Nice place to get together. Active but not too loud. Great food and not overly formal
Worst restaurant experience in my life. Had major potential, but customer service took a hard nose dive from the very beginning.
The food and service was excellent. They followed all of the Covid rules and made the experience enjoable
The shrimp and grits was amazing.
They did a great job with social distancing
Just OK. Service was great but food and drinks were not as we had hoped. Food was not as warm as it should have been and my frozen drink was barely cold. I never complain about a meal but this was an exception.
Waitress was nice but not good
Food is always delicious. Consistentcy is key and Planks is spot on!
Came in for my son's 9th bday. Shawn was our server and was amazing. We sat on the patio, mask use is being enforced, we felt very safe and comfortable. Will def be back! Thanks, Planks, and Shawn for making sure my son's bday dinner was fun and memorable!
The ribs were excellent. The NY strip needed some seasoning. My husband NEVER asks for A1 sauce and he did there. Service was good. Would have liked to sit outside but there wasn’t a table available. Prices were too high for the food.
Sitting outside on the patio was very nice. The food was good and fairly priced. The service was poor.
Great place, great food and the server was awesome.
The atmosphere on the patio was very pleasant. The service was pretty good. We only had drink and dessert there. The chocolate cake was just chocolate cake. Tasted like cosco cake. Other tables’ food looked wonderful though. I would like to come back to try the dinner menu.
Outdoor setting near the water with a live guitarist playing at the pool made for a great evening. The New York Strip was the best I've had in St. Joe. Food was delicious with good service. We'll be back.
The table next to us had at least 8 people which were talking very loud. It was disturbing
We had a 7:45 reservation and didn’t have our food served until after 9:15. We had an order of the wings which were especially chewy. The burger however was great.
A lovely lazy lunch out on the patio with my wife and a few cocktails. 10/10 would repeat
We celebrated my husband’s birthday.
Says water view. It is but not a good one. Food is overpriced. Service was very good.
I would not go back to this restaurant. The "water view" wasn't that great (gravel and construction across the way), could not see the sunset and the expensive New York strip steak was full of fat and had very little flavor. Had to request salt and pepper for a $38 steak! What?! Also, they plated the steak on TOP of the wedge potatoes which made them soggy and unappealing. This was supposed to be the best meal of our vacation and it was actually the worst. The only positive was our waitress, she was great!
No complaints. Food was good. Staff was great. We enjoy eating here after a day of boating.
We made a reservation for our anniversary. We were in town celebrating, and had never been here before. It's not that we had a horrible experience, but it was definitely lackluster. Our waiter was just ok, definitely below the level of service I would expect at this price point for a restaurant. No recognition of our anniversary, besides having mentioned it when I made the reservation. Not that I expected much, but even a "happy anniversary" would have been a nice touch. We started with the Caprese salad, which was the star of the whole meal! That fig jam really complimented the other flavors nicely and brought the taste level to new heights! I had the shrimp tacos and my husband ordered the keto chicken wraps. The tacos were bland. They only had small, flavorless salad shrimp and a pineapple salsa on top. All you could taste was the pineapple - not very appetizing. Larger, grilled shrimp with some type of seasoning, ANY seasoning at all, a little slaw and a nice sauce, like a lime cilantro crema would have made this dish so much better! My husband's lettuce wraps were just ok. The chicken had a curry flavor, which was good in theory, but it needed more sweetness and/or a different spice combination to really bring out the flavor. It definitely missed the mark. They also really scrimped on the toppings. Overall, I feel like we were fooled by the higher prices on the menu, when searching for a good anniversary dinner, as the service and food simply did not measure up.
Beautiful day to sit outside. Great service and delicious food. The Ahi tacos were very tasty! Felt very comfortable dining on the veranda amid all the covid restrictions.
Our server was very careful about my gluten-free dining needs. He was cheerful and attentive behind his mask! Great meal and service.
This was my second time dining at planks and I had reservations for five and specified out door seating during covid but they only had a table inside available for us. We had reservations at 8 and we didn’t get our food until after 9pm. Not sure what the issue was. They didn’t offer bread we had to ask and that was probably brought out after 25 min. Terrible service but food tasted the same as last time
The trout was fantastic. The seared ahi tacos were a big disappointment. Wait staff was very good.
Perfect locations with stellar views
Great food great service great atmosphere
We celebrated birthdays here on the 4th. The whitefish was delicious as were the steaks other diners had. Be sure to try the pretzel and charcuterie. Ask for Tom our waiter who was outstanding! Thanks for a great time!
Lackluster service and poor food for the price being charged. There are better rests at St Joseph
Server was nowhere to be found half the time we still tipped but tipped the random server we found while searching for our server. The food was amazing but we shouldn’t have to search the whole place and still not find server
Great place, did a great job considering the current circumstances.
Even though we had a reservation, they told us they didn't have a table.
Great spot right on the water and excellent food offerings. Hard to find a place like this in the area and we will be headed back soon!
Planks is one of the only restaurants in the area with waterside dining and it is certainly the best! Their charcuterie board is ever changing and always amazing and they have a great beer and wine selection.
The staff of Plank's is handling the stress and re-opening requirements so well....at least from what we experienced. Had a patio seat, great view of the water, beautiful sunny day, delicious food....love it there.
We had a cocktail and appetizer at the outside bar while waiting for our table on the patio. It was a pleasant evening and enjoyed being outside. Our server was fantastic, recommending his fav items on the menu. The food was beautifully plated and delicious. Great experience!
Plank’s was Simply Amazing. We will definitely be back.
Great food, great drinks, and great service
Food was great, lake was a great view and server was fantastic.
The ribs tasted like they were microwaved to be reheated. The citrus sangria had no flavor.
