We were a party of seven and all agreed that our meal at Pippali was excellent, from the cocktails to the food. We were treated to super attentive and kind service and the heat outside was well distributed so that we all managed to eat without being distracted by the cold. The outside setting is also nicely decorated, adding to a lovely ambience. The food was some of the best I have had in the area - the biryani particularly was a hit with everyone. We’ll be back - this has become a family favorite.
Went to Pippali to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Overall it was a good dinner - the food were scrumptious and the service was good.
I mean absolutely amazing. Best samosas I ever had outside Girl Scout cookies. Food was amazing, service was perfect, I highly recommend getting the desert with the rose syrup.
10/10
Great service and some of the best Indian food in all of downtown. Wish they had better social engagement since their food is so good.
Place was closed, even though the reservation was confirmed. Bad customer experience.
Aside from the amazing food our waiter Khalid was great. He made our anniversary feel special.
Overall good experience. However the restaurant that took a reservation at 12pm (opening time) wasn’t set up and ready to take guests for 15 mins. So we just had to hang around for that amount of time until they set up. After that the experience was good as staff was friendly and food was very good.
Always a winner, the food is delicious and the service is always friendly. They have carefully met all the requirements to make customers dining outdoors comfortable and safe during COVID-19. We started out with a chaat, then had tandoori chicken, biryanis, jaipuri kofta and naan. Highly recommend Pippali.
Amazing food and service. Food takes a little longer to come out but that’s how I know it’s fresh. Enjoy the ambience while you wait. You won’t regret it!
Great meal!
Great food and even better service. Friendly and accomodating. Beautiful outdoor seating.
Favorite place!
We were visiting NYC and found Pippali online. They were delightful! I have gluten and dairy issues. So dining out can be a struggle. The waiter carefully explained the menu and which dishes would meet my needs. The food was fantastic and the servers were very kind! Best part was I had no stomach ache after. I most definitely will go back when I’m in the city again.
Food was just ok. Nothing special or memorable. We went specifically for Thali and the quality was disappointing especially the paneer... it just wasn’t fresh. The worst part was the food was delivered within 5 minutes of ordering . We had ordered mango lassi’s and just wanted to chat and relax but everything was rushed and there were empty tables so there was no real reason for the frenetic pace. We won’t go back.
Thank you for our special birthday gesture😌.
Great food and service as always but the music was way too loud and also inappropriate. Playing techno dance music at 6pm in a relaxed restaurant is quite off putting and kinda spoiled the evening. Try and make it more subdued and it’ll be perfect.
Great service and delicious food and delicious drinks too
Really nice North Indian food, well prepared and presented. The food is not at all spicy--so if that is what you like, Pippali is for you.
Very enjoyable dinner for two, I'd go again. The green chili chicken appetizer was delicious. The breads were excellent. The Chettinad Duck entree was good but the fat was too chewy, could have been better.
Typically I've been going to Pipalli for years for the deliciousTali they serve at lunch. Dinner much to my delight was equally terrific with a wonderful selection of vegetarian dishes.
A bit crowded, with several large parties when we were there. That might be the season. Service a little too quick, but the food was good.
Best Indian food in the neighborhood. Great service
Delicious authentic Punjabi food. The staff is very attentive and kind. Will definitely be returning.
Very tasty food
Restaurant somewhat chilly
Very authentic indian cuisine! Perfect for the winter weather.
Food was not really authentic, portions to few, thus prices not adequate
Sunday thali special was great! Food was flavorful, Lamb was excellent and very tender, nice presentation also. We had a good time! Will return for sure!
This is a place that I really enjoy eating because it is nice and pleasantly quiet with excellent food. I would definitely recommend eating here if you're in the area.
Really great spot. Just wish we were seated separate from other guests when the place was otherwise empty. But. Honestly, no big deal. It was a great place. Will definitely go back.
Pippali was good, but nothing stood out as great. Given the high reviews I expected more flavor, more depth but really just felt like a somewhat average Indian restaurant. It was clean and bright. No complaints, just nothing memorable either.
The waiter was rude and openly disrespectful and they added 20% service charge to the bill for four people or up but they don’t say that anywhere. And they wouldn’t change it.
One of the best Indian restaurants in nyc.
Great Indian food. good portions, adequately priced. Authentic and delicious.
It is one of the go to places for Indian food. Saffron flavored chicken- done in Tandoor is always good. Other favorites are biryanis and naan. All the saucy vegetables are very good as well. Cocktails are interesting!
Our favorite restaurant in the city!
My first time eating Indian cuisine and I can honestly say it was amazing. The staff was very attentive and informative on different entrees. Looking forward to returning.
Our first time here, and the service was excellent! Wait-staff was attentive and accommodating. The cuisine was a gastronomic symphony of delicious Indian flavors. I highly recommend this restaurant. Tip try to make reservations by 7pm it’s gets very busy after 7:30.
Good for Indian food. Their dishes are tasteful and flavorful
Great choice for trying Filipino food.
Amazing food. Loved the curry choices. Birthday meal with the whole family.
