Exceptionally attentive service from Teresa. Patio was spacious and provided ample privacy on a Wednesday evening. Food was delivered promptly & tasted amazing. Free, close, & easy parking directly across the street. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had dinner before a concert last night and overall had a very nice experience. FOOD: The Goat Cheese Bruschetta was DELICIOUS! My Veal piccata was also scrumptious. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was on point. My wife had the chicken piccata, and everything was yummy, but we noticed that something about the chicken was a little off. This will sound strange, but it tasted very "chickeny"... We closed dinner out with vanilla creme brulee. SERVICE: Our waitress seemed a little rushed -- and we noticed in general that the wait staff seemed to be rushed for some odd reason because the restaurant itself is not very large. That said, she was prompt and served us well. ATMOSPHERE: The open seating layout doesn't lend itself to being really romantic or anything....but it was cozy, and we enjoyed the experience. VALUE: We felt that pricing was about right for the portions. All in all, we had a great experience and would return!

I had higher hopes and would assume it’s better on a normal day. We went for Valentine’s Day, where they had a special set menu. They ran out of the two of the items, which were the only two I was looking forward to. The price was absolutely not worth the value. My opinion on the value may have differed, if what I wanted was available. I don’t understand how you run out of items on a specialized set menu. We also asked for a to go box for my girlfriend’s pasta. It was never delivered and the kitchen threw out the remainder, which was probably half of her course. They offered to give us calamari as replacement, but that obviously doesn’t sit well. All and all, it was a bit of bad experience.

It would have been nice to have been told in the several calls to confirm our reservation that it was a $78/person fixed menu without a drink included. Unfortunately the first course was cold. The fish main course was just 4 pieces of fried fish with some cut up cherry tomatoes on it and the carbonara was emulsified so the sauce didn’t blend right. We were very rushed with our courses coming out before we’d finished the previous course. We hadn’t been here before and had heard great things. Very disappointing.

Valentines menu was ok but not as good as the regular menu. We were very rushed by the waitress and felt that they were trying to get us out asap. Appetizer was outstanding but the rest of the food was mediocre to poor.

My Wife and I went for an early Valentines dinner, this was our first time eating Piola. We enjoyed our dinner even though it was a limited menu the 4 course meal was delicious. The staff was excellent, they were there to make our meal an enjoyable venture. We will be back and look forward to exploring other dishes from the full choice menu.

I’ve been eating @ restaurants in FTW for many years, but didn’t know this little gem of a restaurant was even there! Located in a residential area w/ parking across the street, it is wonderful food in a super nice atmosphere. If you haven’t ever been, go & I'm sure you’ll add it to your list of favorites!

Wanted to try this restaurant for a while now. Although is good, it did not wow me or my husband. The food wasn’t exquisite, it was just ok I was hoping for a better service, our server seemed to be more attentive to those who were drinking wine. We are not alcohol drinking copule so I guess we missed out on a more attentive service.

Our reservation was at 5:30. For New Year’s Eve the maître d’ was dressed in very casual wear. Something you might wear at home to watch TV. We were seated in the corner in front of a partition. Behind the partition they ran their adding machine and had a cell phone ringing plus conversation. Our waitress had to tell them to pick up the phone. We were the third party in the restaurant, and were seated at the most undesirable place. The bread and dipping sauce were not offered. We had to ask and it was disappointing. We both enjoyed our entrées. My husband had the veal and I had a chicken dish. Our appetizers were the sautéed clams. Usually they are served with garlic crust toast. In this case,nothing was serve with the clams and no utensil as an a small fork. Overall, we were disappointed. I don’t like to write negative reviews.

This little restaurant is a gem. Decent food (not spectacular) but the service and atmosphere are a nice departure from the chain restaurants that are way too common in Texas. The marinara isn’t anything special - the misto salad had three times the needed vineagrette. But it’s all decent and fresh.
