Love this place ~ food is always great. There always seems to be some very LOUD customers there, so I wouldn't recommend it for a date night (especially on busy weekends).

Always love eating at Pitrelli's Jim and Linda always make us feel at home at our neighborhood Italian restaurant.

I chose Pitrelli's for the location since 3 of my party were traveling from Columbus. For all the accolades posted about this restaurant, it did not meet my expectations. Decor was outdated (70's) and shabby. Our party of 7 was seated in the back room where they put larger parties. Carpet was worn and dirty and walls were pretty much bare. I did note that most of the ambiance was in the bar area, and if the restaurant were limited to that space it might have a chance. Service was good; two very attentive, friendly servers. Menu included many Italian dishes. I opted for the chef's special, described as Tuscany chicken breast with cannellini beans and pasta. Food was very slow coming out, and mine was only lukewarm. The chicken breast was cut in small pieces and dry. Sauce was okay, but there was too much pasta (rigatoni). Very disappointing. Others in my party seemed to like their meals, especially the porcini mushroom ravioli and lasagna. Dessert was the best offering. Delicious cannoli and tiramisu. I will not be returning to Pitrelli's. Much better Italian places in Cincinnati to choose from.

Second time and very pleased , great service with smiling faces starting from the owner at the hostess station to the servers that took care of us .

I have tried this restaurant a few times trying to give it another chance. There is always one bartender working which they need at least two. He services the bar plus the dining tables. This is not working. I ordered two martinis which both did not reach the top of the glass the drink itself was just ok, not great. Service was very slow. Ordered an appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert plus a bottle of wine. the app and salad came out together, this is so frustrating! How can an Italian restaurant be out of tiramisu by 7:30pm on Saturday night??? Overall, not going back, done giving it another chance. Time to move on....

p.s. the tables are too close to one another in the smaller rooms. I can hear every conversation.

We discovered this great neighborhood restaurant while staying at Great Wolf Lodge a few miles away. The food was fantastic and the service was top notch. We definitely will be back the next time we are in town!

Great food and good service. We were promptly seated in a quiet room and promptly served. The calamari appetizer was probably the best quality I've had in years...really fresh. I had the lasagne which was a big portion and the restaurant wouldn't split it, but that's ok, I had leftovers. I ordered a side of sausage that was excellent. We shared a bottle of wine that was very reasonably priced. Had no room for dessert. Overall was a great dining experience, except midway through the meal, another couple came in our quiet / semi-private room and began talking on the cell phone (with speaker and all) and wouldn't stop. So much for quiet conversation...

Pitrelli’s remains one of our favorite restaurants. The food and service are of such high quality every time we visit. We love to bring new people with us to experience it for themselves. Thanks Jim and Linda for all you do!

Very very salty!!! Big disappointment .

Our dinner was outstanding! Servings were quite generous, we had leftovers for the next day's lunch. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, but not interruptive. It was obvious our dishes were made from scratch, as variations were accepted with no issue. The only problem is that there were so many options on the menu, we will have to return. Outstanding!!

This was our first time there. I ordered the chicken simpatico but with pasta instead of vegetables. Did not know what pomodoro sauce was but ordered it anyway. I don’t like chunky sauce so I request the plain sauce on the side. While waiting for the sauce, I started to eat the chicken and it was not done and very salty. Our waitress asked if I wanted something else so I got what the rest of my party got which was chicken Marsala without mushrooms. It was good but there was so much sauce that it was like soup. One of the other persons (in my group) meal needed more sauce so we actually spooned out several spoonfuls of sauce from my plate! I told the waitress that everything was fine but just didn’t want to say anything more negative. We buy the basil and garlic marinara sauce all the time at Kroger and love it. There was even a period of time that they didn’t have the sauce there and thought about coming to the restaurant just to buy the sauce. The salad was very good.

We LOVED this adorable Italian eatery. The food had such flavor (we especially loved the sausage and peppers pasta with the sausage coming from a local butchers). The atmosphere was romantic and quiet. Our waitress was super sweet and helpful. Wonderful date-night spot.

Wife's chicken parm was way over cooked. The food was just okay overall. Sad because we would go often if food was better quality

Server needs retraining. No welcome. Felt like she threw the bottle of wine on the table. Didn’t offer pepper for salad. Didn’t clear plates. Didn’t offer desert. Had to ask for the check. Threw the check down and said here it is.

Good Italian selections for our best Italian friends from Dayton. Our waitress was great, owner/manager very friendly and seeing the 99 year old former violin player was fun.

Excellent dining experience. Great service, great atmosphere, incredible food. Can’t wait to go back.

We enjoyed the atmosphere . The food was good but a little pricey for what you get. We liked it enough to return soon.

Delicious appetizer, great specials and overall great experience.

We have been there before and it was wonderful. Was so looking forward to going back. This time we had a group of 12 for my husbands birthday. It took an hour to be served our meals and we had children so it was a little long for them. Three of us ordered the Rigatoni with Italian Sausage and it was barely warm. Two of the children's meals came after all had been served. They were very apologetic and sweet. Maybe it was just an off night for them. Will go back, just disappointed this time.

Maybe we picked the wrong dishes, but the food was below average. Chicken simpatico was watery and chicken was over salted and tough.

Once again a great evening out. Service was great, the staff is friendly, the menu choices were great and the food even better. It's so nice to be able to go to a restaurant that appreciates you as a customer, makes you feel welcome, and takes the time to speak with you and get to know you.

Food was great as usual!

One of our favorites places, especially when we don’t want to go downtown. Very reasonably priced, especially wines. Don’t miss the lightly fried eggplant appetizer. In fact we often just go for appetizers and wine. Ask for David as your waiter.

A wonderful place to dine. Our waiter, Dave was courteous and attentive to our needs. He did a fantastic job. The relaxed atmosphere added to the ambiance. We'll definitely be back again.

Delicious! Carrie (sp?) was fantastic! She was fun, attentive and had terrific wine suggestions for us.

It had been a while since our last visit and found it to be as enjoyable experience as before. From the greeting at the front door to the friendly service provided by David along with the plentiful tasty food, an overall great experience.

Glad to see Jim has continued this great and local dining experience.

Great Restaurant. The food is always wonderful, the service impeccable and the employees are very attentive. We love to go there.

Overall the food was fantastic and service was amazing. We normally get out in the booths in front two rooms with nice lighting and atmosphere. We sat for first time in rear room. Which is well lit and just tables and really nothing special about it and really took away from Ambience and that being big reason we went on Valentine’s Day it kinda really sucked.

We went for Valentine's day. My wife's meal came out, but they got mine wrong (Chicken Parmesan). My food did not come out until my wife was almost done with hers. I'm not even sure my waitress was aware since they used runners and never interacted with me on how late my meal was. Generally would expect a comp or a desert since it was so late and a special occasion. They offered the dessert menu and the check before we were done with our food--probably due to the delay from the kitchen. Food was fantastic, but a frustrating situation. The waitress was not put in a winning situation due to the kitchen and was attentive otherwise.

This was our first visit to Pitrelli’s and it was Wonderful! Our server was very friendly and discussed the menu with us. The food was delicious and serving portion were more than adequate so be prepared to box some up for your next meal. The raspberry cheesecake was so creamy and chocolate crust just took it over the top! We will be visiting again!
