PL8 Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Creative use of shipping cargo container!! Ambience is very warm and friendly. Lighting is low but not dark.
Our menus were rather old and tattered (well loved?) but they were clean so who cares?!! We only ate sushi. Patrick our server/bartender was EXCELLENT in offering rolls and describing them to a T.
Our rolls were presented beautifully and they tasted even better!
We will go back!!
It is a good rule of thumb to help the customers in front of you before a phone call. Not too many people at the restaurant and our table was set... Minus the tablecloth when everone else outside had one. Before the host sat us she took a phone call and someones order. We waited... Not a long time but enough time that everyone in my party noticed. Moral to the story... Help the customer in front of you first.
Went to celebrate our anniversary. I even called to let them know it was a special occasion. Slightly disappointed that there was not even a Happy Anniversary for anyone there. Food was great as usual. We splurged for desert and it was good but too expensive for what we got.
The server was very friendly. The paper menu was pretty beat up, they should definitely look at printing new ones.
The tuna wonton appetizer was good, but they put the wontons on top of a sauce that made the wontons soggy. The Chicken curry was okay, but there was more tofu in it than chicken and the tofu didn't have a good flavor. The brownie sundae was amazing!
Usually very good food; this time the tempura shrimp were not hot, were limp as though a couple days past their useful prime. I felt I was getting shrimp that should not have been served.
The Mongolian beef, as usual, was terrific. Everything else, service, drinks were up to snuff.
We gave two stars overall because there were no changing tables, even though there was space, for our 8 month old which meant we had to go out to our car to change her. The food was decent and wait staff was very nice yet not very attentive. The outdoor patio was unkept. If I did not know better, I would have assumed they would close the business at any moment.
Great sushi, tried the Green Dragon and Godzilla rolls. Green dragon was my favorite. Sake was good too. Little pricey, but the food and sake were worth it. Our server, Anna, was very attentive and nice. Took my wife there to celebrate, we plan to come back.
We have eaten at Pl8 multiple times. This was our worse meal experience and not typical for this restaurant. Primarily the coconut curry dish tasted like it was lacking both of those ingredients and the broccoli as my side dish was way over cooked making the consistency somewhat like baby food. We told our hostess who apologized by offered nothing in return which was disappointing. We did not ask to speak with a manager because we don't like making a scene in restaurants.
