Great burgers and great "adult" shakes! My fav is the s'mores shake!😝
Bartender was great. Drinks were spot on. Friendly staff. Bowling and TV viewing was superb. Dining was okay. Pizza was sub-par. Caprese salad was weak. Server was nice. Manager seemed off his game or was not in a good mood. Seemed pretentious.
FUN! Taylor was a fantastic server when we were bowling!...drinks and food choices were really good!...fun evening and I would do again!
Great drinks and good food!
Fine. It was a bowling alley.
Very disappointing. We left because we sat there for 20 minutes and didn’t receive any service, not even drinks.
My wife and I celebrate our 11 year anniversary.
The burgers were great, very flavorful. It would have been nice if there were more entrees to choose from. Service was attentive and thoughtful.
We had late night Alcohol Shakes and Chicken Nachos. It was all good! Just a little confused about the 20% service charge added to all food bills. Our waiter did not tell us about it, but our waitress at the Golden Bee earlier that day did. Still was unclear if this is the gratuity tip or some other resort fee. If it is indeed a tip, we way over tipped for breakfast, where they did not tell us about it either, or if it is not, we under tipped at the other restaurants. Other than that, it was great!
My daughter and i were here for my birthday weekend. We decided to go light for dinner because we had reservations for Sunday brunch. We ordered 3 appetizers: tuna poke, calamari and wings. Everything was simply delicious, but the staff made everything very special. I really appreciated their kindness and friendliness. I ordered a Thyme for Play cocktail and the drink was amazingly tasty. My daughter ordered the creamy, festive chocolate shake and they gave it to us for free. We had such a good time for just a casual dinner. So much thanks!
Great afternoon of bowling and lunch with visiting family. The service and food was excellent.
We were very disappointed. We took our grandchildren here for the weekend. We couldn't get bowling reservations but were assured there were many other things for the kids to do. There were some other things like foosball and pool, but they were constantly used so our kids got to do nothing. Food was ok, nothing outstanding. Prices were ridiculous for what it was.
We found Play very disappointing, ordered an appetizer and burgers, one was over cooked, and took forever to get a second burger, two of our people didn’t even eat them and didn’t care to. One flat bread had jalapeños on it that were so hot it made my husband choke, even once he took them off he could barely eat half of it, and it was extremely small to begin with. The service was so slow and it was very, very warm in the restaurant, making it quite uncomfortable. I would not go back. For the amount of money we spent and none of us enjoyed it enough to even finish our meal was pathetic.
Enjoyed our night at Play
Polite and accommodating service
Good food and desserts
We missed some of the items that had been removed from the menu like the rice bowls
Loved the game room
Food was great, and we even ended up with a plate of complimentary nachos. The only thing I didn’t care for was they automatically added 20% gratuity to our check; it was only me, my husband, our 2 year old, and newborn. I thought that was only used for big parties. Anyhow, it was great and we will definitely try more dining options at The Broadmoor in the future!
We wanted a casual environment since we had the kids with us so we chose Play. It wasn't bad, but the menu is very limited. The atmosphere is casual but not nearly as amazing as the rest of the property. We were a little disappointed with our choice and will choose differently next time if we get the chance to get back to the Broadmoor.
The food is overpriced and barely edible. No one in our group could believe how truly awful it was, given this is a Broadmoor restaurant. I cannot overstate how bad it was. It started with the nachos that literally were drowning in liquid cheez product with a plop of guac and sour cream - nothing else, not even salsa. We asked for salsa and were delivered a serving in what appeared to be a thimble. Nothing improved from there. Super disappointing.
We had a ball, our waiter (David from Hungry) was the best! We laughed though dinner and even more while we pretended we knew how to bowl. Great fun and a most memorable evening .
