Love love LOVE. Feels like home!!!
Absolutely amazing and authentic Italian dinner in such a relaxed venue. My girlfriend and I were literally looking at each other like 🤯🤯 followed by 🤤🤤. The food was hands down some of the best I’ve had in my life, not to mention Fort Worth, I had the lobster ravioli and the vodka sauce was unbelievably delicious and the raviolis were just as good if not somehow even better! My girlfriend had the shrimp scampi with lemon butter sauce and it looked like she was about to pick up the dish and start drinking the sauce after she ate all the pasta and shrimp. Oh! And the calamari was to die for. Not like your typical fried calamari the breading was rich, flavorful and the calamari was cooked to perfection. Never had calamari like that and don’t think I’ll ever find anywhere else that does it that well ever again!! I’m really not the type to write a lot of reviews but this place immediately became one of those “we are definitely coming back” kind of places. All I can say is thank you to the staff and chef and our wonderful waitress, Leandra, for a special night. I cannot recommend this place enough.
I always enjoy the cozy atmosphere and selection of tasty dishes here
It was our first time and we sat inside but they have a nice patio area with heaters. We enjoyed the experience and were treated very well. The downfall was that I expected the food to astound me and it didn’t. It’s obvious the chef puts a lot of effort in the dishes but at least what I tried didn’t wow me. The cappuccino pie on the other hand was amazing, though.
Very nice relaxing atmosphere and great tasting food.
Delicious food & wonderful large outdoor patio that accommodates current Covid-19 situation.
The usually great food was tough and flavorless. Avoid the veal chop
Love their service , food, and outdoor area. Always a sure thing!
Fantastic food with outstanding service
The atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door is amazing. Our server was very good as well as the rest of the wait staff. Food came at a nice pace, nothing was rushed. All our food was excellent and the presentation done well.
We will definately be back in the future.
Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. Oh! And spectacular wine!
I came here with my family who was in town for the weekend. The food was delicious but we could hardly have a conversation at our table because of how loud the restaurant was. There was a huge birthday party in one section of the room whose volume overtook the whole room. At times the party members came out of the room and crowded near our table. No one was practicing social distancing. I left the restaurant with a sore throat from having to yell just for the people at my table to be able to hear me.
Food was great! Went with my family for my Birthday- sat on the patio. Will go back!
Great place to eat outside and social distance! Excellent service and food!
We had a lovely time pre-symphony on Saturday. Always enjoy this place.
So elated I found this neighborhood gem. Peaceful, beautiful outdoor dining experience. The menu has great selection and our entress were flavorful - I am looking forward to returning
we love piolas- in our neighborhood and love love the outside!!!
food yummy as are the drinks
THANK you piolas!!!
Great outside eating area very romantic
People, food, service, and ambiance are the BEST!🙏
Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. WE will try this again.
Very nice setting. Atmosphere and service were very good. Food Is good slightly above average. Could step up the culinary ladder to make a 5 star
Outside dining was well handled and I felt perfectly safe with very ample social distancing and cleaning measures. Food was excellent, waitstaff was very attentive and it was a very enjoyable fall evening outside. I high recommend it!!
Loved that they can do most pasta dishes with gluten free pasta. Plus, they cooked the GF pasta perfectly. Great outdoor dining space and our server was great.
Delicious food, great atmosphere & quality service! Highly recommended.
Chianti by the glass was the worst possible temperature and taste. Sent back. Sauce very heavy (lot's of cream).
Piola is our favorite restaurant to dine in Fort Worth. Whether it's date night or family night out. The food is always excellent and the service is top notch.
Amazing ambiance and food selection. Server was knowledgeable about the menu and very quick with the service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to a friend.
The starter of Giant Calamari was not interesting. It had lots of fried batter on long strips of squid that was difficult to find and tasteless. However, the sauce was good. The crab cakes were average at best. Then what ruined the evening was the arrival of our main plates when we were only halfway finished our starters. Our meal cooled as appetizers were eaten. Main courses were good but their early arrival tainted the experience at Piola. Previous meals there had been enjoyable. This may have been an anomaly but it will be some time before I return there.
My husband said it was the best lasagna that he had ever eaten. Lots of meat and cheese and a reasonable amount of noodles.
Our first time but not our last.
Loved the patio seating. Especially during this time to distance. We had a great experience.
Our first time. The misto salad was wonderful and the chicken picatta was light and flavorful with big fat capers (to be honest, the capers are the only reason to eat ANY picatta). My partner made a meal of appetizers, and the giant calamari and the crab cakes were outstanding. The calimari was prepared in a way he'd never seen before: fried crispy with sweet chili sauce as the dip instead of marinara. We had not anticipated dessert because the online menu just listed the usual high fat suspects such as creme brule and cheesecake. But the had an off-menu choice of lemon sorbet, and it was light and lovely. I want to come back and check out the house lasagna. The only thing that blemished our visit was the crowded entry where we could not socially distance from those entering without wearing masks.
Situated within the confines of a 1920’s-30’s era home directly across the street from the UNT health sciences complex it’s easy to miss. Park in the Univeristy lot directly across the street behind the posted signs we missed, this being our first visit. Waitstaff was attentive but not overly so. Food was excellent - from antipasto to main course. We saved room for the chocolate Grenache. Wine selection is solid. We went with the Brunello to celebrate our 32 anniversary and our “in progress” move to Ft Worth. We dined outside for pandemic reasons. They could have done a bit more Mosquito eradication in the patio, but as we are new here we will withhold judgement and bring our own “supplies” next time just in case. Well worth the visit! Will become one of our regular haunts.
We to Piola for my birthday with two other couples. We all had a great meal and the ambiance is so nice in a quaint setting. Loved that we could all hear each other and it wasn’t noisy.
Bobby, the owner, is wonderful and very attentive and appreciative of all of his patrons. The food is good and they have nice wines. The wait staff is very nice but not always very experienced and knowledgeable. The indoor dining is nice and the patio is spread out, comfortable and shaded but not special.
A very pleasant experience for our 52 anniversary.
Charming atmosphere with great food! Priced well with excellent service! It has been a while since I enjoyed Italian food as much as this!
We enjoyed the evening. The service was very good.
The ambiance was excellent and the food was phenomenal! Looking forward to eating here again!
Food was great and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly. We will be back!
We celebrated our anniversary here and we absolutely loved it!! The food and service were absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere is beautiful as well. We will travel back to Ft Worth just to eat here again. Thank you Piola for a wonderful 23rd anniversary experience.
