Was a little disappointed in this location given the selection at the Orlando location as well as the quality of the food and service
Planet Hollywood had much to recommend it: the food, the memorabilia, the music, and top-notch service from a wonderful waiter named Freddy.
Good, friendly service, not much selection. A little high priced, $10 a basic beer, $20 for a standard, but juicy, burger.
Chicken seemed like it was old and the wings were way over cooked. Not a good meal.
Quality food, quick service and great setting for a family that wants everyone to enjoy their meal
Server made the experience a 100% enjoyable evening. Not out first visit and won’t be our last. Our grandchildren were super-stoked. Thank you
Food ok, service good, but far too loud, place felt grubby and in need of an update
Fun venue and great location.
It took 20 min, and me getting the host to assist, before a waiter came to our table. We hadn’t gotten our food as of 8pm with a 7pm reservation. I felt they weren’t concerned by our disappointment because we were tourists and wouldn’t be back. But we are NYers and now we won’t definitely won’t be back
I cannot recommend Planet Hollywood. Our experience was disappointing. My burger and baked potato arrived lukewarm, the bun was practically stale and my companion's baked potato was cold. My other companion ordered a chicken Caesar salad, which hardly had any chicken in it at all, and the salad was drowning in dressing. For the prices they charge, the food wasn't even up to mediocre standards. We will never go back.
Extremely crowded. Typical American restaurant. Service takes a bit long because too many diners. Ambiance is fun. Line for bathrooms are extremely too long.
Staff were courteous and professional. Occassion was a graduation celebration.
Great food. Service was a little slow but kind of expected for how busy they were.
We have no choice about the tip ! It's 18, 20 or 25%. But the service is not good => very difficult to leave a tip !!!
Awesome great food and great service
Almost no memorabilia. Very disappointing.
Our go to place with family and grandchildren. Never disappoints.
It was amazing we were 7 all together and we all had a great time our server was amazing as well... place is good for family and gathering in he city
Our waiter was fantastic, we were seated and served quickly and the food was hot and fresh!!! Can’t complain overall good meal!!!
Fun setting, food tasty but slightly overpriced, but no more than you would expect given the location. Good for a quick meal.
The restaurant has changed their menu since mid-2017, with a lot less options. Their drink menu has also changed. Previously, there were many "fun" drinks on the menu. Now, it is normal drinks found at any other place. While the food was very good and the service was terrific, I found both the food and drink menu to be less than appealing.
Dinner with the kids in NYC. Fun, loud, and kid friendly all ages. Our server was extra patient & attentive!!!
Darius was a fabulous server. The booth next to us had a broken seat. Four sets of guests attempted to sit there by the staff and each one fell off the bench. This was absolutely unacceptable. My niece fell pretty badly off the bench and nobody came over to see how she was.
Visiting NYC with wife and son. Food was pretty good, service was a bit slow for a Monday night. Servers were nice, one was a trainee. Too loud to have a conversation.
Horrible food and service couldn’t have been worse, beginning we were the only ones in the restaurant.
No wonder why it was almost empty.
Planet Hollywood Times Square would make an amazing dance club...... great music, dance club vibe, fun drinks, and impossible to have a conversation with the person next to you.
This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had as a family in the theater districts. I wasn’t expecting 5 star service or food but I was hoping for at least 2-3 stars. Our table wasn’t ready at our reservation time, our waiter was invisible, the food was cold, stale, and awful, and the music is so loud you cannot even hear the person next to you. Horrible horrible horrible.
Brought kids here for a fun night out in the City last minute- waiter was great, and was awesome with the kids (6 & 9). Food was okay, menu was slim.
A tired interior in need of updating with adequate food but friendly staff
We went for the kids birthday. They had a fun time and loved the birthday dessert.
Tables were really small for a family of four and the decor was a bit dated for this type of place.
We have been to many Planet Hollywoods and this by far was the NOISIEST & most crowded of them all. Our server was kind but WAY too overtasked with several tables coming in at the exact same time. We had a reservation for 530 but did not get seated until closer to six, which of course is frustrating. They also hosted a couple school groups which made the line to the restroom extremely long. The music was extremely loud and there were many teenage kids running and shouting everywhere. As a mom of a couple teenagers, I’m not normally bothered by this but combined with everything else it just made for a bad experience. I would say the only bright spot was that I had a delicious kale citrus salad and it was fresh and well composed. Overall, it was a disappointment. I expect better in New York City and certainly for the price we should’ve had a more enjoyable experience. We will not be back.
Really enjoyed our first visit to planet Hollywood on our first night in NYC (so much so that we returned again later in our stay. Food was good value. Visit 1, we had steak, cheese burger, and club sandwich! All well cooked and tasty. Waiters very helpful and friendly. Soft drinks unlimited refills. Amazing deserts and milkshakes being delivered to other tables but unfortunately, we were too full from our main courses! Would recommend and would go back. Only minor (very fussy) complaint would be the music is quite high but other than that: AMAZING :-)
We took our grand-daughter who is 7. My wife and I had burgers. She took two bites and left hers. I ate mine and felt ill afterwards. They were worse than plane food. Overpriced junk. And the memorabilia was also pretty disappointing. Would never go again.
Fun, it was just very busy, but to be expected! We had a reservation and got there early and they accommodated us and I truly appreciated it! The hostess and server were very very pleasant and worked hard!
We had reservations and still waited too long to get our table. Even though half restaurant was empty there were A LOT people waiting to be sited. The hosts were not nice and didn’t know their job. The music was too loud, we could not hear each other.
Easter. We decided to go something different for Easter and we were glad we did. A great place for everyone
Good service, limited menu, poor cooking, very very loud, ridiculously loud, couldnt talk or hear for background music, restaurant:
tired decor, not particularly clean, super busy, very disappointing like eating 2nd rate food in a cheap circus side show
This place is horrible everything is just bad the food and service. Save your taste buds please.
