Plumsteadville Inn Ratings and Reviews
Our family of 4 went for Sunday brunch and it was the best brunch we have ever had! Amazing options and absolutely delicious! HIGHLY recommend going! Thank you for an amazing experience. The staff was very attentive and spot on with every aspect of our experience! Thank you KJ for your friendly and upbeat personality!
Exactly on time with our reservation, new menu choices are excellent and varied from comfort food to excellent steak and seafood entrees. Service was excellent too and friendly. We sat in an area off the bar and with the live music it was louder than we would have wanted. Next time we will ask about the live entertainment. The musician was very good but the volume was more that we wanted for dinner conversation.
Four of us came for dinner. Our reservations were thru Open Table. We had requested the Garden Room were seated almost immediately. No appetizers were ordered as we knew the meals would be enough. We did order salads which were very filling. I ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Scampi. Could have used more garlic as it tasted a little flat & bland. DH ordered the crab cakes & said they were fantastic. The other couple with us ordered the NY Strip Steak & the Veal Marsala. They each said their meals were wonderful. Service was prompt and our server was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend coming here.
I think there was a problem with the kitchen. We were seated and it took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come over tothe table for a drinks order. I noticed that people were leaving and I overheard another waitress say "they are tired of waiting". One of our party (who is a bit of a complainer) order prime rib. He said it was cold and so was the potato and asparagus. He ate it anyway and then complained. The Manager took it off the bill. My pasta was ok but i think it was hot because the sauce was hot not because it was fresh hadn't been sitting out. So all and all it was only an OK experience. I have been there for lunch and it was better. I don't think I would go for dinner again.
This was out third visit here for dinner. The first experience was very positive. We had the crab cake sandwich, Bavarian pretzel, and jager schnitzel. We brought our family back for Father's Day. Everything this visit was really greasy. Three out of five of us had sick stomachs that night from the grease. This third time just the two of us dined in. The grease level was the worst yet. My crab cake was good but the bun wax cover in grease as were the pretzels which are a big draw for us. The Jager schnitzel was bland and also puddled in grease. Unfortunately, I've been sick since our visit. Every place has an off night but digestive illness is not going to bring us back again. Staff has been pleasant although each time seemed overwhelmed. Our biggest shoutout is to the bussers! Those kids have been pleasant and hard working each visit!
My wife, two young daughters and I love the Plumbsteadville Inn. It's our go to place for great service, food, and an unpretentious atmosphere in the Doylestown area. We really love the weekend live music. The steak is great, as are the crab cakes and wiener schnitzel. We also have had them cater a party and the food was excellent. Highly recommended!
We had a very nice experience. Server was fabulous, friendly, attentive, helpful. We had 4 kids with us, she was great with them. The room we were in was great, quiet, private. We were. Celebrating our daughters birthdays. The server acknowledged the fact. Nice nice time!
We haven't been to this restaurant for over 20 years. We sat in the room with the tv's, so it was very different . On our next visit, we would like to sit in the more formal area.
Overall the food was very good. I would definitely recommend. So many choices.
Our dinner was a graduation celebration. They were
Very accommodating with handicapped access and when we needed to push the reservations back due to graduation ceremony running late. Wait staff was excellent and dinner delicious. Accomodated vegetarian and another special request. Will be coming back, for sure!
