Piola Restaurant and Garden
Experience the richness and diversity of our menu while relaxing in an elegant space that takes you back in time. Located in the Cultural District of Fort Worth, Piola restaurant is a short walk from the museums and a short drive from downtown.
The front of the house was wonderful and seated us earlier than our reservation time on a busy Saturday night. Our waiter Tim was friendly, attentive and very helpful. The food was delicious! We can’t wait to go back next time we are in town.
This is a great place for quiet dining as a couple or with friends. The ambience is wonderful as is the food. When the weather is nice, the outdoor patio is outstanding!!
Booked a birthday dinner for my wife. The restaurant is in on old converted house and the exterior and interior are very nice. It was too cold to try the patio but it looked very inviting as well.
We arrived at our appointed time and were immediately seated by the owner. Our waiter was very prompt getting to our table and took our wine order right away.
Appetizers were an order of crab cakes and an order of steamed mussels. Both were prepared very nicely. Crab cakes came with a lemon aioli which paired well with the crab flavor. The mussels were steamed in a classic white wine, herbs and garlic broth. Mussels were plump and juicy and not overcooked like many other restaurants.
Entrees were the two specials of the evening. Seared scallops and shrimp paired with a red pepper risotto. Moist and tender scallops and shrimp with just the right amount of searing. The risotto was the best we have had in a long time. Soft and creamy texture that stayed that way throughout dinner.
I had the veal chop special. a 14oz bone in veal chop with a mushroom demi-glace accompanied by garlic seasoned fried potatoes with goat cheese sprinkles and steamed asparagus. The chop had a nice sear on the outside and was a perfect medium rare in the center. The demiglace enhanced the overall flavor of the chop nicely. The potatoes were well seasoned and were crisp and the cheese added a nice tanginess. The asparagus was steamed to perfection. a nice little snap to the outside and a soft middle.
Dessert was a shared creme brulee that made for a nice finish to a wonderful meal.
Service was prompt and efficient even though there was a full house. The noise level was a little loud for our taste it wasn't loud or obnoxious, so we just leaned a little closer to hear better. Overall it was a very nice dinner in a lovely old house. The pricing was very good considering the quality and service. I have paid a LOT more for less at other so called fine dining restaurants. We will definitely visit Piola
I had another pleasant dining experience.
This was my 4th time to visit Piola's, but the first in a few years. My date had not been before so I was excited to share the experience with him. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed in our meal. His linguini had undercooked vegetables and was lacking in flavor and my lobster ravioli was drowning in its vodka sauce. While we were underwhelmed with our food, the service was fantastic and made it a pleasant experience overall.
This was our first time trying this establishment and was VERY disappointed that they had a set menu for Valentine’s night. Had this been advertised in advance that the full menu would not be available we would have picked another night to patronize. I didn’t feel like the options we had to pick from was worth the price assessed and we couldn’t make any substitutions 😡
We have been to Piola several times over the years. It seems that the food has declined in quality and taste. Very disappointing as this was one of our go to restaurants close by.
Food, service and atmosphere were all great!!!
Always great. They always cook fish perfectly. Service is good without hovering.
Visitors from out of town ... wanted good experience where noise level was minimal for ease of conversation. We got everything we wanted. Love Piola!
I chose to celebrate my 60th Birthday at Piola. The food is always delicious, the service is outstanding and I have never had anything other than a positive experience. I highly recommend both the Lobster Ravioli and the Rigatoni Bolognese.
A very special place. Neighborhood vibe. Extremely good hospitality. Great for any occasion.
Service was great and the food was excellent
Excellent food with a nice selection of both food and wines. Service was very attentive and professional. Great experience, which is typical for this establishment.
Our waitress was not very personable . This is not what I have become accustomed to at Piola.
Would have preferred to be asked if our table of three women wanted separate checks. As it was, we had to do the math and split out the costs ourselves. This is 2020 with computers! Not too hard to split out what each person had. At least ask if a table would like separate checks.
We received fantastic service from Tim, and the meal was delicious as always. Not one morsel of food was left to bring home. We look forward to returning!
The food was superb and the staff went out of there way to make my father’s birthday a charming celebration. For a unique dining experience with elegance, this is the place.
Wonderful dinner this past Saturday night. There were six of us with each person getting a different dish, and everyone walked away happy. Great service and great food!
We arrived around 5pm and enjoyed happy hour drinks and appetizers. It was very quiet and cozy. The waitress was very attentive. My husband had the risotto and shrimp dish, which he really enjoyed. I had a pasta and shrimp dish that I thought was supposed to have spinach in it, but didn't. It tasted good. We had the chocolate ganache for dessert and it was outstanding.
One of Fort Worth's best restaurants. Very consistent and pleasant.
Best eggplant parmigiana I have ever tasted. And I ordered it gluten free! Many layers of flavor!
I attended your restaurant Because it is quite and we could carry on a conversation however we had a very nosi
Wonderful place for a nice night out! Gentlemen, if you're looking for a place in fort worth to impress a date, this place will do it! Food was great and the atmosphere was equally impressive. Give it a try!
Lunch is extremely reasonable since all meals come with a first and second course! We had the shrimp and asparagus risotto which was excellent. Great place to have a meeting and not have to speak loudly above the background noise because there isn't any.
Love Piola! Every time!❤️ Everyone’s dish was amazing and nice staff!
Consistently excellent food and service.
Great service and atmosphere. Food left something to be desired. Have not eaten here in some time and wanted to go try some of the places in Fort Worth that have been around for awhile. In my opinion the food has gone down hill. Buffalo meatballs tasted like a Salisbury steak TV dinner. Snapper was rubbery, overcooked, and previously frozen. Better lasagna served at a chain restaurant. Tried, but with food like this, competition will win out.
Love this place for special occasions. Excellent food, exceptional service. Its nice to have a wait staff that are adults and not teenagers with tats, purple hair, and attitudes!
always consistent, prices are incredibly fair and the vibe is perfect............one of Fort Worth's secret treasures for dining
Great ambiance with the home converted to a restaurant. My first time there, had Chicken Piccata, it was just above average, it could have been better.
I would certainly recommend this place for date night romance.
Always a delightful time at Piola. Intimate, but friendly setting, great food and good service.
Overall the food was brought out in a timely manner, and very tasty. However, I found the portions to be very small. The tables are very close together and the noise level seemed to be very high The waiter was courteous and knowledgeable
Always one of my favorite places! Very romantic and nice ambiance and the food is always superb!
Christmas lunch. Good food, good conversation in a lovely environment.
Recommended by 2 of our friends independently. Did not disappoint. It was a cold Monday evening so tables were available on short notice. We’ll be back when it’s warmer for patio seating. Can’t wait for that!
It was a special occasion & was great. Food outstanding. Will definitely return.
I think we hit an off night. Our meals were very good, but not quite excellent. Still a great place, and we will be back.
Everyone there is so nice!
We went to a concert at the Dickies Arena & this was convenient in terms of location. We were pleasantly surprised by the awesome service & delicious food! The pesto pasta & chicken parmigiana were amazing!
A date with my daughter before the Nutcracker.
This was our second time to dine at Piola’s. By far, our new favorite restaurant.
