    My husband and I had the fish special. It was delicious. We have never left the Poached Pear disappointed. Great food and great service.

    EVERYTHING was amazing from the ambience , staff & food… We ordered 4 desserts and they all lacked that final punctuation at the end of a great meal. i Love a great Desert ….

    Slow service. Duck was undercooked. Chicken was delicious. Vegetarian entree was excellent. Tuna was very good. Wait staff was excellent . Will go back

    Great dinner this past Friday night! Excellent service, delicious food, and a great time! I had the filet mignon, and my boyfriend had the special lamb shank. Desserts were so special too!

    I was excited to try Poached Pear. I had heard a lot of good things. We celebrated a friend’s birthday that night and our waitress could not have done a better job. She was great. The food on the other hand overall was disappointing. The best part about my meal was the poached pear salad that was delicious. For my main course I went with the lobster special in a pastry cup, served over potatoes and spinach. The pastry was soggy as it is served on top of mashed potatoes, and spinach. Would have been best to leave that part out. Then my lobster was tough to chew. I barely ate it. For the money spent and the hype I expected better.

    Poached Pear has been our go to restaurant for years now. This occasion was to celebrate a good friends birthday. As I have stated in past reviews, the food was prepared to perfection. The duck melted in our mouth. The establishment was very accommodating to substitute one of the sides that came with the duck with another. The experience was comfortable, effortless and pleasant. The server was friendly and attentive. In fact, she felt more like family. Cheerful and engaging. Said it before and I’ll say it again, Poached Pear definitely is a place you need to visit. Once you do…..you’ll be hooked!

    It would be nice if the restaurant would change up the menu and the "specials" from time to time. We come once a year and the menu and the specials never change. The food is very good but some variety would make it even better.
