About
They wanted to create an up-scale pub that embraced its neighborhood roots. John and Eamonn had a vision of intimate booths and secluded tables with the smell of mahogany permeating through the room. They discovered a bar and restaurant that was as comfortable as your own living room. The space was in the perfect location where tourists, locals, and the business elite could sit side-by-side to enjoy a pint together. Located close to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, right down the block from Rockefeller Center and the bustling shops of 5th Avenue, they knew they had found their future home. There, in the space formerly known as "The Gathering Steakhouse," PJ Moran's was born.
Excellent! That's all I have to say. Excellent. Excellent. Excellent.
Thank you very much
Menu doesn't have same foods posted on your Instagram page. VERY MISLEADING! Won't be back!
Im so sorry to hear you wont be back . Our instagram page shows all options available on the menu and the daily specials for that day. Im sorry if you feel mislead but i can assure you every options available is delicious. I am also quite certain if you had of asked your server for a certain item you seen on instagram that our chefs would have made it for you as they are very hospitable and we always aim to please our customers.
Great food, lots of choices & friendly staff. Recommend
I had a delicious burger and my husband had the Cobb salad, which he said was great. Very charming interior.
Food and service were good. Atmosphere is friendly.
Simple food but quality great and reasonable prices! Service perfect - and fast. So lucky to have in my hood!
A bit on the pricey side for a burger
It was very meh .... wouldn’t go back
Typical type Irish pup. Limited basic decent food with packed bar. Good burger and fries.
Good Irish spot. Food was very good. Decent beer selection. Staff was friendly, but waitress didn’t know ABVs of craft beers and didn’t offer to check when I asked.
Perfect for casual dinner. No fuss.
Great place to catch up with friends over good food and a drink.
First of all, they didn't even realize I had a reservation with them, which truly disappointed me. I had made that reservation in advance. Second, the presentation of the buffalo chicken spring rolls was flat out untasteful. The entrees we got were OK, but on St. Paddy's Day to be out of any form of Jameson is ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend going here.
Day after the St Patrick’s parade...tried to order breakfast, they were out. Shepherd’s pie - no, out. Stew was delicious, but portion was quite small; bangers were tiny and tasteless, serving of mash was generous and creamy; fish and chips were ample and tasty. So many choices in NY - we will try elsewhere next visit.
Excellent spot for beverages and decent food. Limited it decent wine by the glass choice. Sat in back away from a vibrant after work crowd. Not an over the top Irish place.
We enjoyed excellent Spring rolls as an appetizer. Glad we split the serving. My wife had the salmon entree while I enjoyed the Strip steak. Both dishes prepared to our liking
The pace of service was right on target. Would definitely revisit. A nice jewel right around the corner from St Patrick’s Cathedral and Rock Center.
An added bonus was that the toilets were on the main level.
Great service and food. The drinks were great too. Very accommodating to me and my family, including my disabled Mom with her walker. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Great food-good prices-nice atmosphere- would definitely go back again
First of all, they had no record of my reservation and hand told my guest, who arrived a few minutes before me, that there was no reservation, and that they were very busy and to wait. The service was horrendous, salad and appetizers were delivered before our cocktails which we ordered before we ordered the meal. Then we had to ask repeatedly for water and bread and butter didn't come until we were half way through our main courses.
The waitress was quite amateur and the staff at the greeting station had no sense of welcome or hospitality.
Won't go back.
As far as midtown pubs go, this one isn't my favorite - sorry!!
Dee is the BEST. She's why I return again and again.
My friends and I wanted good pub food and drinks, the food was ok, but really how hard is it to cook a fresh burger? Frozen and over cook. Medium was well, not my favorite. Beer on tap was not ice cold, my friend had Shepard’s pie, the other had corned beef. The fries were good overall not my favorite.
We were going to a show at Radio City and wanted to go somewhere casual for dinner PJ filled the bill nicely. It’s an Irish pub that has a nice selection of entrees to choose from, and the food was delivered quickly and prepared very well. We will definitely consider going back next time we are in this part of town.
Great for comfort food- burgers and fries. Casual neighborhood eating.
Nice mid-town lunch menu. Fast and professional service. Full bar.
Irish pub with typical food.
This place was a gem for us. We had a 4:00 reservation but were there at least 40 minutes early. They were able to accommodate us and even changed tables for us after being seated (our request). The waitress (I think her name was Kate) was adorable and very very sweet. The food was authentic Pub Food. Delicious burgers. Awesome Chicken Pot Pie. The drinks were also delicious and we did have a variety! I would absolutely recommend for casual dining. But if you are looking for a quiet little place for intimate conversation look elsewhere. This is a fun place!
Very friendly and accommodating to our party of 10 during the busy holiday season!
Waiter forgot one of the plates and beers. Manager did nothing to correct this after we complaint.
My reservation got screwed up, ended up hanging out in bar area. It was super packed!!
Fun place, kid friendly, good pub food, wide variety of beer, very convenient to Broadway Theaters.
Must say, we chose PJ's at the last minute and were all pleasantly surprised at what a great choice. The waitress was exceptionally attentive, food hot and fresh. The manager checked came by and checked on our meal and service. Very impressed.
Decent option near the Rockefeller Center area if you're going to see the tree. Definitely recommend getting a reservation because the area is filled with tourists and it's hard to find a place to eat without a reservation. Food was decent but definitely overpriced, but that's to be expected in the area. I got the fish and chips which was rather pricey at $19 for the portion given, but my sister had the chicken avocado wrap which she raved about.
We were seeking a very last minute place to enjoy a late lunch for my daughter's friends & to get out of the cold while celebrating her 18th birthday for the day near Rockefeller Center. This place took us right away...like within 10 minutes of booking online and walking briskly to their location. The food was excellent and although it is a pub we sat near the back of the restaurant which was decorated in a festive manner and very comfortable. Highly recommend the turkey club sandwich and the French fries!!! Real turkey vs. lunch meat turkey. The mashed potatoes and salads we're also delicious. We would definitely go back on and trip.
we made the reservation through open table...we were a large party of 16. We arrived 15 minutes early to find they gave our table away because they had called a couple of hours earlier and we didn't answer the phone/call back. So, they assumed we weren't coming. I understand if we didn't arrive at the reservation time and they gave the table away, but to not even give us a fair chance was wrong. After waiting a half hour they divided us between 2 tables. The only reason we stayed was because we have 8 hungry children with us.
EXCELLENT FOOD, GOOD SERVICE AND GREAT VALUE,,,EVEN DURING XMAS TIME, THEY WERE ABLE TO HANDLE THE LARGE CROWD - HAD A GREAT TIME
They held our table as we were running late and vet friendly when I called them. We all loved the service and food. Will go back many times.
Great experience when in the Rockefeller Center area.
This was a lunch with my sister who I only see twice a year and had a lot to catch up on. We were seated at a 2top, elbow to elbow, but were pleasantly surprised that we were able to talk fairly privately. Food was great, service wonderful and we never felt rushed. For casual dining it was great. Thank you.
I would not recommend this spot to dine. The service was atrocious, the seating is more than cramped, and the overall ambiance is not worth the price you pay to dine here . I was there to celebrate my anniversary and this establishment and the horrible experience pretty much ruined the entire day!!!!
Cozy, friendly and dependable. Good food in a nice atmosphere.
