Play at The Broadmoor

While our resort is a highly regarded destination for fine dining, Play offers a distinctly fun take on dining at The Broadmoor. The menu is designed to delight, with whimsical plates that combine retro Americana favorites such as a custom burger bar with house blend beef patties, chicken and vegetarian options. Classic salads and flatbreads round out the menu to satisfy the pickiest of palates. Adults can enjoy nostalgic cocktails, Colorado microbrews, wines, and spirits, or an adult milkshake while catching the game at the bar. This fun-filled Colorado restaurant also features bowling lanes, a shuffleboard table, a pool table, foosball and game monitors to keep the family fun going all night.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL BOWLING LANE RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE SEPARATELY.

This place was very cool and worth visiting if your at the Broadmoor. The drinks were good, service was great and the food was surprisingly good. The only thing you should be aware of is that it is $50 an hour for a lane. This could be a good deal if you have a big group but, if your crew is small, this is pricy for bowling.
Great atmosphere, great food!
Staff was very professional and glad to serve.
Give it a try!
Unfortunately, we were disappointed in Play at The Broadmoor. I was expecting an upscale sports bar but really felt like it was just a fancy burger joint. There is only 1 pool table and shuffle board game and if it's busy, you have to fight to get any time on those. The food was average at best and one of our burgers had to be sent back because it was burnt and overdone. There are no TVs in the dining area so if you want to watch a game while eating, you have to go stand by the bar or the pool table to see it. Also, bowling is completely separate so you have to reserve that at a different time than when you are in the dining area. The bar area and bowling lanes are nice so if I was to go again, that is where I would spend my time instead of the sit down dining area.
It was just okay. The advertising of it was better than the reality. Food is fine, though overly salty. The tater tots smothered in cheese and meat sounded like a delicious guilty pleasure but was very greasy. Our server was very nice but it took forever to get our check due to the food coming from different locations or some other reason i did not understand.
It was pretty slow service.
Our service was so slow (the place was almost empty when we arrived) and we paid $100 for 2 burgers and 2 drinks. We are blue collar, hard working class people coming for one night to try to get away for a big birthday, and choose this place over the others because it was the cheapest. The automatic 20% gratuity on everything is a complete scam and rip off. This means you can have horrible, slow service and you have to pay an outrageous amount for it. The food was just barely okay and way over salty.
The Broadmoor overall is only for a certain class of people that can bleed a ton of money for nothing. This is not even remotely affordable for the middle class. The only good reviews I have seen were all from people who came here on business and didn’t have to pay for themselves.
This was a great place to visit, eat some great food and do some bowling. Just be prepared to spend some money. Dinner, drinks for 2 and a kid with an hour of bowling was well over 200. Would go again for the great service and comfortable atmosphere, but for the price will not be doing it all the time.
Has a fantastic lunch, incredible service as you expect at any of the Broadmoor facilities. Would have marked it louder if more bowling had been going on, but only a few frames were played while we ate. Reasonable prices.
Food & service was excellent. Too difficult to see the Super Bowl from certain tables.
Too expensive for basic food
The food was delicious and it was a family friendly atmosphere. We had a wonderful time!
We went here with some friends while staying at the Broadmoor and had an excellent time. The food is classic American but with quality ingredients and creativity in every dish. Definitely would recommend and just like any restaurant at the Broadmoor, the service is top notch.
The menu has changed and now very limited options--pizza, burgers and salads. Prices went up and the quality of the food went down. The flatbread pizza used to be my son's favorite, rectangular and served on a wooden plank, but now just a generic round pizza. It was very noisy and service was not great. Had to wait about 20 minutes to get the check after the server cleared our plates. They also automatically add a 24% tip.
Our experience was absolutely AWFUL! Service was super slow, went a long time with empty beverages and to top it all off I asked for a burger no pink. The first was actually red and bloody, 30 mins later a 2nd was brought out. Mind you by this time my entire family was already done eating.. the 2nd burger was still pink! What a nice way to ruin my meal with my family. The manager didnt even have enough decency to come to the table and apologize. I wouldn't recommend this restuarant to anyone and I will be sharing my review everywhere possible. For a Broadmoor restuarant this place is such a shame!!
Boring menu- not worth the $$. The spinach salad was flavourless and too simple. Tatortots were exactly what I have in my freezer. We love the Broadmoor and will not be going back to Play. Now I know why I hadn't been back in a couple of years.
Fun and inviting. Casual menu - large portions. Friendly, quick service. Bowling was fun too!
