I booked through OpenTable for a lunch appointment, business meeting. I received a Text message asking me to confirm my appointment, which I did. Unfortunately when I arrived the restaurant was closed for a private party. Imagine my surprise and how stupid I looked to my business associates. We had to leave and find another place for our lunch business meeting. We wound up eating at Nando‘s Peri Peri right down the road. Needless to say I was very upset that I was allowed to book lunch, asked for a confirmation, confirmed, and then arrive to find the restaurant was closed for a special engagement!
I have eaten at this restaurant many times in the past and have always been satisfied with the food, service, and noise level. Unfortunately the ball was really dropped in this case.
A big thanks to our waiter from Argentina who made our experience dining here very pleasant.
I recommend Pinzimini. The Easter Brunch was wonderful. We came after the crowds and it was as if we were the first to arrive - food was fresh well prepared and presented. The choices were many.
Good food, reasonably priced. Comfortable chairs. The restaurant is a little dark on the inside. Perhaps open the windows more.
Disappointing dinner. Pre fixe dinner only option. Had to ask for water and bread refills and felt rushed. Nor were we offered beverages/drink menu.
Staff only had one to go box. We had three meals to pack. Kitchen also ran out of dessert most of the table had ordered.
Food was fine but too many drawbacks.
Great place for business planning meeting
The salmon was delicious, but my colleague got a panini, and it was dry and tasteless. Expensive.
My (adult) daughters and I decided to enjoy a simple breakfast buffet on Mother's Day. the price was right ($16++) - which included beverages! (We didn't want to pay 3x the $ for the more lavish special buffet which was to start at 11 a.m. , plus we had plans to go to a DC museum.) There were plenty of tables available, so the Open Table reservation wasn't necessary.
I was quite disappointed in the buffet. Nearly the entire time we were there, there were no bowls for the cereal - I had to ask two staff members for bowls, then still waited for about 10 minutes before they ret'd with six bowls. That's it.
Croissants were not just stale, they actually made a loud, dull "crunch" sound as I tried to break off a piece! The waffles were soggy and lukewarm - almost cold. I tried sending them through the toaster and that helped. Warm syrup was a nice touch. the pancakes were better, I think. Scrambled eggs were dry, not fluffy.
Fruit included melons and pineapple - that's it. No berries at all.
The price was right, but I'm in no hurry to return.
If you go, do remember to get your parking valet ticket validated -- it wipes off the $12 parking fee!
Attended Easter Brunch at this restaurant with a large group. The food was just okay and the service was poor. It took forever to get coffee, juice and water and refills were impossible. Plus, the management seemed overwhelmed. We had more attendees than expected and were told an extra table would be provided to accommodate our larger than expected group. This never happened and some of our party had to eat at the bar. We will not dine here again.
We were there for Easter brunch. They had a great selection of breakfast items--omelet station, waffle station, bacon/sausage on buffet, assorted breakfast breads and cakes and fruit. Huge shrimp that they kept refilled. The eggs "Benedict" were different, not hollandaise sauce. Good but tepid. Excellent salmon on a DELICIOUS risotto. Mimosas were very good. my only complaint was about the service. It was hard to get water refilled or get a hot tea. I think they were understaffed.

Good choice for convenience to the Westin Arlington. Food was well prepared. A bit bland and not a lot of selection. Mango slices in a Caprese salad was a bit unusual for me. Wine offerings by the glass were very nice.
I walk by Pinzimini on my way to work and always thought the décor understated but interesting, streamlined contemporary. It was summer, a Friday night in August, so was very quiet, only a few parties seated. But the food was very good for a hotel restaurant, and the service sincere, attentive, and accommodating. We like hotel restaurants and bars for some reason, and we would return here for a quite dinner on another Friday night, a good place to let the cacophony of the week slip slightly farther away with each sip of wine...
We met at Pinzimini for a business lunch. The food was plentiful and reasonably priced. The service was good as well.
I was there for a business trip and decided to get a quick bite to eat. The place was very quiet, did not have too many people. I ordered the Insalata Caprese as a starter. The dish was very bland, tomato didn't taste too fresh and mozzarella cheese was mushed. I also had the Branzino Alla Griglia. The fish was cooked fine. However, it was sitting on top of a huge "blob" of tasteless polenta. There were so much polenta and it was such a huge chunk and dry.
Their food presentation could definitely use some help and so were their staff. I was told that the fish will need 30 minutes to prepare, which I was fine with that. Then it came out 2 minutes after the appetizer, which I had literally had one bite and they need to take it back to the kitchen. That caused the food to be cold but the plate was piping hot when it came out the second time. When the staff (not the server) delivered the appetizer, he has a pen in his hand next to the plate, I was glad that did not poke me when he put down the plate.
It's rather disappointing for the whole dining experience there; unlike most other restaurants I've been to in the SPG hotels.
The restaurant seems to have limited their menu and no longer offer some of the pasta or meat options offer before. My last visit was pleasurable, but the food was simply adequate.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this place was such a let down. I guess I expected more from this restaurant because it's part of The Westin. We started off with their cheese plate (three Italian cheeses) and when I asked what kind of cheese, the server couldn't tell me but we were fine with that because we love cheese! Wrong. It was the saddest cheese plate ever. For our main course, we decided to split a pizza and share a side of
gorgonzola mashed potatoes. The pizza tasted like it came straight from the freezer. When the mashed potatoes came out, we were confused if the gorgonzola was already mixed in or not because we couldn't taste it. Asked the server about it so he brought out a side of BLUE cheese...I'm sorry but I will never come here again.
Bon choix de pizza et salades. Risotto un peu fade. Un peu cher. Service impeccable.
Finally, a healthy and delicious breakfast restaurant for someone picky like me. I will be back!

