Peach vodka and Pittypat's sweet tea.
Georgia Peach Cobbler
A classic Southern recipe. Peach cobbler served bubbly hot and topped with Greenwood's Cinnamon ice cream (made right here in Atlanta).
Classic Pecan Pie
The south's most famous dessert! Caramel, pecans, and just a hint of Southern Comfort. Aunt Pittypat suggests you order this hot and a la mode. (add $0.50 for ice cream)
Great food and service as always.
Charming atmosphere. Sit on a rocking chair while waiting for your table. Feels like you were invited over to dinner at a Southern family's house. The food came out quickly - I think the food is Southern authentic. The "sides" bar was fun and gave us a chance to try pickled okra and other southern sides we would probably never order on our own. The staff was hospitable and the piano player added to the overall southern charm of this restaurant. If we're back in Atlanta, we will make sure to eat at Pittypat's Porch again!
Excellent southern food for a reasonable price! Fabulous salad bar & great service!
Food was not as expected given the price. Small portions and “family style” sides were small. Wait time was long.
Food was fantastic. Fried chicken cooked very well, with excellent seasoning and pretty good salad bar. The only drawback was the House was out of hot sauce. Weird, but stated to be due to a large event.
Janine was our waitstaff. Wrong at three counts! I told her that we will have three separate checks. Second, I want my gumbo with no rice. Third, I wanted dark meat for my fried chicken. She got it all wrong. When I pointed it out, she said, “it was a long day” with no apologies!!!!Otherwise, every thing else was just fine. Nothing special.
The ambiance was really nice...we had a party on 17/18
1 waitress and 1 waiter working both sides of the table.
We ask for straws. The waiter literally stood at the end of the table and threw the straws at us to the other end of the table
Next we were served our meals..but the shareable black eyed peas came after we were finish with our meal and the turnips never did come
Portion size was horrible...
Despite the reservation it still took almost 20 minutes to be seated. Our reservation was for 6:45. They were out of ribs and they only offered us one bread item. They didn't leave the basket on the table or return to offer more. We noticed that they left baskets on surrounding tables so perhaps we didn't look like bread eaters. Idk. This was my third visit and I had a first timer with me. It's a part of the Atlanta experience to eat here so I would probably return again with someone who's never been but otherwise I'll choose another dinner location next time I'm downtown.
Excellent service and very knowledgeable staff with impeccable attention to detail.
The place was charming and easily accessible, and the food was delicious, homemade, and authentically southern. These type of local legacy restaurants are so important to the character of a city and make visiting the area something special.
A great place to take a group for dinner. Great food and service as always.
A friend and I went to dinner on our girls weekend getaway! The food was fantastic! We had a great time and enjoyed absolutely everything!
I have always wanted to visit this restaurant when I have been in Atlanta before. This time, I finally made a reservation and got to in. All of the food, the breads, salad bar and entrees were excellent. We went back to our hotel stuffed and satisfied.
Very nice, friendly and attentive service. The cocktails were delicious, the salad bar was nice and fresh.
The food was delicious, though the crabcakes could have been a little crispier from the outside. Very nice atmosphere.
Awesome food, great ambiance, definitely a place to go in Atlanta!
My first dining experience at Pittypat's Porch was 25 years ago when Atlanta was preparing to host the Olympic games. Ever since I've been telling friends visiting Atlanta to experience the awesome fried chicken and mashed potatoes. My 2nd visit was on Feb 20th, 2020. The chicken and mashed potatoes are still awesome. The service is quick and very friendly. If you are in Atlanta and love to eat comfort food Pittypat's Porch a must.
Live music was a little loud, adverse to carrying on conversations but the atmosphere was great and food excellent. I was trying to stay away from the loud trendy places.
Very nice and friendly staff. I loved the atmosphere. Very welcoming.
We had reservations for 7:30pm and checked in with our entire party present on time. We were not seated until 8:15pm. We were never told they were running behind or to expect a wait, or even thanked for our patience. We were excited to try the restaurant as we are from Colorado and wanted to experience Southern food. We sat for another 10 minutes until someone brought our water and took our drink order. We placed an order for fried green tomatoes with our drinks as we were pretty hungry. When the appetizer arrived, we were finally told we could visit the sideboard. I wish we had been told that earlier as we were beyond hungry!! After we visited the sideboard our waiter brought a bread basket which was yummy-- but again would have been nice much earlier. After we ordered we were told they were out of ribs. Most of us got the fried chicken. It was good fried chicken, but not worth a 45 minute wait. When we placed our dessert order we were again told they were out of what we wanted. Overall it was an okay meal, but nothing special. Service was middle of the road. I would hesitate to return.
Ribs under cooked, no collar greens or black peas, pork fatty
My husband and I wanted to try something new and different. I found Pittypat's during an online search for such a place. We decided to give it a try be cause I am absolutely obsessed with Gone with the Wind. I can say that it was well worth our time. We were seated promptly and our server was phenomenal! We got the history of Pittypat's, suggestions from the menu BUT the most important thing...he knew when to pop by the table to check on us or chat for a minute and he knew when to leave. You don't get that balance at many restaurants. The decor was interesting and all of the photos of the stars that have visited and the GWTW memorabilia was grand, I didn't have time to look at everything.
The food was great! I will say that the sauce was a little to salty for me but I don't like salt much, my husband likes it and he was well pleased. The rest of the meal was on point. The meats tender and flavorful, the vegetables cooked to perfection. I left with a to go plate but the husband left with a full belly because he had to have a piece of pecan pie...I tasted a bite of his and it was the best I have ever had...Please don't tell my Mom(LOL) We will definitely be making another visit to Pittypat's!
Nice to try at least once. Unfortunately my greens and peas were cold and received the wrong steak
It was my first visit and myself and my companion really enjoyed our meals. Ambiance was nice and great atmosphere. I will definitely return.
Like eating at Six Flags or some other amusement park
Was disappointed in the Pittypat Porch. In the end it was simply and higher priced version of Po Folks
For Northern's visiting Atlanta a good place to eat. For real southerners not so much.
Fried chicken was amazing!
