About PJ Ryan's Pub
PJ Ryan’s opened its doors in early July, 2008 and has greeted guests with the same genuine family atmosphere that their other locations are known for (West Chester — Philly). Friendly, attentive staff members are the norm at any of the Ryan’s establishments and so is great food. Just like the pub in West Chester, the menu at PJ Ryans is full of delicious choices including their famous buffalo wings, enormous sandwiches, healthy salads and of course real meat and potato dishes like pan seared crab cakes and mouth watering Prime Rib. Guests enjoy their food in one of three lively main rooms that make up PJ Ryan’s. The entire restaurant is smoke free with beautiful hardwood floors, tin ceilings and walls adorned with family mementoes and images of Phoenixville’s past. There are two large bars with stately leather booths, hightop tables and family style bench seating. No matter where you sit you are sure to have a view of at least one of the 9 flat screen TV’s.

PJ Ryan's Pub Ratings and Reviews
A great Irish pub along the main drag. Not too dark. A smaller beer menu, but not limited by any stretch. Some interesting takes on appetizers (corned beef spring rolls, cooked bruschetta) and solid entrees, mainly Irish pub staples. Only major issue is the parking situation in that area, and that's not even a restaurant problem. All-around excellent service and I would recommend.
Had a great meal, with fantastic service. The location of our table was not the best. We were sat far from the rest of the guests, but the area filled in as the night went on. We enjoy having dinner at PJ Ryan's before hitting up the rest of Phoenixville, and we are looking forward to our next visit soon.
Tough lunch. Probably will not be back. Dirty plate for apps, fish fry soggy and not to temp, then overcharged on bill. Server was nice and it looked like a really fun night spot, but as they say...three strikes and your out. Wanted this to be a great lunch but it was really disappointing.
First time visit, but upon walking in found it to be filled with smokers around the bar. So unusual today. The side room was a little better, until one of the wait staff went out the side door to catch a smoke and let in a stream of the smoke. The mussels in red sauce were good, but the beef tips were tough and stringy. I would probably not return as there are plenty of places in Phoenixville that have better food and no smoke.
It was fathers day and the restaurant was not ready for the crowds. Service was very lacking, the brunch buffet ran out of food on several occasion and we had lengthy waits till the kitchen was able to resupply it. Also, the waitresses were overwhelmed and did not bring coffee and drinks ordered on a timely basis and forgot requests on several occasions. It was an unfortunate experience for a place that otherwise is pretty good for brunch and where normally the service is good and the food plenty.
We wanted to eat before the early show at the Colonial theatre, and P.J. Ryan's is next door. We hadn't been there before and were pleasantly surprised. The food was good, the service efficient, plus it's a nice space decorated with historical photos of Phoenixville. At that hour they weren't very busy yet and it was quiet. My companion had a burger and I had the chicken quesadilla, both very good. We will be back for other pre-movie dinners!
PJ Ryan's was great! Drinks, food, bartenders, servers, host staff all very good. All in our party was pleased, happy and well fed. Too bad it's in the Borough of Phoenixville which isn't as accommodating or cordial. Don't want to spoil this review of PJ Ryan's though cause it's a hit and you should try it!
My wife and I traveled 45 min to find a new place to eat. PJ's was worth the trip. Service was great, food was very good for the price and the atmosphere lived up to expectations. We will be back again soon. (Also, download the Phoenixville parking app for fast in and out of the resturant.)
Our server and everyone else were great. They could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Very comfortable place. Food was typical Irish pub fare, with a few additions to the menu. Draft beer list, despite the number of offerings, was very limited to my taste. Very affordable for beer drinkers.
I picked PJ Ryan's Pub for a Mother Day's outing with my wife, kids, and grandparents. The location was easy enough to find and we were seated quickly. My issue was that the service was terrible. Though the young lady was nice enough, she was beyond slow and had to be told to bring silverware, drinks, menus, etc. We didn't immediately even as for anything figuring that she would bring items out once we were seated. I had to borrow menus from another table because she never brough them out to us. It really spoiled what i thought would be a good night out.
We went at an off hour time; had our choice of where to sit. Service was prompt, very friendly and accomodating. Food and service has always been great during busy hours. It's nice to know that the service and food quality stay the same even when the restaurant is quiet. To us, that is a quality of a well run establishment. Thanks!!
I was so pleasantly shocked to find zucchini ribbon pasta on the menu! I cannot eat wheat, so having a bowl full of super low calorie veggies that felt and tasted like pasta was such a treat. I'm coming back soon! They even allowed me to switch it from a scampi to a marinara sauce. Thanks!
This place is pretty nice. I took my wife and newborn for an easy date night and that was fine for us. The burgers seemed like they were frozen and then cooked, but were pretty good still. The hostess was great, seating us in a place by the bar where we could put the infant car seat. But I think this place would be awesome as a bar scene, and hopefully when the baby is old enough for a baby sitter, my wife and I can return and enjoy the place a little more. Still really good though.
Nachos were tasteless. They just threw chips cheese and browned groung beef on a plate and put in oven. What unflavored ground beef they didn't put in nachos they threw in the shepards pie with mashed potatoes over them, never had gravey on the side with shepards pie, all in all a total disappointment
