The food and service were both 5 Star!
Exceptional food and wine. Good service. Also great spot for special occasions.
Wonderful! The Food and Service were great and we can't wait to come back! !
As before the food was divine. Praise ends there unfortunately. To enjoy the exceptionally pleasant weather we sat outside; the patio has nice bones but gives a bit of a garage vibe (very different than the interior). The effort at cocktails was quite average, mine arrived in a small dollar store version found at BYOB establishments). Worst of all - BIG service gaps extending our dinner by about 20 minutes! Disappointing.
Fantastic hidden gem! Totally would recommend!
Piola NEVER disappoints!
We were seated promptly but had to ask for menus after 15 minutes! Once that was done however, the service was good. Snapper special was very tasty but perhaps a bit overpriced. No complaints from dining partners. Overall remains a solid place to dine in Fort Worth after all these years.
We came to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We decided to eat outside on the patio since it had just rained and was cool outside. The service at the beginning was good. We got our wine promptly and our order was taken. After our food was delivered service went downhill. I ordered a glass of wine to go with dinner that was brought out after my food. A fly flew in my full glass of wine (did I mention the flies were horrible?) and the waitress never came back for me to tell her. I finally asked another waiter to let her know about my fly. She never came. We finally asked another gentleman (I think a manager) if he could send her over. We were finished with dinner which was wonderful, and the other waiter brought our ticket for the meal. She finally showed up after all was said and done and did give us more water. Finally. I’m not sure if she was busy with tables on the inside or what. Nothing was ever explained. I know restaurants are slammed right now but if that were explained it might have helped. Like I said the food was good but the dinner was not enjoyable not having any service.
Overall the food was good except for the Scampi. Instead of the usual sauce, it seemed more like chicken soup but wasn’t served with a soup spoon. Very disappointing. The best food was the watermelon salad. Our first visit but doubt we’d return.
Owner is always A+ and our past experience was good but this time we arrived for 8:15 reservation, seated on the patio as requested. Waitress was harried and not particularly friendly. We ordered drinks and apps while we waited for one person in our party to arrive. Then we were told we had to order ASAP because kitchen closes in10 min (at 9) Food was just ok, eggplant parm was super tough (undercooked?) and the fish in the special had to be subbed out at the last minute and it was mediocre. We were celebrating our anniversary with our adult children from out of town and it was a disappointing experience
Enjoyed our meal. Very good as always. Everyone is friendly and personable.
The food was excellent and the wait staff was very friendly and gave us outstanding recommendations. Unfortunately we were seated next to a very loud table which made it extremely difficult for us, a party of 3, to carry on a conversation. I would have rated them 5 stars overall, IF we could have conversed easily with each other. Unable to do so, make the meal and the evening less enjoyable that what we wanted.
Wonderful outdoor seating! The food was delicious and there were many wine options!
Lovely dining experience on the patio (tho fans were a bit loud). The food was excellent and the service equally so. Great find for out-of-towners looking for a more refined experience.
Excellent! Real Italian food!
Great food and service, overhead fans were a little noisy but not bad.
Great ambiance - very relaxing, beautiful table settings. Solid service. Fish special was very good; lasagna - one of their best sellers - was not my favorite. Respectable selection of wines. Nice option for an evening of food and conversation with your spouse.
We love dining here... service spectacular, food delicious... a family favorite!
We dined at Piola’s on a surprisingly busy Monday evening. We were not greeted immediately upon arrival or even acknowledged by the person at the entrance, but someone quickly came from the dining room and showed us to our table. Our server was very friendly and familiar with the menu and specials. Only snafu, our martinis came out with olives instead of the lemon twists we had requested. That was remedied fairly quickly, and the rest of the evening was fine. My husband ordered the black cod special and I had an Italian selection off the regular menu. Both dishes were delicious!
There were flies buzzing around everywhere, portions are tiny, bathroom didn’t work. It was not worth the money we spent.
First time there, great place to be a bit fancy. Inside is small so it was a bit warm but they have nice outside seating too.
Food was very good and the service was also good. Noise level was pretty high as we had a birthday group of 10 close by.
Great place for date night! Giant calamari was a treat. Nice service too.
Excellent family run restaurant. Very friendly and great food.
We loved the ambiance of the restaurant!
Sitting close to the water display outdoors is kind of distracting and interferes with conversation, particularly if you are hearing impaired. Recommend sitting as far away as possible from this distraction if you choose outdoor dining. Inside dining is perfect. Quiet and comfortable.
You cannot go wrong with Piola! The mome
Never disappoints...always an amazing meal. Love that the owner is always present, working alongside his staff. He will make great wine selections for you too.
Everything about this restaurant is perfection!
Wonderful service, great tasting food, cute outdoor dining area
It was excellent!
Perfect spot for a special Mother's day meal! Food was amazing, highly recommend.
This place is a hidden gem. Outstanding food and service...usually. Server was not friendly at all but did her job...took order and brought food.
This is one of our "go-to" restaurants on a regular basis. The outdoor patio is fantastic! We highly recommend this for food and atmosphere. Donna and Bobby are phenomenal!
We celebrated Morher’s Day at Piola. Can’t wait to go back.
The service was sub par (our waitress kept disappearing). The pictures that you find online of the food are all doctored versions from the owner. She must have gone in the kitchen and made sure with her chef they were picture quality. My husband was supposed to have chicken in his dish and all he got was literally 1 bite of chicken. The owner didn’t care and neither did the waiter. Also they get their daily specials at different times of the day so if you go before 6pm for dinner you probably won’t be offered them. Well we have a 1 year so early dinners for us. I don’t know how they get away with what they are doing. This would be a place for me to intentionally tell people NOT to go to. I’m sure Ft Worth has much better options.
Love the place! Excellent food. Service could’ve been a bit better.
We have been to the restaurant several times before on visits to forth worth and loved it. I booked this reservation 6 weeks prior to my daughters graduation. They clearly were very busy and had other reservations after ours but the service felt rude and rushed. We were a table of 7 and wanted to visit a bit. I asked for a few minutes to decide on what we wanted and they just came back and said i need to get your order. I understand the need not to tie up a table on a busy weekend but our table was out the door in an hour and 20 minutes I would have been more understanding if anyone would have greeted us with a smile or any pleasantries
In the end everyone’s food was mediocre and very very small portions.
We dined inside where the ambiance was lovely. The dedication of the owners there was clear.
