What Insiders Are Saying
PizzArte is not just another pizza joint. It also happens to be an art gallery. That must have sounded awesome in the business plan.
PizzArte never disappoints. Fresh, exceptional, truly Italian (Neapolitan) cuisine and spirit. Attentive and professional service. Whenever I foolishly go to another locale in the area I always compare with PizzArte and I keep coming back.
Fabolous as always
First time visit - Excellent Neapolitan-style pizza with traditional Italian antipasti, contorni, primi and secondi options. Our pizzas had chewy, sourdough crusts with much bite and character, excellent mozzarella with a few toppings done just right. Choices of white or red sauce on some pies. A simple salad of arugula, parmesan, croutons and dressing was bright and fresh. Wait staff are Italian, knowledgeable, somewhat suggestive in terms of upselling on food and wine. It was VERY loud on a Friday might, partially due to large convivial crowd but also due to high volume, lousy music. Music program could best be described as soft covers of top 40 hits from last 30 years, played at max volume.
Good food slightly brusque service and very noisy. Close to city center
Very consistent and attentive service - I always enjoy and love bringing people for meals because it never disappoints. Nothing too fancy, low key place, and cozy although there is an upstairs area with more seating. I would still make a reservation whenever possible.
my husband is gluten free and this was the best pizza we have had. We had a spinach, goat cheese and beet salad to start that was delicious. We are from out of town and I searched the internet for pizza and was set to go elsewhere until I read a professional review on this restaurant.
We sat at the bar, made friends with the lady bartender who had a very dry personality but, very cool. Lovely Italian staff & the food was outstanding.
Pizza and pasta dishes are amazing!! The fried calamari and shrimp super tasty and tender !! We will definitely be back !!
Rush, rush, rush. Couldn’t enjoy the evening because we felt rushed by the staff. Good isn’t the greatest either.
Great gluten free pizza
We enjoyed a wonderful pizza. Service was great and food was very good.
Pizz'Arte has options for all tastes and dietary needs. They offer excellent gluten free pizza, terrific salads, and a variety of entrees, although I wouldn't order an entree because there are so many smaller dishes that are terrific and excellent for sharing.
Amazing food all around. Top notch. Great minestrone soup. Branzino special out of this world. Gluten free chocolate cake was to die for
Food was quite good. Server was not attentive. Had to seek him out to pay bill. If he’d asked...I’d have ordered wine.
Very intimate place with clean contemporary decore. The cocktails were well crafted and generious and the pasta was excellent.
All of the food we ordered was fantastic. I had the gluten free pizza that was absolutely hands down the best pizza I've ever had. We will absolutely go back when we go back to visit NY.
This was my second visit to PizzArte. The food is delicious and our friends declared the gluten free pizza the best they have had. My husband loved the calzone so much that we went back again!
Pizza was watered down and cheese just fell off. For a pizza place the pizza was very mediocre.
FOOD is a solid 10 out of 10. Everything included the finest ingredients & was extremely flavorful & healthfully prepared.
Excellent service, ingredients and good ambience. Everything was prepared and served to perfection. The seating though is a bit tight on the upstairs tables parallel to the wall.
The best gluten free pizza in the NJ/NY area! They have other delicious items on their menu including desserts. Great service as well.
You might walk right by PizzArte and not consider it. Even if you looked in, the downstairs bar area is nice but not alluring for dinner. Upstairs is another story. Tastefully modern with clean lines and comfortable seating. The food is delicious, inventive, and generously portioned. This is more than just pizza. I had a whole wheat pasta with chestnuts, mushrooms and sausage in a brown sauce that was just fabulous. There's a wonderful choice of wines by the glass. Prices for 55th st off Fifth are fantastic. The service is wonderful. We love it and will come here often as it is near Carnegie Hall, City Center and Manhattan theater club as well as 5th Ave. shopping.
Picked as restaurant was easy walk to theater. Was surprised in quality of menu choices. Flavors were very good and meal was prepared very well. Would recommend this restaurant to all who are looking for good food at reasonable pricing.
Had excellent pizza, with several options with gluten free crust and I had one with 100% buffalo cheese! Excellent service and stylish place.
Food was okay. Service was a bit slow given that we were there at the beginning of lunch.
Very good food, attentive service, overall very positive experience
Overall our experience was excellent! The two teenagers in our party were very happy with their pizza and the adults enjoyed delicious steak entrees and a bottle of wine. Cannolis for dessert were amazing! Service was superb!
Enjoyed the best gluten free arugula pizza...fantastic crust, great topping!
Can not split toppings onto one half of a pizza. Not flexible
Never disappoints....service always top notch and fresh ingredients in delicious dishes.
I recently went here for dinner after a MoMa visit with my son. We were seated upstairs. The diningroom is a bit narrow, and you are rather close to other diners. This is typical in the city and though I would prefer not to be so close to other diners, we were not uncomfortable. The food was very good. I had a salad with beets, mangos and pistachios, which was awesome. My son had the lentil soup, which was sooo good - perfectly seasoned. We both had pasta with meatballs, which I have to say, was on par with the best this Italian momma has ever had! Service was excellent... very upbeat, friendly staff. Will definitely go again when in the area.
One of the best Pasta and pizza dishes I have ever had ...
And I was in Naples and Rome Few times in the last years
Great Italian food! Highly recommend. The service was fantastic and everyone there was super friendly.
I will definitely come back!
Nice food. Looking forward to go back. Loved the piza
good pizza, over priced as usual but quality of the pizza is good and actually an Italian style pizza
Kingdom of pizza&pasta in the middle of Manhattan. If you at MOMA, that's the best place for lunch or even dinner. Try gluten free pizza, it's fascinating: never tried better before!
Been on the hunt for a decent gluten free pizza, this one was pretty good. But the $18 octopus appetizer that was maybe 3 ounces of octopus was tasty but really overpriced.
When in New York I always have at least one dinner at Pizzarte. The gluten free pizza is awesome and now they have an amazing gluten free beer, and dessert!
None of my friends ordered anything gluten free and they all loved everything. It’s a sure bet for excellent food every time!
Very good and lots of gluten free pizza options! Fast service and friendly waitstaff
