Love this place. Food is always good, the atmosphere is pleasant. People are very welcoming.
My wife and I have been patronizing Pistachio Grille for years. We are never disappointed in our meal. The entree selections are superb, with daily specials that are even better. Highly recommend treating yourself to a fine place to dine in Maple Glen!
Great service! Recommend!
I do not understand why there isn't a line to get into this place. When we first arrived we were the only people but then two other tables came in. The food was so delicious. I ordered one of the specials: scallops over risotto with asparagus and my friend ordered the shrimp ravioli. Both dishes were outstanding. The service was good too. I think they need to advertise more because all the dishes that came out of the kitchen looked inviting. The prices were good and the portion size was great. (I had leftovers) I will be back!
Very nice place. Wonderful service. The Stuffed Pork Chop from their specials menu was delightful. Yum yum in my tum
Food was excellent, well prepared good value
Only down side was I felt we were being rushed to clean up the table
Was asked several times if I was finished
Individual plates were cleared from the table as soon as that person finished their final bite of food
Slower eaters at the table felt rushed to finish their food
The food was excellent. Everyone at my table (6) enjoyed the food they ordered. Scallops were sweat and creamy, oysters and mussels were tender. It is a small space however and on a Saturday evening, it was very crowded. I felt a tad crammed into my space and conscious of not hitting the person seated behind me with my chair. I would definitely eat there again.
This was our second time here. The first it was a late rainy night and we practically had the whole place to ourselves and had great food, great service and quiet atmosphere to talk. We were looking forward to going back. However, our last visit was not near as good. First of all, not sure if because we made reservation through open table or not but we were put at a table with a hole in the wall to the kitchen covered by a curtain - it was loud! Service this night was very slow as they were busy. We would be waving our hands in the air to try and get someones attention without success. We were crammed in like sardines too. The food is fabulous but costly and small portions. We left and realized we did not get a receipt. I called the next day and since they are a small operation I got a long story that the owner just took the receipts etc and he would get back to me - never did! Sorry to say, we won't be going back!
We had terrible service. We had to request water several times as well as bread. We were charged extra because we split the salad....crazy (anything to make an extra $2.00 on a $12.00 salad). My chicken entree was average and the smallest portion I have ever seen!! We think they purposely gave us a small serving and bad service because we had a group on. We would NEVER return without a coupon and would think twice even if we had a coupon. Their food is inconsistent. Our server, a male, was very rude. Unfortunately I do not know his name.
The timing of the meal was not good. Long gap between apps and dinner. I actually think this was a problem in the kitchen as my dinner was obviously sitting for awhile before it came out.
Our server was very professional and the rest of the staff was helpful.
Have dined at PG a number of times in the past five years and enjoyed it. I don't know what has happened but dining experience on 3/18/16 was poor. Service was fine but food was not. There were five of us. One had fish, one had lamb, 2 had chicken and 1 had veal. HONESTLY: the fish (salmon) was fishy, the chicken was tough and the lamb chops were fatty. The veal was ok. To be fair, the appetizer salads were excellent.
Food was NOT good. We will not be returning to PG in the near future. Ashame.
Amazing food and classy place! Fun night
The food overall was very good but not quite up to my expectations. The WhiteChopino was very tasty, but a little bit too oily , some of the seafood was a bit overcooked as was the fresh made pasta. I was not offered any grated cheese for my pasta nor any fresh ground pepper .The bass was made perfectly ,but a bit pricey .Deserts were excellent , and again a bit pricey ( $8 )
Note: get a table away from any parties that are "partying too hard "(it gets very loud & noisey)
Our table of 4 ordered the specials for the night. They were very good, but a little pricey. I had the bouillabaisse which was delicious. All the seafood was cooked to perfection and the broth had a lovely rich taste. I'm always very pleased with my meal every time I eat at Pistachio!
Reservations definitely recommended. Good that we had them. Melanie our server did an outstanding job. Slightly chilly due to the location of our seats. Could not be helped. Busy night. Food specifically the seafood wedge salad was excellent. We had their specials. Very good with the exception the seafood ravioli dish was not very hot. For all foods being prepared on site, I wondered if it was frozen . Had the leftover ravioli dish the next day, much better. BYOB is a huge benefit. I will be there again for sure.
Great BYOB with excellent service. Love the beef carpaccio appetizer and my husband said it was the best cream of mushroom soup he ever had. All entrees are exceptional and always fun to share a delicious dessert.
We passed by this place tons of times not giving it a thought. It's curb appeal didn't draw us in. How happy we are that Open Table pointed us to this great BYOB. Food is superior with a nice variety on the menu. Service was exceptional.
We had a late night dinner Saturday evening. We were graciously told by the staff that two (loud) groups were dining in the main room, and offered us a choice of dining in the main room or they could set up a table in the front room. We chose the quieter option, the staff was most caring, and food delicious! Nice romantic dinner! Thank you.
