Plumsteadville Inn

Every year before our kids Christmas concert we come to the Plumsteadville inn for a pre concert celebration. The kids love the mozzarella sticks and desert. I always get the chicken parm because it is so good. It’s the largest plate of chicken parm I have ever gotten at any restaurant and probably the best tasting.

We had a lovely meal in a very festive environment.

Had reservation, waited 10 min to be seated then did not get server for almost 20 min. Waited 15 min for cold rolls and she forgot the lemon I requested with my water. Once finally ordered, waited almost 30 min. for food. Crab Soup had overly strong seasoning that distracted from the overall taste. My burger had cheese on it though I did not ask for cheeseburger. Waited again for the check about 10 min. Overall, food quality average, restaurant decor looked nice for Holiday but for late afternoon nearly empty restaurant the service was atrocious.

Always like coming here for Lunch or Diner. Great Food and Drink selections.

So tasty as usual and I love the ambiance of the tavern side with the fireplace lit at this time of year.

Went with some friends for a meal after the Pearl Buck International tour. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Everyone enjoyed the meal and the nice table by the fire.

When we arrived the fireplace was not on, we asked for it to be lit and they accommodated our request quickly before our meals arrived so that we could enjoy it.

The Plumsteadville Inn is my go to restaurant. Fantastic menu, beautiful facility and warm and capable staff.

Our evening was a great success celebrating my mother in laws 85th birthday. The food was excellent and the service was even better.

Great place for a casual family Friday night dinner. Something for everyone on the menu!

Was ignored 15 minutes even with a reservation.
Was seated after inquiring. I think we’re just forgotten about.

This is the second time we came here with reservations that were not honored for the time made. We had a 6:45pm reservation and were not seated until almost 7:15. We asked several times and were told it would be a couple of minutes. Meanwhile there were groups of people who were coming in well after us who were seated before us. Don’t take reservations if you can’t honor it. Otherwise the food was fine and our waitress was good.

We always enjoy going food to this restaurant mostly for lunch. However this past week we were able to enjoy a happy hour there as well. As always delicious food and very friendly service.

A Fabulous Friday Night Date!
It was our first visit to the Plumbsteadville but it won’t be our last! Walking through the door we were met by delightful hostesses. They checked us in and gave us a choice of either sitting in the bar or one of the dining rooms. We heard the piano and decided to sit in the bar. It was great! Appetizers were excellent, the menu was extensive and drinks were promptly delivered and our server was attentive but did not hover. Ambiance was great, wait staff helpful and attentive and the food was excellent! We were not rushed, plates were bussed promptly and it was a delightful experience from start to finished. Highly recommend a dinner in this great restaurant!

We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with my elderly mother. Service was great, food was great!

Great Food especially the Jaegerschnitzel, Caramel Martini. I would come here to meet friends & family for a good time. Also loved the music!

The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. The cocktails were great and service perfect. It was a great night out and experience for my wife and I.

We just wish we where seated at the other side
(Quiet) side of the restaurant ! The noise was so over powering.
Someone called me few hours before our dinner and asked to what side we like to be seated ... i don’t know the set up of the restaurant and I asked the young lady who called me to place us on a suitable table because we are celebrating Birthday... and we have an elder quest . And told me she will seat us on the best side of the restaurant ! And I trusted her -:(
Other than that it’s all Good!!

It was so delightful to sit by the window and admire the lovely garden. The food was great, enough for a take-home for a light supper. The only fly in the ointment was a literal fly. One little pest. But I guess that is to be expected this time of year. Thank you for helping me give my friend a lovely birthday treat.

Chicken parm was a very large portion, however I was not overjoyed with its taste... The er ice was excellent and will come back for sure.

The food was great and the waitress was terrific. I believe the name of the waitress is Athena.

Sometimes the noise level from other tables was loud.

We celebrated for my mom’s 81st Birthday. After trying to make reservations elsewhere as we were hit with arrogance, we chose this place. We were greeted with welcome and treated very well as we dined. Two of us got lobster, three of us got crab cakes, one fried shrimp and I got broiled scallops. Everything was served hot and on time, they let us bring in our own cake and really didn’t miss a beat. They also have very nice bathrooms. We will definitely be giving our business there as we were appreciated!!

Our server, Jenn, was wonderful. No one is better.

A couple of mom friends and I met here with our kids and it was great service as usual. Tuesday is Kids Eat Free and Plumsteadville Inn never disappoints. The food is great and has variety so everyone in our party of 9 could find something they enjoyed. Our server, was warm and welcoming as usual and she even remembers our kiddos and their allergies. We LOVE it here and will definitely return.

Perfect place for a birthday celebration. The staff was very helpful for my mother-in-law’s 95th and made her feel special. We all enjoyed our meals.

...only recommendation is that the restaurant was tooooo hot... by the time they turned the air colder we were done our meal... i love this place but i was very uncomfortable

the food is always outstanding. There is a variety of choices and the daily specials have never disappointed, especially the fish specials.

Jenna was an excellent server as were the others that delivered food. They all asked how we were doing and if we needed anything.
The food was average. The calamari was rubbery and the Thai chili sauce was lacking flavor.
I had the fish and chips was ok. There were four pieces of cod but what seemed like 400 French fries. My wife had the strawberry salad with chicken. She enjoyed it but it was average.
We had the creme brûlée cheesecake which two was nothing special.
I do want the thank the hostess for wishing us a happy anniversary!

Dinner was good. However we sat in a booth near where the servers stand near the kitchen door they got loud talking. Next time we will sit at a table.

On a Friday night our party of 8 unexpectedly turned into a party of 11 at the last minute. Luckily the Plumsteadville Inn staff were accommodating and moved us to a room called the Lounge that could fit us all. Unfortunately the Lounge does not have air-conditioning and it was a hot day & hot evening. We complained and asked that something be done to cool the room. There was a table top fan but it did not help as the heat in the room was terrible and the fan just pushed the hot air around without cooling it. Staff should have moved us to another location.

Now onto the food. The appetizers that were ordered were great. The salads were fresh and crisp.
The entrees were not the best. 2 of us ordered scallops. Both scallops dishes were overcooked and had a very mushy consistency. The fish & chips were good. The steaks were cooked as ordered but were nothing special in taste. We truly feel this was not one of the Plumsteadville Inn's best nights as we have had better in the past.

We've had other menu items in the past that were good. So we'd give the Plumsteadville Inn another try. Would we recommend? Yes, but in the summer stay away from the Lounge as this room does not have air conditioning.
