Plumeria Beach House Ratings and Reviews
I’ve had the seafood buffet as well as lunches here. I’ve been coming to this spot throughout the years and have loved all of it. The view is wonderful, beach without the busyness of Waikiki and the ocean vista beautiful without a long drive.
I must say I find the food at its best right now. The menu is more creative than in the past, and I think the Asian offerings better than ever. Even in a buffet, each dish is given special attention, each worthy of appreciation.
Service is good, and as I am lactose intolerant, I appreciate the df code. Smart because the.server doesn’t have to constantly go to the kitchen for such information.
Every member of staff shows a lot of aloha. I like the mix of diners -- local, tourist, old and young and all are enjoying themselves. Everything on the menu looks good and will appeal to all tastes. The ocean view further adds to the pure enjoyment of dining there.
Everything was fine. Our waitress "Z" short for her Chinese name was attentive and very pleasant. The bus person made sure that our water glasses were always filled. The food selection was awesome and very delicious. I'm especially pleased that the buffet includes sushi, not the fancy kind but the simple maki sushi and cone sushi. Salad selection was great. I'm not a seafood eater but still enjoyed the prime rib and other entrees. To the max, just wonderful. Thank you.
Being kamaiina night salad bar need more local items like fish/tako poke, mac salad, tofu salad, lomi salmon etc. Tempura entree had too much batter and greasy. Miso butterfish entree needs more miso taste. Rolls tasteless, lavosh stale. Coffee/tea should be included in cost. Dessert bar very good. I had
special occasion (birthday) entered
in my reservation but had nothing special.
That was a sunny day, and we had branch for my wife's birthday. When the staff took us to a table outside, we asked to be seated inside. The staff took us back and had us wait for 10-15 minutes. She finally called us and took us to a table. On the way, she told us that the seat will be outside but in the most inner area, under a shade. When she took us to the table, she said "oh, this was actually a table reserved for a group of 10 people. Are you interested in the table over there?" That was just a table outside. It was not as sunny as before, so we agreed. But the sun came out of cloud very soon. We were eating under the sun. When I saw only one person was sitting on the table supposedly for 10 people, I realized she tricked us. She could have politely asked or explained whatever reasons we could not sit inside. Probably she had been doing it for years with people who were not on their good customer list. They should know nobody wants to be tricked. And we now remember the restaurant only by the dirty trick, not the taste or atmosphere.
There were six of us (friends from grade school) getting together for the holidays. We were seated off to the side as requested and were able leisurely enjoy a great lunch, exchange gifts and catch up on the latest family news. I would recommend it to anyone for a pleasant lunch get together.
The menu was EXCELLENT! That butter fish is what would make me come back it was fabulous! The last 2 times I came to the seafood buffet, butter fish wasn't on the line. How can I find out when it'll be on the line again? Denise was an exceptional wait help, it really is the staff that makes the experience memorable.
It is such a lovely atmosphere. Being on the ocean (even though it was rainy) is always pleasant. The staff is friendly and also pay a great deal of attention to you. We also had a glass of champagne at the Beach Bar and then walked the lobby as their Christmas Decorations are absolutely breathtaking. All in all we had a wonderful time!
We love going to Plumeria Beach House restaurant. Always great food and excellent service. Our waiter Gavin was super sweet and really great. Very attentive to our needs. You will not regret your time at Plumeria Beach House. Be sure to make reservations for Friday or Saturday night buffet, its the best.
We went on a Friday when there's a seafood buffet. Two of us had the buffet, which had a large variety of salads, pupus, sushi, and seafood, plus beef and pork belly at the chef's station. I love the salads, sushi, and the bread pudding! The only disappointment was the fried fish in sweet and sour sauce -- the fish was fresh and good, if a bit dry, but the sauce was on the skin side so didn't flavor the fish. There's a small a la carte menu on buffet night, and 2 in our group opted for the Caesar salad and shared a steak. Large portions, and the dressing for the salad was so good that one friend used it as a dip for bread. Note that wine is expensive here.
It was a very busy evening with lots of large groups, and the inner dining area was full because of windy, inclement weather. That made dining noisy, but the service was very good.
My group of 12 enjoyed our lunch at Plumeria Beach House on Friday, 12/1/17. I did request seating inside, but we were seated outside, but it turned out nice. Thank you for celebrating 3 of our birthdays with delicious slices of guava cheesecake. Our server was very nice and accommodating. We were quite surprised though that the ice tea price was $7, more than the coffee and I think the expresso, etc. I thought that when I went with 3 friends on Wed., 11/15, the ice tea price was $4 and the Plantation ice tea was $5. We were not given menus to look at the prices of the drinks before we ordered them.
