PJ’s Bar and Grill, named for golfing great Peter Jacobson, is one of Tahoe Mountain Club’s culinary gems. It has an inviting open air indoor bar and dining room that opens up to the outdoor patio with exceptional views of the 18th Hole of Gray’s Crossing and majestic Mt. Rose. The outdoor event lawn and patio with a fire pit are great for relaxing after your round of golf or for a family friendly dining. The restaurant also serves as the “Turn” bar where golfers can order their food by cell phone from the 9th Tee and have it ready to go on the way the 10th Tee. PJ’s Bar and Grill is a full service restaurant that is open to Tahoe Mountain Club members, Gray’s Crossing golfers, and to the public at large. Under the direction of Executive Chef Willy Carroll, the restaurant serves upscale contemporary Californian fare for breakfast, lunch and sunset dining. It also features a full bar with specialty cocktails and comprehensive wine list.

PJ's is an awesome spot away from the tourist crowds of downtown Truckee. View of the mountains and the 18th fairway of Grays Crossing golf course. A large lawn area is great for kids to run around. We've been here 4 times and it never disappoints. Everything is yummy and the fish tacos and hot pastrami are especially amazing.

Very good eclectic menu. Drove past the first time as there was no signage. Really just a golf 19th hole but this was one time it was good to be above par.

We had a lovely lunch with beautiful scenery. I had batter cod tacos and my friend had a turkey melt. Both were served by a very gracious young lady and was delicious. We drove up from Grass Valley and first time at PJ,s and was not disappointed. We will be back.

PJ's is consistently great when it opens for the season until about July 4th. This is golf club not a wedding my venue yet the weddings dominate. If you go to PJ's after a Weddings expect leftover food . We had lunch on a Sunday. French dip was dry and ok. The taco salad was wilted avocado Brown. Lots of staff turnover. This is a small restaurant with a small kitchen it can't produce banquet food and service diners.

Great food. Loved the peach salad with salmon. Steak also tasted great, but small portion. Service was a little slow. Beautiful views. Nice to sit outside.

The host was absolutely awful to us, she was rude and nasty and extremely unpleasant - argumentative and accused us of not making the reservations correctly - when right there on her computer screen you could see our reservations. Afterwards, our server, Kate, was rude and short with us and treated us horribly. We have been long time customers at PJ's but these last two experiences have left such bad tastes in our mouth we're not sure we will be back. We hope the managers/owners at PJ's will take this review to heart and take a closer look at the type of customer service their current staff is providing.

Love eating at PJ's, but the hostess made us feel unwelcome. She acted like we were inconveniencing her. She was very frustrated. When I go to a restaurant, I don't want to feel like I'm not welcomed. I want to get a warm response like, Yes, we will do everything to help you get situated and not PutOut! We asked to put some tables together & she said No they were too busy. There was very little business there & many empty tables. We were family from a wedding from many different states. I own my own restaurant & would definitely fire this hostess. You would think PJ's would want as much business as possible especially being Seasonal. I have to say the food is Great, otherwise we would go elsewhere. I really can't tolerate grouchy people!
