Meh. Food was just OK. Nothing spectacular, but nothing was awful either. We sat down at our table and it was dripping with soy sauce and sticky - not a great first impression. Service was friendly.
Enjoyed the privacy of the booths. Servers were attentative. Sushi was very fresh ...and sooo delicious. Craft drinks are overdone. Overall, very good. Highly recommended. Will absolutely return.
Wonderful presentation, fresh choices. Best uni ever! The server, DJ, was fantastic and not one single complaint.
Great food and customer service every time! The sushi rolls are outstanding.
Great annual visit from Atlanta! Thanks for the great food!
We had a great experience at Pisces! The food was great, the staff was upbeat and kind. I felt the restaurant could use a little updating, but the set up was great.
Valentine’s Day. Waitress paid little attention and was not personable.
Food was delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful.
We were 45 minutes late for our reservation on Valentines Day (our GPS lead us astray to the wrong location) but thankfully they still seated us. Our waiter was very attentive to our needs w/o being overbearing. The Fried Calamari app was very good, not too much breading and we enjoyed the sauce. My wife really enjoyed her Sushi Combo plate and how it was presented. She was 'stuffed' after eating. I'm not a big sushi fan and had the Steak Tataki. Although it's flank steak it was perfectly seasoned and tender. We were in and out in under an hour which was perfect since we had another engagement to get to. My wife also had a Lemon Drop and raved about that too. Very reasonably priced, we got in and out, including a 20% tip, for under $100. After reading some of the negative comments on Yelp I was a bit apprehensive about dining there but overall we had a great experience and will be going back again.
All food was cold when delivered. Terrible service. Very over priced for what was experienced.
Great food and even better service! Our waiter was amazing and made some really great recommendations.
Great! We went here for restaurant week and loved it!
Julian was our service and took good care of us. Very impressed considering the service at some restaurants goes down during restaurant week. Food was delicious and great value.
Great overall dining experience . The food was exceptional!! Staff was friendly. The two person seating arrangement was very intimate, which was a huge plus!! I would definitely recommend this to a friend
The sushi and drinks were all delicious. Our server wasn't all that great but can't win them all. Nice spot, check them out!
Worst sushi ever. Worst crab rangoon ever. Very disappointing. Would never recommend.
The food was excellent and definitely worth the value for restaurant week! Will be back for sure!
The hostess was amazing and even wished us happy anniversary without prompting as it was noted in the reservation. They made us a desert that even wished us happy anniversary!
The food was amazing and prompt service, the only thing that was a con for the first time for us here was our waitress.
When she noted that we were there for the Queen's feast, she seems almost to not care about quality service for our table but she rebounded in the middle of the meal and it was a great night. Check this place out you won't regret it.
The sushi was delicious and dessert was even better!!!
Food was excellent. We were there for restaurant week and we had a choice of an appetizer and for an entree we chose two sushi rolls each. They were abundant and flavorful. The sushi was not overly creative but it was fresh.
This is the second time I've been to this restaurant. The first time I ordered sushi and the second off the hibachi menu. The food was ... meh. Nothing special, especially for the price.
The booth area of the restaurant is cute and good for conversation as it is more quiet than the main seating area.
Great service & great food at the Metropolitan location both times I have been. Would reccomend/will go again!
Ask for a private booth! Great crab dumplings
It was my first visit and the food will definitely bring me back. Delicious!
Best sushi I have had. I will return Small and quaint place. Not very loud.
Food was great! I had the "Aries". Decent wine list. Waiter wasn't very attentive, even though the restaurant wasn't packed. Tables were a little tight, but cozy enough.
The food was very good but there was no bartender so had to wait for drinks. There was an unpleasant odor in the restaurant.
The food at Pisces is always just amazing! The sushi in the freshness of the fish never disappoints.
We have eaten here before as well as the one in Mooresville. We are always very pleased with the Sushi quality, it’s freshness and presentation. Prices are reasonable for the quality and ambiance of this excellent sushi restaurant. We requested a booth this time for a bit of a different experience. The booths are definitely a bit more secluded and private even romantic. However, the booth entrance is about 5’10” so watch your head if you are 5’10.5” or above. I’m 5’11” and bumped my head on the way out, ouch! Our waiter even warned us.
Dinner was a special occasion with my wife and son so we ordered dessert after dinner. There were several options, we settled on creme brulee cheesecake and some kind of flourless chocolate truffle cake. The cheesecake was as expected and good, but the gultten free chocolate truffle cake which was more like a giant truffle than any cake was the most awesome dessert I have ever had at a restaurant. The three of us shared both desserts and a little left, the portion size was generous and good for sharing. Well done Pisces, we’ll be back!
The sushi was very good with a beautiful presentation, and the hibachi dinner and loco moco received good comments from my fellow diners. Service was a little slow and inattentive despite there being few diners. It took some effort to get our waitress' attention, and some of my sushi arrived well after everything else. The chairs are oddly uncomfortable, with a bar across the mid-back that digs into your spine (each of us struggled with it, despite being very different heights and sizes) and the bottom of it has a strange pitch so your rear is quite low but the front of your legs are high. But, the sushi was very good and that is the most important thing.
OUTSTANDING SUSHI, the best I have had in NC!!!
Really enjoyed Pisces- the sushi was excellent and my drink was prepared perfectly. We ordered the Screaming O, Dynamite, XOXO and Main Squeeze rolls. All were delicious! I'll definitely be going back for another date night or even a group dinner. My only complaint was the temperature in the restaurant. I was freezing. The waitress assured my that they were working on a fix- but even my husband was cold throughout dinner- and he's never cold.
Pisces has consistently had the top 2 freshest sushi in town. They do have a lot of speciality rolls which are good too but my preference is to order nigiri/sashimi and especially from their fresh menu which has a lot of exotic sushi not found on a typical menu. Recommended.
The presentation of the food was wonderfully pleasing. The staff were very pleasent and funny. They were very freindly and accommodating. We had a great night.
Have been to Pisces quite a few times and it is always spot on. Food and service are wonderful and menu is always interesting.
We really enjoyed this place for Sushi. Many of the rolls were very creative and not your ordinary run of the mill sushi. The staff was very good too. They worked as a team and checked back with us often to make sure everything was OK. Will repeat next time in Charlotte.
Pisces was very accomodating for me, for I tried to place a reservation for a large group on a Friday night and very few restaurants would take such a reservation. The staff was very easy to work with and they even called me the day of to confirm my reservation. The service was attentive and fast, and the food tasted wonderful with plenty of options to choose from. I loved the ambience, especially having live music in the background that was not too loud. I was very happy overall with my experience here!
Too expensive for what you actually receive. It was my birthday dinner and the waitress did not seem to care or even say Happy Birthday. It felt like an average dinner that was not worth the expense. Definitely would not recommend dining for a special occasion.
Food was average. The restaurant itself was just ok. The reviews did not match the ambience I experienced
Flight was canceled and my wife and I wanted sushi. Did some homework and found Pisces. Excellent from start to finish. The service was on point and the food was fresh, delicious and creative. We don't live in town, but to anyone who does, consider yourselves lucky. It is awesome, my taste buds thank you.
