Its approachable modern menu, home-style seating, and waterfront location takes inspiration from the place it's in, the people who live here, and the past it comes from. We offer indoor and outdoor seating, outdoor seating is available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved through Open Table, although every effort will be made to accommodate your seating preferences.

Fresh Halibut and Shrimp Scampi
scallions + cous cous + summer squash + roasted tomato + asparagus + red pepper coulis
house smoked half rack of baby ribs + house bbq + tavern fries
We were pleased to find gluten-free items on the menu. Also as meat-eaters, we tried the black bean burger and Kim's veggie enchilada both of which we enjoyed.
The food was tasty and we were surprised that we did not miss the meat.
We had a lovely table overlooking the St. Joe's river. The food was good and we had a very enjoyable dinner.
Planks is our go-to when we have company in town. Always excellent service and a true luxury resort vibe. It’s generally visitors favorite stop on their trip and we love it too!! Have never had a “miss” on a meal.
the hostess was very helpful we had a large group with three separate reservations and she was able to have all sit near each other. The waitress was excellent
Would not recommend this place. Hostess was harried and did not acknowledge us despite coming to the stand where we we’re patiently waiting many times . Restaurant was busy but not packed plenty of open tables indoors. Manager came up and asked if we had reservations which we did to which he informed us good thing because no more tables. He seated us in the middle of at least four open tables. The half dozen parties behind us which all said they had no reservations were then immediately seated after we sat down
View looked like rock quarry and some heavy machinery.
Food was just ok- a bit pricey. I Had avocado toast lox and bagel. The avocado was a huge pile dropped on the top of the toast and was not fresh - oddly seasoned. Lox portion was skimpy. Hubby had eggs over easy and hash browns both of which were nicely cooked/ hash browns were crispy. Waitress - Hanna was not very attentive, we sat 10-15 minutes before she showed up- took order checked after ordered dropped off never came back to refill coffee and gave check.
I enjoy the patio at Planks, but I don’t understand why when their coffee flights are so popular they are not part of Planks menu. You have to go to the Rise & Vine Coffee shop and order them and wait for them to arrive. In our case, we were well more then half way through our meal when they arrived and we ordered them immediately after ordering or food. Also after the checks were paid our server never came back to ask if we needed anything or to fill our water. It was clear she was done with us and we were overstaying our welcome.
A perfect late summer place for lunch with friends outside. Good food and attentive service. Our server, Monica, kept her good humor and professional demeanor throughout.
Great food great place
Great place with excellent service and tavern nautical atmosphere. Inside a hotel but not crowded and has slight resort feel in St. Joe Michigan. Brunch type food at noon was tasty. Had six in party and waiter was great.
Very good server. Can’t recall his name but very attentive without being pushy. Good food and outside seating.
The host was helpful in getting our party seated well. The service was more rapid than expected on a very busy Sunday afternoon.
I normally don't write reviews however today I will. We come here about every 2 weeks for brunch and the food, service, and overall price are amazing! The only thing I noticed this time was there was food all over the floor. Every direction I looked I saw scraps of what looked like bread or other food.
Food is starting to get bland and not seasoned very well. Service has never been great just ok. I think servers are getting to large of sections as they aren’t attentive.
Great experience overall. Got the pretzel, ribs, and barbacoa tacos...all were delicious!! It was my husband's birthday and they surprised him with a dessert with a sparkler in it!
Girls weekend of wine tasting and planned dinner at Plank’s. We sat outside on patio with nice view of water. Our server Shelby was a gem! She made great recommendations for us and we had a fabulous experience! I got the halibut & shrimp scampi which was awesome. Also shared the fried Brussel sprouts appetizer which was yummy. Cant wait to go back!
Mediocre low-end hotel food at best. No regard for COVID at all.
Awesome staff. Great experience. Great food.
The outside area is lovely. the service was great. I have some food allergies, so the menu was a bit limited for choices, but they were helpful.
For a restaurant, this was an average restaurant. For a hotel restaurant, it was close to very good. Food was fine, but the plating and presentation was nonexistent.
The menu is very limited if you're staying at the hotel for a couple of days (there aren't many other nearby restaurants). Very unusual not to see a shrimp cocktail or a filet steak on the menu. The cheesecake dessert tasted frozen and was way too sweet.
The wine list is decent, but many of the better wines by the bottle are $20-$30 too expensive. They're selling wine at New York or Miami prices. Prisoner for $100 is $30 overpriced.
Open Table availability isn't actually reflective of restaurant's reservation availability. So check with the hotel or call.
I understand the lack of help everywhere, The service was just a little slow. I'm sure it cant be helped right now.
This is by far our new favorite brunch spot. Food is great and the view is fantastic
Girls. Night out
Terrible service. Made reservation with request for outdoor seating. Person in front of us had no reservation and was seated outside. We were told inside seating only and if we wanted to go outside we would need wait by the front door and check back at the hostess stand every 10 min. We waited 20 minute for server to even bring waters. We left without ordering. Will never go back
The food was good but for the price we expected much better quality. Still, we would eat here again.
Food was very good and service staff very nice - challenge was the extremely lengthy time it took for every aspect of meals - sounded like they were short staffed. Still highly recommend - just plan on it taking lots of time…
We were in St. Joe for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and my husband arranged for dinner at Planks. It was absolutely FABULOUS! The view, the service, the bartenders, the food -- TOP NOTCH! Highly recommend!
The ambience/atmosphere of the hotel entry was lovely. Enjoyed the $8 bread that just about anywhere else would give you for free, but they had 3 butters... YAY! Don't go in the evening, they run out of everything (3 entrees, 2 beers and appetizer we wanted)! Wife & i were left with the 2 most expensive menu items and a not so great pricy beer. Food (steak, & halibut w/shrimp) was ok but not worth the price. The view and service was nice though. Save your money, pay the $15 to park (visitors) and eat by the beach.
We go to planks for brunch once or twice a month and always have a pleasant experience with amazing food.
Been here at least a dozen times but this time was the worst experience. Didn’t get a server until after ten minutes and the one that did take care of us wasn’t attentive. Food was just ok this time not flavorful like other experiences. Chorizo gravy super salty and eggs Benedict wasn’t hot just warm. Wasn’t impressed this time which was a disappointment since I debated between other places for brunch. I’ll pick those other places next go around.
Great location and food. There was live music but it a little to loud
Nice outdoor dining area. Service was friendly in a relaxed atmosphere with good food!
Server was TERRIBLE!
Me and my date enjoy our self
Our server Hailey had the perfect tempo on our dining experience with excellent food
Amazing ambience w/waterfront
dining & yachts sailing by. The service & food also TOP-notch. So pleasing, my husband & I chose to dine here two nights in a row! Highly recommend!
Very delicious food and great service. Easy to find off the Highway.
Nice seating along the waterfront
Very long wait to receive meal, but food was good. COVID manpower excuse. Waterfront view is overrated unless you enjoy looking at piles of gravel.
