    I really enjoyed my brunch yesterday. The menu is nicely varied between brunch and lunch. I had eggs with hash browns, which were the best I ever had. Delicate and golden brown. My friend had chicken and waffles. She said the chicken was nice and moist. Our server was nice and very accommodating. All in all a nice way to spend the morning. Will be back.

    My husband and I had reservations that I made a week and a half in advance. We got there and were seated immediately. It wasn't too busy inside, but a wedding party was in the bar area. After waiting for 30min for someone to come take our order, we gave up a left.

    Really enjoyed a wonderful meal from a great menu. Thought the butter candle with the bread was so unique. The view was great and the service was very good. We will be back!

    My husband had the fish and chips. It was amazing. I had the seared tuna and kimchi rice. Tuna was excellent. The rice was okay. Nate did a good job in serving us. The bartender made great manhattans!

    We had our anniversary dinner at planks on the patio overlooking the river. It was a lovely evening. The cherry seasoned pork chop was the best I ever had.. Everyone’s food was delicious and the night was a success. Highly recommended.

    The food was excellent. This is one of the few places where boats can come up to order food. It is very busy and even doing a reservation is no guarantee that you will be seated at your reservation time. This is one of the few places where you can sit on the marina or the canal. Sitting outside is first come first serve and they do not reside by reservations with requests to sit outside. I did appreciate the bartenders being so accommodating with everything and all of the seat changes they had for us. Not really the romantic experience we were hoping for.

    It's been awhile since I've dined at Planks. At first the offerings where subpar mediocre at best. I don't know what happened between then and now but the experience was awesome!! I ordered the porkchop, perfect char, outstanding and prepared to MW. Juicy tender excellent. Our guests ordered the Tuna. Two wedge cuts topped on cimchi. Cooked perfectly. The fish and chips awesome. I won't hesitate to visit planks in the future. Great Job Chef we will return.

    Waiter was awesome. Food great. Sat outside. Forgot to get my smores. But next time! Stayed in the hotel gir a great view and entertainment in the tent. Also checkout the spa and got a great massage!!

    Everything was great. The outside eating was nice and peaceful. The bread with the edible candle was yummy and the ribs were tender and fall off the bone. The steak was good and the sauce on the potatoes was delicious. The drinks weren’t that great but overall, worth the dining experience.

    Overall the experience was ok. Outside seating was excellent. Food was sketchy. Some of us loved what we got. Not so much everybody. My pork chop was fine but the sides left a lot to be desired. Corn pudding was awful overcooked and I got 3 broccoli stems. Mostly stems. Would not order again.

    The food is always good but not great. The atmosphere and service are always excellent, even if it is a bit on the noisy side. Quality control on food is poor. You do not always get what is advertised. Overall if you are staying at the Inn it is a convenient meal.

    We have been eating out for over 50 years and never experienced a waiter like Matthew. We ordered a drink that took awhile. The next time we saw him we ordered a second drink and told him when he brought it we we said we would order dinner. He never returned. When we finally found someone and they brought him over apparently he had decided we were there too long so he wasn’t going to bring the drink nor let us order dinner. He of course never told us this. The whole affair was very weird, wrecked our dinner and is the reason for this lengthy response.

    Service was horrible. Waited nearly 60 minutes for any food, after arriving on time for reservation. Then, all courses were delivered at the same time. Food was mediocre, at best, for the price.

    To begin, our server never introduced himself. We waiting over an hour for our food (3 adults, 1 child) we didn’t receive a refill of our drinks until our check was delivered. We ordered the bread with the melting butter candle, the candle went out right after the server lit it and unfortunately no one came back to light it. We were in town visiting the area for my sons birthday and he was super excited to eat out on the deck. Our experience was horrible (service wise) the food however was good. When I booked our reservation online I put that we were celebrating a birthday. I asked the server if there was anything special they could do for the birthday… we received a piece of cake in a to go box and was changed for it. This was a very unfortunate experience and we will not recommend Planks.

    The room was very cold. The salads were very good. The entrees not so much. Never was served water refills or offered another drink. No condiments offered for the fries (which were supposed to be shoestring potatoes) or the extremely dry fish and chips. Very disappointing

    Overall good, pricing is on par with Chicago now which is disappointing. Stephanie our server was efficiant nice but didn’t stand over our shoulders. Good experience as a local Id go back more frequently had their pricing not gone up so much.

    Had some issues getting the food out properly cooked. Both tuna and steak were not cooked as ordered. Manager was accommodating and comped some of the meal. Service and setting were good.
