Elizabeth's is our go to for upscale pizza and chic atmosphere
Great food slow service
The food was great and the open Kitchen was fun to watch. Our server was less than great - but still polite. She seemed bored.
I have always loved making my own pizza knowing it will be everything I like. It was delicious as usual.
Good food, but we won't be back. We are a singles group, so everyone needs a separate check. I requested this when I made the reservation, but no luck.
We had reservations and arrived 10 minutes beforehand. We were told our table would be ready in 15-20 minutes. We were seated 30 minutes AFTER our reservation time. Though the service was fine after we were actually seated and the food was good we will likely not return.
We made a reservation for 6; however, had not specified that we did not want a high top, which is what was reserved for us With 2 children under the age of 8, we opted to wait for two tables that could be pushed together. The children were getting a bit rammy and we immediately ordered bread sticks and chicken fingers, which arrived promptly. Thereafter, however, the service began to slip as water was not refilled, no parmesan was offered for our pizzas and the ice cream sundaes were melting by the time they arrived at our table. Overall, our out of town guests still enjoyed the experience and the food was delicious; however, with children the idea is to eat as promptly as possible and service was not, although our server was friendly. I also feel that given the price of the hot fudge sundaes, the restaurant should invest in some sundae glasses rather than serve the concoction in a bowl. The presentation was off.
It was great! Superb pizza of many flavors. We’ll be back!!
I've been to Elizabeth's a couple of times. The first time it was great, the second not so good (we didn't really think the food tasted well. The most recent time was nice. I took my middle school daughter and her friends for salad and pizza. The caesar salad was marginal, but the greek salad I would order again in heartbeat. We then followed with a regular cheese pizza, (kinda hard to go wrong with that) and the Arden pizza which was very good. We really enjoyed the thin crust pizza, so if you prefer Sicilian crust, you might not like it as much as we did. Our server was attentive, but we were rushed through our meal. We felt like we needed to leave so he could turn over our table.
Have been several times and will continue to return.
I would not recommend this restaurant. The food was very overpriced. It was tasty, however. It was very noisy, probably due to the teen birthday party at the next group of tables. The pizza was fair ,but way overprices. The cocktails were higher than they should have been. Just not a pleasant experience overall.
The food is excellent. The acoustics are horrific. This survey calls it "Energetic," but I call it annoying when you can't hear the person next to you.
Service and Food were EXCELLENT!!!! My wife enjoyed her birthday at PBE.
been here before, but i forgot how good the food was. i had the spinach salad w/ add-ons, like the roast chicken. excellent! my friends also had salads, and one of them has many food allergies. the chefs were able to accommodate all her food needs and wants. comfortable surroundings, great server, relaxing lunch.
i'd rec it to all, and i would definitely return.
My date was converting to a vegan diet and the menu choices worked out. Salad and pizza, both vegan compliant, were very good. Service good. Due to the architecture of the building, ambient noise sometimes overtook conversation. Prices are a little high but this place isn't "Big Tony's " pizza joint.
Best pizza I ever had.
Today instead of the tiny meat balls we had shrimp on top..it was a totally different taste...really good.
Honey bread sticks w/3 different dips..& a drink made for a perfect lunch.
Worth the drive from Philly it is that good.
Great food and atmosphere. My wife and I love the place.
Live band was playing. They were loud but played classy music so it wasnt bothersome.
Awesome salad and pizza!
Staff very helpful
We won't return to PBE's. We waited at the hostess station for at least 5 minutes before a hostess showed up. We sat down and waited for our waitress. We were celebrating our daughters 18th b-day that I noted on my reservation and there was no mention of it. Melissa really needs to step up on her waitressing - we waited for our food while everyone around us got their appetizers/dinners. We waited on 1 glass of wine for 10 minutes, and she forgot to bring our breadsticks that we had asked for 2xs. We were disappointed and will not be going back!
I brought a friend who had never been to PBE's. She thoroughly enjoyed lunch and suggested we bring a group the next time. As always, Pizza By Elizabeth's was a great outing!
Our server Jason was very friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding and the setting was very enjoyable.
Seating for six on a Thursday evening was near the large fireplace (used for cooking). Very busy on our Thursday evening - perhaps a sign of a good economy. All was well until the large duct overhead AC came on, pouring a continuous flow of cool air at our table. Most everyone at the table put on their exterior jackets, the volume of down flowing cold air that uncomfortable for 10-15 minutes.
Eventually, the AC went off, temperatures moderated, and all was good. During it all, our male waitperson was very attentive, the auto on\off HVAC problem clearly beyond his control.
We'll return to Pizza by Elizabeths, the lesson learned to avoid seating anywhere near the well banked cook fireplace and overly responsive HVAC system operating in that part of the facility.
Was fairly crowded when we arrived at 6:40 on a Saturday evening. Pizza was good and prepared well, but my Queen was a little bland (I've had it before, and the duxelles was more flavorful). Barrett Browning was good, as was the Hasselbeck (although the toppings weren't spread across the surface - just in the very center). Last entree was a New York strip with baked potato and asparagus - no complaints, asparagus was perfect Ice cream and Cookie Bomb were good, Peanut Butter Chocolate cake seemed a little stale. Service was very pleasant but on the slow side.
Good food, Tom is an excellent server, efficient and not intrusive. Thank you
Food was delicious as always. And quick(it was lunch, so this is appreciated).
We had a girls' night out here for five of us. I always love the ambiance. Food never fails to disappoint. Salads are fresh with nice entree salad options. Pizza variety has something for everyone in terms of ingredients and size. I had the mini Hassleback with wheat crust, which was delish! Wait staff is attentive, but gives you time and space to relax and enjoy conversation. Looking forward to going back in warm weather to dine at one of their breezeway tables,Thumbs up all around for Pizza by Elizabeths!
Fun and cozy valentines date! Get to make a pizza anyway you want! Service was quick and food was delivered very quick! Nice Fun Night! Crab Pretzel rules!
Make your own pizza is so great! Great topping selection and good prices.
Love this place.
always get a pizza w/meatballs & cheese onion & garlic..it is terrific!
Bread sticks w/3 delicious toppings...at lunch time practically
every seat is filled.
Wish it was closer to center city but worth the ride.
The place was extremely noisy!!!! You could not carry on a conversation at your table!!!!
Shared some very good pizza! Service was attentive and the hosts were great in granting seating request. Very friendly! Nice pomegranate mojito---delicious.
Nice looking place, bright and sunny. Good food, but overpriced for the quality.
Excellent pizza and salad restaurant - absolutely delicious.
Consistently quality food and service. Their pizzas are unique and delicious.
Great dinner before concert in Wilmington! Excellent food! Good service!