We decided try a place where a lot people wouldn't be at on Valentines Day. We took a risk to a place we have never been before. It worked out well the food and the setting was great.
Went to this restaurant on a Friday for lunch and there were very few people dining. Despite this fact, the service was very slow, it took forever for the food to be served and when it arrived at our table it was not hot. Let's just say, the plate was hotter than the food. This is my second unpleasant experience at this restaurant this summer. I won't be returning.

Went for lunch on Saturday. First, menu on Opentable has nothing to do with their menu (they are aware of this ...since June 2014!). Food was ok nothing special (menu includes: soups, sandwiches, and flatbread).
We went with my in-laws. The food was fine but the service was awful. It was empty - the food took over an hour to come out. We had to remind the waiter about our soups etc. a few times. I think he honestly forgot about the food. We won't be back even though I live around the corner.
Service is always impecable. Food is great and tables are spaced far enough apart to have a private conversation. This has been my go to place for lunch with clients.
Met a client for dinner. The waiter was very attentive and atmosphere was very nice but unfortunately the food was very plain and lacked flavor. Fish was way over cooked, soup lacked seasoning and I couldn't even finish dessert because it was so bad. The restuarnant was only 30% full, which should have been a clue for me to leave.
I found the restaurant and reviews on Open Table sounded good but I didn't know it was in a hotel until I got there. I don't like to dine in hotels but had the food and service been great I would advise as such . The waiter didn't speak English well and was the only waiter for the entire dining room. After I ordered a glass of wine and a few minutes later my salad came but no wine. I had to flag down the one waiter ask again for my wine. He never asked me if I wanted to order a main course and I had to flag him down again and waited a good 15 minutes to order, was finished with my salad by the time I ordered my main and waited about 30 minutes for that. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Also, it is an "Italian restaurant" with a very small number of menu choices.
We chose the restaurant for the menu sounded unique but delicious. We had an amazing dinner and the service was excellent. We would be happy to return the next time we are in Atlington!
The Pinzimini is my favorite neighborhood restaurant, a 15-minute walk from my home. On a sunny Sunday morning with a hint of fall in the air, I savored the experience. Dining alone on the patio, I enjoyed farm fresh eggs, sausage links, breakfast potatoes, and warm butter with sourdough toast. I used to take my dad to the the Pinzimini for breakfast or brunch about twice monthly, so I am greeted as a friend when I enter. We would dine in the sun room or out on the patio in solitude. The deliciousness of this meal, the soothing and relaxing ambience out on the patio, the scenic, relaxing walk to and from home, and the personal service that I receive remind me that I should stop by more often.
The food, wine list and service were awesome and we dined with friends from out of town. And the dessert selections were to die for. Will be back soon.
The place has the right atmosphere to be great. The menus is good. But, the food leaves a bit to be desired. I ordered the Stozzapreti Gamberi. The key ingredients pine nuts and fennel listed on menu were nowhere on my plate!
Underwhelmed by the portion size for the price of my roast chicken lunch.
I go there all the time for lunch meetings because the tables are spread out nicely, giving you privacy. They have a great soud/salad/sandwich combo for a very reasonable price which I love. I believe they offer free valet parking for their restaurant as well. It's not typically very busy, so if you go on a randomly busy day you'll run into service problems because they're generally not staffed for that.
Four of us went and had a reservation for Mother's Day. No one was at the podium to receive us and I finally flagged someone down. They seemed busy but the restaurant was not full. Once seated we had to flag down someone to wait on us. Once we had our waiter all went well and the buffet was delicious, with a continental flair. A nice touch was when they delivered a cut rose to both me and my mother.
Pricing was reasonable too.
Would go again and definitely try dinner.
Service and cuisine have slipped remarkably since last visit and is clearly reflected in the nearly empty restaurant! I was very disappointed and probably will not return anytime soon! Hopefully the lack of customers will force management to address the myriad of problems with this establishment before this one time hidden gem goes under for the third time! (Note: Service in a nearly empty restaurant should not be this spotty. No way should it have taken 15 minutes for someone to take an order with (counted them!) four seated patrons at only two tables!!)
