Good food and great service
Great food, wonderful service!
Plates is a wonderful restaurant for foodies. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food in the beautiful patio area. We highly recommend this restaurant.
We experienced a lovely dinner on the patio. The food was fabulous and so was the service. The staff was very attentive to all of our needs. We were able to engage in people watching and heard great music from across the street!
Great neighborhood restaurant offering attentive service and delicious food. Brunch is a must do!
Food was amazing, service was prompt. Friend really enjoyed his waffles. Was wondering why cheeseboard came in a bowl but menus were on a board. Love the place.
Plates is my go to spot for a girls night where we can sip glasses of wine and eat yummy cheese. It frequently comes to mind when thinking a nice brunch spot with outdoor seating. So glad I have this little treasure in my Glenwood South neighborhood.
We had a great meal and were able to hold a conversation. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful.
In celebration of my birthday, we decided to try this place for the first time. Loved the food, service and pottery. Nice atmosphere
Great farm to fork food. We always enjoy our meals here and love to sit outside. Sitting inside can be an issue because they tend to keep the music a little too loud in that small space. But when the weather is nice it’s a great place to get some delicious food
Absolutely wonderful meal (brunch) and service. Treated us so special for our anniversary.
A new chef just started that week. Had good potential, I will give it a second chance at a later date. Super cute patio? Dog friendly.
Absolutely delicious! What a wonderful surprise, and we are just sorry that we had not eaten here previously. We have only had catering from Plates, and it was wonderful. Our meals were creative without being overboard; creative and still being able to actually taste the unique flavor of each food item. Every item was fresh and superb! Would give six stars if we could!
Excellent in every way. Fit for foodies
What a great experience. We arrived 1/2 hour early for our reservation, no problem. Our waitress Caroline was fantastic! Made great suggestions. Everything was made in house or locally sourced. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try. They are doing all the right things.
This has become our favorite hot spot for dining out. Each time we visit we are in for another amazing palate pleasing experience. The plates come out as visually stunning as they taste. You feel like you are with family, the ambience is inviting and you are in no hurry to leave. The staff are incredibly accommodating and genuinely love what they do! If you have not been take the time and go then you will indeed be hooked. Chef Jake Wood and Sous Chef Eddie Forbis are making their mark on Glenwood South. We appreciate it and so do many of our friends! Cheers!
Excellent. Fit for foodies
Overall, good food. The pimento fritters and date cake were my favorites. We would visit again.
They did a fabulous job for the restaurant week meal and their wait staff is terrific!!
Jake Wood is an asset to Raleigh. His farm-to-table approach wins every time.
Very good food and great service. I loved the outdoor seating, as well.
We tried this during restaurant week and absolutely loved it. Great seasonal ingredients used in a unique way. Cocktails were fantastic too.
Great food, great service, top spot. Some plates were just outstanding.
Another great meal! The food and service are consistently excellent! This is going to the top of our list for our favorite local farm to fork restaurant. Love the fresh herbs outside next to the patio
We felt a bit neglected and my over easy eggs were as hard as rocks.
Super friendly staff. Outdoor seating is perfect and it is in the neighborhood.
A lovely place to Brunch after Church on Sunday. We sat outside enjoying the beautiful weather while we dined on their delicious deviled eggs and crafted cocktails. I enjoyed the Power Bowl and my husband enjoyed the Eggs Benedict And Crabcake. Our waitress was super efficient and friendly. We will definitely go again.
It was awesome. Our female waiter was very attentive and personable. The food was awesome. Love the zucchini noodles and also the trout special. Will definitely be back.
Food was overpriced for portion sizes. Execution in presentation was beautiful but the taste did not match the look. Also, the dish I ordered with zoodles the zoodles were served raw but this was not mentioned in the description and this dish was listed as a "main" and not a salad. I don't think I will dine here again.
Delicious food. 100% recommend for tasty yet healthy options. Will go back for sure. The new chef is awesome
Delicious food and great customer service.
Reservation was perfectly honored. The service was excellent, food was AMAZING. Would definitely recommend, and I'll absolutely be going back!
Excellent service, and wonderful seasonal menu. We asked the kitchen for a couple of substitutions and they were happy to make those. Will definitely return. Loved the Watermelon & Arugula salad.
We arrived late and drenched for our reservation, having been caught in a unexpected downpour. The staff were very gracious and empathetic. We shared some delicious plates — the Brussels sprouts were the best take on fried Brussels sprouts we have had, and we have sampled them many places! We also enjoyed the toffee bread pudding and peach cobbler desserts, and an excellent bottle of Au Bon Climat Hildegard white table wine. Despite our less than comfortable state upon arrival, it was a pleasant meal and time together.
Wonderful dining experience. Had friends from out of town and they were impressed. Alex, our server. Jake the executive chef and Justin, the co-owner, were all exceptional. The appetizers, the main courses and the desserts were enjoyed by all. Not one complaint. Alex picked my wines for each course and they were terrific. Can't say enough good things about our dining experience. Lots of choices in the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill area but this restaurant is definitely in my top 5.
Always love this place. Wonderful atmosphere, creative dishes, and have never had service that wasn't above and beyond. One of Raleigh's best brunch spots in town - and definitely the best Bloody Mary.
Food was great! We waited a while for our food and drinks.
We had an excellent brunch. Great atmosphere, service, and the food was amazing. From the appetizers to the main courses, the food was wonderful. Great price on mimosas during brunch. Can’t wait to go again.