Yikes stay away from this place ,you’ve been warned
I loved it..was very beautiful ava my daughter was very pleased. We celebrated her birthday with some family and they enjoyed themselves it was their first time there so they were so excited to see everything and the food was delicious and the waiter as well was very great and fast...thank you so much
Food is not not good. Fun to bowl, but eat elsewhere first.
A great night for bowling and food. Pizzas were good and service was excellent. Gets to be a little expensive between bowling, food, and drinks, but we had a great time as a family.
Such a fun environment! Great for a date night with friends. Unique set up with bowling lanes.
The food is in line with a bar/billiards atmosphere- nachos, wings, burgers were all good. The key is to book your bowling reservation as far in advance as you make dinner reservations. Bowling filled up fast during our week.
I was a bit worried that we wouldn't enjoy the food, since I read a lot of reviews stating it was not as good as it should be, but I would have to disagree. They cooked our medium and medium rare burgers perfectly. Food was hot and drinks were tasty with great presentation. The service was excellent. They were nice enough to prepare our table with balloons and flowers for our special celebration. We bowled after dinner and the service was still excellent! I would recommend anyone to go, it's a lot of fun with a great atmosphere! Our party of 5 enjoyed everything about our visit!
Great burgers and great "adult" shakes! My fav is the s'mores shake!😝
Bartender was great. Drinks were spot on. Friendly staff. Bowling and TV viewing was superb. Dining was okay. Pizza was sub-par. Caprese salad was weak. Server was nice. Manager seemed off his game or was not in a good mood. Seemed pretentious.
FUN! Taylor was a fantastic server when we were bowling!...drinks and food choices were really good!...fun evening and I would do again!
Great drinks and good food!
Fine. It was a bowling alley.
Very disappointing. We left because we sat there for 20 minutes and didn’t receive any service, not even drinks.
My wife and I celebrate our 11 year anniversary.
The burgers were great, very flavorful. It would have been nice if there were more entrees to choose from. Service was attentive and thoughtful.
We had late night Alcohol Shakes and Chicken Nachos. It was all good! Just a little confused about the 20% service charge added to all food bills. Our waiter did not tell us about it, but our waitress at the Golden Bee earlier that day did. Still was unclear if this is the gratuity tip or some other resort fee. If it is indeed a tip, we way over tipped for breakfast, where they did not tell us about it either, or if it is not, we under tipped at the other restaurants. Other than that, it was great!
My daughter and i were here for my birthday weekend. We decided to go light for dinner because we had reservations for Sunday brunch. We ordered 3 appetizers: tuna poke, calamari and wings. Everything was simply delicious, but the staff made everything very special. I really appreciated their kindness and friendliness. I ordered a Thyme for Play cocktail and the drink was amazingly tasty. My daughter ordered the creamy, festive chocolate shake and they gave it to us for free. We had such a good time for just a casual dinner. So much thanks!
Great afternoon of bowling and lunch with visiting family. The service and food was excellent.
We were very disappointed. We took our grandchildren here for the weekend. We couldn't get bowling reservations but were assured there were many other things for the kids to do. There were some other things like foosball and pool, but they were constantly used so our kids got to do nothing. Food was ok, nothing outstanding. Prices were ridiculous for what it was.
We found Play very disappointing, ordered an appetizer and burgers, one was over cooked, and took forever to get a second burger, two of our people didn’t even eat them and didn’t care to. One flat bread had jalapeños on it that were so hot it made my husband choke, even once he took them off he could barely eat half of it, and it was extremely small to begin with. The service was so slow and it was very, very warm in the restaurant, making it quite uncomfortable. I would not go back. For the amount of money we spent and none of us enjoyed it enough to even finish our meal was pathetic.
Enjoyed our night at Play
Polite and accommodating service
Good food and desserts
We missed some of the items that had been removed from the menu like the rice bowls
Loved the game room
Food was great, and we even ended up with a plate of complimentary nachos. The only thing I didn’t care for was they automatically added 20% gratuity to our check; it was only me, my husband, our 2 year old, and newborn. I thought that was only used for big parties. Anyhow, it was great and we will definitely try more dining options at The Broadmoor in the future!
We wanted a casual environment since we had the kids with us so we chose Play. It wasn't bad, but the menu is very limited. The atmosphere is casual but not nearly as amazing as the rest of the property. We were a little disappointed with our choice and will choose differently next time if we get the chance to get back to the Broadmoor.
The food is overpriced and barely edible. No one in our group could believe how truly awful it was, given this is a Broadmoor restaurant. I cannot overstate how bad it was. It started with the nachos that literally were drowning in liquid cheez product with a plop of guac and sour cream - nothing else, not even salsa. We asked for salsa and were delivered a serving in what appeared to be a thimble. Nothing improved from there. Super disappointing.
