Plumeria Beach House Ratings and Reviews
Always a great place to take a friend on a gorgeous afternoon. I usually order a salad or burger but decided to order the chicken club sandwich and I'll admit I thought the chicken had a funny taste to it. Not as though it was bad or spoiled but as though it was processed industrial and not a "real" breast and for the price of a sandwich it should be real. Not rubbery. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive without being overly so. We had a fabulous afternoon of catching up at one of the best views of water front dining.Next time I'll stick to my tried and true burger.
Buffet for Valentine's Day was fabulous, our waiter-Ty- was exceptionally attentive, and the view/ambiance was wonderful. Have been to this restaurant several times before, never disappoints! Looking forward to the next opportunity to dine at Plumeria Beach house!
We had a wonderful dinner Saturday evening with friends to celebrate a couple of Birthdays. We stayed at the resort but they drove in from HNL and it was a quick trip. The Seafood buffet was amazing! Lots of variety and something for everyone. I would go on the earlier side however because some things they ran out of after 8:00 pm. The view you can't beat! Will be back next time we come to HI!
Hostess seating was the most horrible experience. I made my reservation for 4 a month in advance. We arrived 10 minutes early for a 6:30 seating. We were asked to wait. At 6:45 a group of 4 showed up and said “we are here for a 6:30 reservation.” The hostess immediately seated them. We were already waiting 25 minutes. When I told the hostess we were there before that group, she said that they were waiting for part of their group, which I knew was not so because we were there waiting a lot earlier. That was terrible that they selected certain people to seat before my reservation. When we got there earlier. They said we could wait at the bar with a 1 year old. We waited at the bar until 7:00 and no one came to get us yet, I looked around other groups of 4 were being seated. However, the bartender was wonderful. She set up a nice table at the bar for us and served us. THE TWO HOSTESSES
WAS VERY HORRIBLE FOR FORGETTING ABOUT US!!! The whole experience was wonderful with the exception of the two hostesses.
The service of this restaurant was terrible. I made reservation online and specifically requested to sit inside. However, the waitress made us sit at an outside table and was unwilling to switch the table stated the inside tables are mostly for alders and handicaps. Then when it was started to rain, several waiters and waitresses were unwilling to move us, not until we have complained to the manager. The services were also quite slow.
While the food were fresh and quite taste, but lack of variety. Not really worth the money. We had other buffet on the island that was much cheaper and with better food and services.
This is my favorite place in Hawaii to enjoy the beauty of the islands and delicious food.
The service is warm, friendly and professional all at the same time.
The menu changes but always
provides great variety using local ingredients and original combination of condiments etc.
The value for what you pay is excellent.
The obvious are the beautiful scenery and high price. Food and service were good and being able to valet is a bonus. There were birds waiting for you to leave the table so be careful if you decide on outdoor seating. The one and very important item I wish they would do better is controlling the flies. It was landing on foods and that pretty much ended my brunch. Otherwise the high cost, humidity and birds will not stop me from returning but if I see those flies again, it’ll be couple years before I give it another try.
Overall superb. Service A+, food excellent- wonderful meal size salads (one member disappointed with special as too oily), amazing sandwiches and all in a gorgeous setting at a VERY reasonable price.
Highly recommended- and besides, when it's done you can see the dolphins.
I’ve had the seafood buffet as well as lunches here. I’ve been coming to this spot throughout the years and have loved all of it. The view is wonderful, beach without the busyness of Waikiki and the ocean vista beautiful without a long drive.
I must say I find the food at its best right now. The menu is more creative than in the past, and I think the Asian offerings better than ever. Even in a buffet, each dish is given special attention, each worthy of appreciation.
Service is good, and as I am lactose intolerant, I appreciate the df code. Smart because the.server doesn’t have to constantly go to the kitchen for such information.
Every member of staff shows a lot of aloha. I like the mix of diners -- local, tourist, old and young and all are enjoying themselves. Everything on the menu looks good and will appeal to all tastes. The ocean view further adds to the pure enjoyment of dining there.
Everything was fine. Our waitress "Z" short for her Chinese name was attentive and very pleasant. The bus person made sure that our water glasses were always filled. The food selection was awesome and very delicious. I'm especially pleased that the buffet includes sushi, not the fancy kind but the simple maki sushi and cone sushi. Salad selection was great. I'm not a seafood eater but still enjoyed the prime rib and other entrees. To the max, just wonderful. Thank you.
Being kamaiina night salad bar need more local items like fish/tako poke, mac salad, tofu salad, lomi salmon etc. Tempura entree had too much batter and greasy. Miso butterfish entree needs more miso taste. Rolls tasteless, lavosh stale. Coffee/tea should be included in cost. Dessert bar very good. I had
special occasion (birthday) entered
in my reservation but had nothing special.
