the issue to the waiter it came back very well done. I understand trying to assist but lack of care is a big turn off, left without finishing the meal. Upsetting.
The food was great, our server was great and everything came out so fast. Before I finished my mimosa he filled it. The only thing I did not appreciate was them making us wait outside until 11:10. When they opened at 11 and we all had reservations at 11. If they do not open the doors until 11:10, they should make the first reservations 11:15am. It was freezing out and they were all standing in the restaurant on their phones, not doing anything. Besides that it was fun.
Found this plan online and while travelling wanted to try it out for the boozy brunch. The mimosa is bottomless as stated, food was great and serving sizes were great for brunch, not too big or small so you feel good after your meal. The place is really cute, the wood tables, outdoor seating as well. The street isn't too noisy so the open air concept works really well. Server was awesome, great customer service. Will be returning next time in new york
Had a great time here. The atmosphere was really nice, and the food (we got: watermelon salad, beef sliders, octopus, truffle fries) was delicious. The drinks were also really good. It did take a bit longer than one would expect to get our drinks each time that we ordered, but it seemed like maybe the bar was short staffed for whatever reason, and our server was so pleasant that we sort of didn't worry too much about it. Friends have eaten here previously and from talking to them it sounds like our experience with drinks was uncommon. I would definitely recommend it.
Poco Hybrid Sangria and Truffle Mushroom Croquetas were absolutely delicious. Lobster Guacamole also quite tasty. Laid back atmosphere, nice inside / outside feel with doors that open onto the street and a few sidewalk tables, fun music. Bar was inviting. Overall great value.
I went to Poco last night with my friend Susan for a belated birthday dinner. We had a wonderful time, and the food from start to finish was fantastic. We went early so arrived during happy hour. We shared small plates of the Truffle Mushroom Crouqetas, Brussels Sprouts, Crispy Calamari, Guacamole & Chips, and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sliders with Caramel Apple Pie for desert. The service was excellent and the waitress helpful when asked what was good on the menu. I had the Poco Hybrid to drink, Susan, a margarita. Just a lovely time, and they didn't try to rush us out either. Definitely recommend.
We went there on Labor Day and we're lucky enough to get to experience their brunch. Amazing restaurant, with incredible drinks and food. Everything we had was the great ! The lobster mac and cheese and French toast was incredible and to die for! A must try! Our waiter, I believe his name was Cory was probably the best waiter I have ever had, all the servers were extremely nice and helpful as well! There was also a Dj Playing music, which gave a really fun and upbeat vibe. Definitely worth the drive, can't wait to go back!
The servers were VERY friendly throughout the brunch hour. It was my first time here and were placed outside. I got a glimpse of the inside when going for a bathroom break. It was very vibrant and lovely. The music selection was great too! Went well with the drinks lol. I'll defiantly be back soon!
I'm actually disappointed. I have been to Poco twice in the past for Sunday brunch. The lobster mac & cheese WAS to die for and the bottomless drinks had a kick to it. I was there last Sunday, service was great as usual. However, the lobster Mac & Cheese was not as good as it used to be, not even close. smh and the drinks, was just like drinking flavored water. Maybe if I go there again, I will just try something else on their menu. But their famous Lobster Mac & Cheese, is no longer famous to my tastebuds. Very disappointing.
Had the lobster guac and lobster mac... both were really good. The guac was something I just wanted to try, having never had lobster in my guac before. It was super flavorful and the chips that came with it were not over salty which helped to be able to actually taste the food and not salt. The lobster mac was very rich and creamy. While I couldnt eat it all, I actually had lobster I could see and taste :) I have had lobster mac before very dry and this was not the case, it came out so creamy, I almost wish I had a piece of bread to soak up some of the flavors.
While the food was good, I wish I remembered our waiter bc he was hands down the best waiter I have had in my life. I saw so many negative comments about customer service, I went in prepared for mediocrity and I left with amazement. Our waiter was attentive, joked around with us, was quick to seat us and get our ordered, provided recommendations between different dishes, etc. I even heard him with other tables with just as much enthusiasm and in general happiness. The food could have been terrible (it was actually quite good) and I would have still left with a great experience based on this waiter.
Additionally, we were running late. I called and they kindly moved our reservation to accommodate when we would be there as opposed to cancelling all together. I am sure that this could not be done during a crazy busy night but it was nice to know that they were generous and willing!
First time here. Came here for the bottomless brunch, cash only. The food was good, but the drinks were not strong, it was mostly juice to the point that we had to buy a bottle of wine and the server was slow coming around to pour our glasses. There are other places out there with better bottomless brunch and you actually get feel the drinks.
Ugh. With the exception of friendly waitstaff, this restaurant has nothing going for it. I had been wanting to go to brunch there for awhile and was so disappointed. Slow service. When food FINALLY arrived, it was cold. And then we had to wait for utensils. The "bottomless" brunch was a laugh. I got one refill of sangria. And that was it. They never came around again. I also never got the coffee I ordered. Save your $. This place was AWFUL.
Chose this place for my 22nd birthday bottomless brunch and it was so much fun!! Staff was so energetic and funny, dancing and singing to each other. Wish I remembered our waitress' name, she was petite and had the cutest corduroy skirt on, we were in love with her. We got sat in a cute comfy corner booth overlooking the bar and rest of the dining area. Drinks were always full and I got the French toast and cleaned my plate, it was so yummy!! I don't really leave reviews often but I'll definitely be coming back to Poco and recommending to all my friends! Thank you guys!
I was disappointed with all the hype and waiting to come here. I think people come only for the unlimited drinks. I ate the steak sandwich and my friend had the cure. The eggs were wet not cooked well. No flavor on any of our items. The only nice part about the restaurant was the waitress . I have a blog and I have to review but I'm not sure how that will turn out.
Went to Pocos many times this time everytime was great, this time would be the last sadly. Place was very crowded but even though it was they had only 1 waitress helping out the whole entire basement. She gave our whole table attitudes and assumed our table needed sriracha because we were asian?
My party of 15 had an excellent time. No long wait for our 3pm reservation. Some, unlike me, were newbies, so the food was a great surprise. The french toast and lobster mac for the crowd favorites. The only issue was the seating for the large crowds, particularly where we were seated (under the tv) is extremely toooo dark. Some of them at my table had to put a phone light to see their food. So that'll be my only complaint.
Otherwise, you can never go wrong with Poco.
The food came out before our drinks. The waiter was a little slow to refill our sangria but overall it was a decent experience. I would go back buy maybe it would be more fun with a group of people. There were alot of birthday parties and celebrations happening.
