    What a spectacular place! From the moment we walked in, to the final conversation with one of the owners, we were treated like we were very valued guests. The food was top-notch. We had the salmon, halibut and veal vol au vent. Everything was so delicious. Our waiter Nick was so professional and kind.

    I’ve been to the poached pear many times and each time it does not disappoint. The menu is varied and difficult to choose from because it all sounds so delicious. I’ve had steak with various sauces which are always done perfectly. Specials are always enticing. One of our party had roasted chicken, which was done impeccably with perfectly prepared vegetables on the plate. I had the steak with a peppercorn sauce. Prepared exactly, medium. Sauce was amazing. It was out of this world. The grilled romaine salad is delicious. We tried various desserts and all were excellent.

    Our dining experience was exceptional - as usual We always return to the Poached Pear, our fave! Asparagus Fries are a game changer! Love the crabcakes! We try to mix it up whenever we go - new fave: porkchop

    This restaurant has it all. Excellent food, exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere. It is my first choice to bring family to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. I know I will never be disappointed.

    We love Poached Pear. It is probably one of the best dinners I’ve ever had. Everything is cooked to perfection. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.

    A Step Above on the Jersey Shore Tucked away in downtown Point Pleasant, The Poached Pear is a real gem on the Jersey Shore. The cozy atmosphere and beautifully presented dishes—especially the perfectly cooked duck breast and the unique vanilla bean crème brûlée—make it stand out. The staff is friendly and attentive, bringing a polished, thoughtful touch without being intrusive. Every detail shows they truly care. Easily one of Point Pleasant’s best dining experiences.
