Players Sports Grill & Arcade Ratings and Reviews
Had such a great time! It was "sunday funday" for us.. And we decided to take a trip to frisco (from hayward) usually we would go to the rainforest cafe..kids love it there..but they're closed now 😫 players was the perfect spot to take the kids.!!!! Very stress free! Excellent customer service! food was great! And the arcade was a majorrrr plus. Spent a good amount of time in the arcade awesome game selections..and the prizes were cool too! Such friendly customers aswell, 3 espérate couples blessed our 3 kids with there game cards as they were leaving. Giving my boys extra tickets/points for prizes. We thought that was super cool of them to do that! We'll definitely be back!
Thank you for such an awesome experience.
We made a reservation for 5 people at 7pm to watch the Warriors game. Requested to be placed near the large screen television. When we arrived they said we missed our reservation at 5pm. I showed them my email from Open Table confirming my reservation at 7. They then sat us at a table, which did have a television, but was not near the large screen. Food was so so, but overpriced. If you want jalapenos on the nachos they actually charge you more. The kids enjoyed playing the arcade games, but the games were super expensive so their money didn't last long. Overall the atmosphere was ok. Bathrooms were run down and dirty. Not in a huge rush to return.
My family and I were seated in the Tiki bar area. Took 15 minutes to be acknowledged by one of the 5 servers/bartenders/managers working.
Food was mediocre. Not great, but not horrible. I could see it as a cool place for adults to hang out at the bar. I didn't get a family feel though. There were more drunk adults in the arcade than children (at 7pm on a Sunday) fyi. The kids chicken tenders taste like curry. A little suprising for a 6 year old. Food over priced $145 for 4 adult meals (2 of which were sandwiches) and 1 kids meal and 5 sodas.
Went here for Super Bowl with 3 other guests and was advised when making reservation there would be a $30 per person charge if we were a no show. I agreed to terms but I was never advised there was a $20 cover! I feel I was absolutely fleeced and have expressed my concerns to AMX. Spent over $300 so they should have answered my request to speak to manager. AMX to the rescue I guess! They didn't say one word to anyone in my party about a cover charge until it was just included in my bill. Sad way to make a buck!!!
I can't actually review it here because despite taking my reservation for a corporate group of 14 people, they decided to close for the evening without telling anyone. We showed up and it was dark and locked. I called the next day they said oops, we had some kitchen repairs. A heads up would have been nice! Not sure how a business can run like that.
We were there during one of the busiest weekends in San Francisco and had a party of 18 people. Everyone that helped us was super accommodating and the service was fast and friendly. The food was good and the prices reasonable. Definitely recommend this place but try to get seated in the back by the windows that look out onto Alcatraz!
Cons: Food was overpriced and lacked taste. It was as if they went out of there way to not make the food have no taste at all. Philly Cheesesteak was dry as the desert. Fries were uninspired.
Pro: good waitress and good serivice. Lots of tvs so good place to watch sports if you don't mind poor quality food that is overpriced.
Went here twice within a 3 day stop in San Fran to see the Warriors play.
Very good food for a sports bar and good value/portion sizes. Alcohol a little bit pricey but Bud etc are at reasonable prices. Good arcade to that keeps the kids or adults quiet!
Book in advance if you want to watch any of the major sporting events.
We selected this place for our son's seventh birthday. The food was better than expected, staff was nice, and they have good drinks. Only draw back is they have limited gaming compared to the Musee Mecanique, however they Musee does not have food. I would recommendthe barin the back for the view if you are kid-free.
Searched for places to watch NFL live on week 1 Sunday. Had a little concern from some of the reviews we read but.....all in all it's a Sports Bar. Service could have been better and the food was bar quality but the Lite beer was cold. Manager lets us in early too pick out our spot and TV's which was nice. Think the large crowd for opening Sunday caught the management team a little off guard but they called in extra help and by second quarter things were running smoothly. I will return my next trip to San Francisco
Food and drinkswas good. Fun wild time . Place was off the hook during march madness. Agood game on every wall TV. Kids loved the game something for everyone. Only bad part was the issue with our credit card being swiped twice. The G.M.'s James and Matt took care it right away and took care of us too boot. Thanx Matt and James!!! See ya soon.
I picked this place because it was one of only a few restaurants that could accommodate a party of 14 family members, and because it had an arcade for the 3 children we'd have in our party and had chicken tenders on the menu, one kid's favorite. It is a sports-bar atmosphere with many big screens showing the current ballgames. The menu was surprisingly varied and had something for everyone, and the food and service was good. I liked it a lot but the downside is that it's very noisy and hard to have a conversation with your table-mates. If you are hosting a party night for a gaggle of 12 year olds, this is the perfect place. After eating, you can play typical arcade games or can walk around and enjoy the sights of Pier 39, lots of great stores and even a carousel.
We stopped in near closing time so the place was a little empty. It reminds me of an ESPN Zone with all the arcade. Plenty of TV'S if your looking to see a game while you eat. Your kids will have plenty to do. The food was above standard bar fair and reasonably priced for San Francisco.
Perfect location to watch the Giants World Series game. Beautiful view of Alcatraz, lots of TVs and plenty of games to keep the kids busy. We arrived early and had a party of 2 adults and 7 kids and they took such good care of us on a very busy night. The manager, hostess and waitress were all attentive and couldn't be nicer. Not the place to go if you want a quiet evening, but definitely the place to go if you are a sports fan. Love the Tiki bar!
I've been her before and it wasn't bad, but this experience was pretty bad. Granted long weekend and busy tourst were all crazy, but it's never an excuse for bad service. Food that was ordered was never brought out comp'd because it was there mistake, food that was tasteless and dry, a drink made wrong, but a rude bartender that makes things her own way, but doesn't understand customer service nor provides it.