Really fun for a little family time. We only bowled but had some drinks. I loved the kids menu because the drinks were so special. My daughter couldn't believe she got to have such a pretty chocolate milk. Very good atmosphere and nice people
Don't really leave reviews but thought I would on this one. Neat idea with the games and it was well advertised that bowling required separate reservations. What rubbed us the wrong way was they have a shuffleboard table, foosball table & pool table. We sat and ordered and never once saw anyone at the shuffleboard table so we got up to play while we were waiting for our food and after we had been playing for about 10 minutes the hostess came over and told us the table had been reserved by someone else there but that they were leaving and said it would be OK if we played. I understand about reserving bowling, but come on, you have to reserve everything? And no where was any of that posted. If you are not going to post it anywhere then at least have the server explain it. Plus, if you are not actively playing then you shouldn't be able just to reserve it so no one else can play. Food was average and overpriced.
Place smelled of fish. Nothing fresh on the menu, not even a salad. 20 percent tip automatically added is ridiculous.
Good selection is poor. Quality of food fair. But I can say the same thing for all the food at The Broadmoor. Such a strange menu with over priced entrees and no real options for sides.
Service in the restaurant was friendly, but slow and inattentive. Had to repeatedly ask for drink refills, etc. Service at the bowling alley was prompt, courteous, responsive.
It wasnt worth the price. It was ok but I expected more than what I was given
Food was not very good but the milkshake was good. Kinda bland food
Had the poke and edamame. Relieved to find options without breading all over them at a bowling alley!
Too loud. Bowling is fun. Overall food needs improvement. Kid friendly. But as usual parents don't control children.
Most of our dishes were great! I would suggest the Truffle popcorn be made with truffle.
It's hard to give an appropriate review. While we did have a very good time, and we did enjoy the food, one of the four items we bought to eat was kind of a miss. Then, the bowling was way overpriced and all of the other amenities were used… So we actually left the site without playing anything.
Service was very slow and definitely not up to The Broadmoor standard. Definitely not worth the money spent.
Food was lukewarm, even faster being sent back to be warned up.
Service was good and it's a fun place for kids to hang out but expensive for the mediocre food.
The food was very poor and the service was shockingly inadequate. This is a Broadmoor eatery, but this restaurant fell far below my previous Broadmoor experiences. The automatic 20% gratuity, including on the cost of bowling (??!!) has resulted in an unmotivated staff that no longer strives to please. We found this to be true in several of the bars nd restaurants. Ver sad! Five stars n longer!
Not only is the food over priced, it is fair at best. The nachos were cold tortillas chips with some type of cheese product on top. The kids' drinks were almost $5 dollars each and should have been included in the kids meal. The staff was very nice and the kids had a good time with the games. However, definitely not worth the price - bummer.
Did a company party there. Broadmoor is always one of our favorites. Burgers seemed to be the best choice. Sushi wasn't up to our standards...( we may be "Sushi Snobs"..). Service was attentive.
Overall, we had a real good time
The setting had a club-like feel with its leather chairs, historic photos, and low ceilings. It was not as loud as I expected it might be, in spite of bowling lanes and pool table inside. (That is, until a party of about four adults who could not or did not care to reprimand about eight loud, obnoxious children were seated nearby.)
Edamame appetizer was quite good. I heard that the mac and cheese needed more flavor, and salt and pepper had to be requested. Sushi was so-so in that it was mostly rice with a scant amount of trout I was looking forward to. We left without ordering dessert, due to noise.
Breath-taking views, beautiful property, great food!
Food was good, but a bit overpriced for the serving size - our server was excellent and very attentive. We were going to bowl as a family after dinner, but found the $50/hr rate absurd just to bowl...
I live in Colurado Springs and was visiting my 91-year old father who was a hotel guest. Because he was ailing, we weren't able to plan ahead for reservations at Ristorante del lago, and Play was our only option, other than room service.
This place would be delightful for families with children, and I saw lots of teenagers enjoying themselves.
The noise was just too much for us, but the food was good, and service was impeccable!
Hamburger was disappointing. I've had better. Lively ambience was perfect for families and young children.
Althought the food was good, our server Micah really made the dining experience exceptional. Micah provided outstanding customer service for our group two evenings in a row. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered accurate descriptions of the dishes. He was very pleasant and personable.