Really good food. Fairly reasonable pricing. Service was attentive. Would highly recommend!
The service was very good and the staff was very pleasant and accommodating.
Nice atmosphere and nice menu with above average food.
Dinner with the Girls brought us to this BYOB. Our waiter, Shaun, was excellent - very attentive. The food was expensive BUT worth it. There were six of us. We had the Calamari and the Mushroom Soup for apps. Both were delicious. We had four fillet specials ($35) and two Talapia w/ Shrimp. All six of us raved about each entrée. Then dessert .... Key Lime Pie and the Berry Compote between the six of us - ... we rolled home! Definitely a treat!! We'll be back!!
Always pleased with the food. The seafood salad special (when they have it) is to die for! Had it twice and both times it was fabulous!
The atmosphere is nice and the staff is very friendly. There menu offers a nice variety. In addition they have great specials. We will definitely go back again.
It's partly my fault for not looking at the menu before I made reservations, but if I had known I would be paying $25 for a pasta dish with a little sausage and chicken mixed in, I definitely would have gone somewhere else. If I'm going to pay exorbitant prices I'll go to a place with a little cachet, not a neighborhood place in a strip mall. Service was good. Food and ambience was passable. Overall, though, not enough value for a repeat.
BYOB. Excellent service, pleasant ambiance. For dinner (our only meal experience there thus far), delicious options for every course, budget, and palette. Upscale enough for a special occasion, but relaxed enough to be your favorite weekly dinner spot in your dressed up jeans.
My husband and I have been eating at Pistachio Grill since it opened. Food is always fabulous. Now that it has been renovated, the atmosphere is nicer. Our most recent experienced a night when the wait staff was shorthanded. Unfortunately we found our waiter to be overwhelmed at times and neglectful of our table. Hopefully this was just an unusual evening with not enough servers. Food was fabulous, as always.
Although our meal was very good, our waiter left us not so thrilled. It was as if we were bothering him with any change we asked for.
Wonderful first experience! We were warmly welcomed and cared for from the moment we arrived until saying goodbye after a delicious dinner. Service was caring - during each course a server or management checked to be certain everything was just the way we wanted and that all our dining needs were satisfied. Menu is varied, and presents many possibilities. We have long wanted to dine here and now we are left wondering, what the heck took us so long to try this restaurant in our own back yard. We look forward to our next visit.
My visit this time was the first time I have been back in a couple of years, just for plain forgetting about the restaurant. The food was delicious. There are plenty but not too many entrees to choose from. The lamb chop appetizer was cooked to perfection. I had the stuffed porch chop which was incredible. Also a byob, which you just can't beat.
Horrible experience! Both entrees were beyond eatable Salads were goog. Our female waitress and Asian waiter were rude the risotto looked like a pile of thick cheesy oatmeal and the chicken Marsella tasted as though the chef poured a shaker of salt on it. Very disappointed. Were treated horribly by the help for the exception of a nice bus boy and a very nice, pretty blond (possibly owner. Will not be returning ever!
Had to stop myself from ordering the stuffed pork chop since I've liked it so much InThe past. I've tried a number of menu items and have not been disappointed
Pistachio Grill has long been one of our staples---especially in winter. It's tucked away feel is cozy and it's menu would offer most tastes something good. Recently redecorated (at least for us), it's more modern and inviting. We do miss the Chicken St. Mason, however. I was hoping for that dish and it is now off the redone menu. Otherwise, a nice meal, nice atmosphere.
Went with another couple two out of four meals were not good. Oysters were over cooked and dry. Risotto with scallops bland. It was a weeknight only three tables no excuse for everything not to be exceptional.
Veal chop was outstanding! Duck with scallops were delicious but portion was small. Service was pleasant but salad was served we were asked if we wanted pepper, we said yes but it never came. We were asked if we wanted water and it didn't come. We asked for a box for leftovers and that didn't come so we had to ask our waitress. All of the requests that were not fulfilled were of Lauren, the blonde who was helping out. As a result service was not great.
The food is delicious. Nightly specials are wonderful and plentiful. Make sure to have the Ahi Tuna to start!
Guys, it was awesome!!! It was my birthday and my co-workers took me to lunch - I picked the place and it was packed with a party of 60 women which didn't effect us at all. Our food was delicious, servers and host were awesome!!! see you soon!
Attentive service, allowed us to linger (it was a meeting with clients) and renovations look great!
We returned to Pistachio Grille after a few years. I Don't know why we stopped going but my husband and I passed it recently and that reminded us that we need to try it again. We also really like BYOs.
Our server couldn't have been nicer and more attentive and we were also pleasantly surprised to see how they refreshed and updated the dining room. It now has a modern and more sophistocated look and feel to it. The menu was also new and improved, and it was difficult to make a decision on what to order. Our dinner was delicious.
Pistachio Grille is back on our favorites list and we will be going often.
