Plumeria Beach House Ratings and Reviews
The menu was EXCELLENT! That butter fish is what would make me come back it was fabulous! The last 2 times I came to the seafood buffet, butter fish wasn't on the line. How can I find out when it'll be on the line again? Denise was an exceptional wait help, it really is the staff that makes the experience memorable.
It is such a lovely atmosphere. Being on the ocean (even though it was rainy) is always pleasant. The staff is friendly and also pay a great deal of attention to you. We also had a glass of champagne at the Beach Bar and then walked the lobby as their Christmas Decorations are absolutely breathtaking. All in all we had a wonderful time!
We love going to Plumeria Beach House restaurant. Always great food and excellent service. Our waiter Gavin was super sweet and really great. Very attentive to our needs. You will not regret your time at Plumeria Beach House. Be sure to make reservations for Friday or Saturday night buffet, its the best.
We went on a Friday when there's a seafood buffet. Two of us had the buffet, which had a large variety of salads, pupus, sushi, and seafood, plus beef and pork belly at the chef's station. I love the salads, sushi, and the bread pudding! The only disappointment was the fried fish in sweet and sour sauce -- the fish was fresh and good, if a bit dry, but the sauce was on the skin side so didn't flavor the fish. There's a small a la carte menu on buffet night, and 2 in our group opted for the Caesar salad and shared a steak. Large portions, and the dressing for the salad was so good that one friend used it as a dip for bread. Note that wine is expensive here.
It was a very busy evening with lots of large groups, and the inner dining area was full because of windy, inclement weather. That made dining noisy, but the service was very good.
My group of 12 enjoyed our lunch at Plumeria Beach House on Friday, 12/1/17. I did request seating inside, but we were seated outside, but it turned out nice. Thank you for celebrating 3 of our birthdays with delicious slices of guava cheesecake. Our server was very nice and accommodating. We were quite surprised though that the ice tea price was $7, more than the coffee and I think the expresso, etc. I thought that when I went with 3 friends on Wed., 11/15, the ice tea price was $4 and the Plantation ice tea was $5. We were not given menus to look at the prices of the drinks before we ordered them.
We enjoyed the Seafood buffet on November 24th. The fish were really, really fresh and the prime rib extremely tender.
Our waiters could have been more attentive with removing our dishes after each entree.
We enjoyed the complimentary birthday cake and mango sorbet for my Sister.
My husband and I have come here for multiple occasions and every time has been wonderful. It is very well maintained, the waitstaff is super friendly and very attentive. We enjoy the food and selection. The view of the ocean is amazing and the atmosphere is very relaxing.
Plumeria Beach House is one of my favourite places to visit in Hawaii and I love taking people there for the first time. The a la carte menu is great and the meals are huge! The corn beef hash is very nice but my new favourite is not always on the menu - smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel - the BEST! I photographed it once and now show it to other restaurants and cafes to see if anyone can live up to it - no-one else can even come close!
The only problem I had with this restaurant was the birds that kept on bothering us for food. We were sitting in the inner part and it was terrible. They would go in the bread bowl and on peoples plates. I think that’s a big health hazard.
I was very disappointed! They have gotten worse!
Sorry to say this was my least favorite visit to restaurant. The salad was probably worse I️ have had at this caliber restaurant. Like they ran out of dressing after putting one fourth of the needed amount and I️ don’t like lots of dressing on salads. Could have asked for more dressing but didn’t. Clam linguine was dry and had no flavor. My wife had halibut but again no flavor. Service was not great at all. Very friendly but had hard time understanding and I️ am local and used to speaking with ESL individuals.
I saw the plumeria seafood buffet on the kahala hotel website, so since it was my husband, niece, and sister in law birthdays I decided to try it. The buffet was good the fish was very fresh. The nigri sushi was very good the sashimi was very fresh. Was a little disappointed on the hot entree line had to wait for the steam crab to come out once it came out ran out again I guess people just load up their plates the miso butterfish was always empty in the steamer but at least My family enjoyed and that's the main thing.I feel that they just couldn't keep up replenishing the buffet line with all the people eating their seafood all at once, and even when the crowd died down some of their trays were empty.
