Pinzimini provides the guest with an experience of dining in a modern, energetic atmosphere while enjoying a menu featuring a variety of high-quality grilled meats, exceptional salads, and simple pastas containing accents of Tuscan-style cuisine. All meals begin with our signature Pinzimini Bread Service and Chef's amuse, which is an old Italian ritual where extra virgin olive oil is infused with rosemary, sage, oregano, garlic and/or sea salt, and is served with fresh, crusty bread for dipping.

Pinzimini at The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa Ratings and Reviews
Amazing food! However....Had a reservation at 830 got seated quickly only it had to be at a high top table right in the busy lane of food servers and where others walked up to the tables. Not very romantic at all let alone peaceful in any sense of the word. Have more quiet at red Robin. Better to seat there with friends hanging out. Otherwise we would have had to wait another hour to be seated somewhere better. We didn't have time, as we we're going to a concert in 2 hours. We just made it too. We sat at 830 and finally got our desert at 10. Service was just okay. Ordered 2 drinks plus an ice tea. Never asked us if we wanted another drink and never even got the ice tea. Cheese plate was not good. But as I started with....food was amazing!!!
Service was not good. Food was fine, but should have had a better menu for Christmas. Bartenders didn’t care and it seemed like we were just another person on Christmas Day even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Nice property, but get your act together.
Our first time to Pinzimini. It was the Christmas Day dinner buffet. Don't always have high expectations for the food quality on a hotel restaurant buffet and this was about what we expected, but the value was there. The space of the restaurant is very nice. I could see coming back and trying the main menu sometime. Service was mediocre that night, but with buffets, service is a lot less organized typically. Hard to judge too much on this holiday as it is more out of the norm.
I have had many dinners @ this restaurant before. My meat was very tough and not edible. I had given my steak to my Mother and I didn’t touch my dinner. Dessert was super sweet too. Dinner was discounted because of my dinner but they should have comped my meal as that’s the right thing to do.
Had a great time at Pinzimini. The staff was attentive and courteous and recognized is as return visitors. The chef also prepared a special tasting plate for us as a thank you for booking through OpenTable.
The food was great. Entree sizing was generous. My scallops had just the right amount of sear to give it a good texture without being over/under cooked.
Looking forward to returning again when I am visiting Palm Springs.
Perhaps the most dreadful meal ever attempted at a well-known hotel... Pleasant staff, the food is pathetically bad and very institutional. The chef has been there for 25 years, we were told. Well, something's very wrong here.
First to arrive is a tasting from the kitchen - an amusé bouche (to amuse the mouth). We weren't amused. Gloppy risotto with a prawn and some bitter tomato sauce, a fabulous imitation of bad airline food. It was a hot mess.
The lettuce on the Caesar Salad was dry and had brown marks where cut, meaning it wasn't freshly prepared. It was old lettuce. Nice. Not so much...
This is an "Italian" restaurant. The Chicken Parmesan was dry, the cheese on top re-hardened to a blob of something, the vegetables on the side were from a hot table, very overcooked and mushy. Two bites of the chicken and the diner said it was inedible, dry, unpleasant.
The Papardella with Bolognese sauce took the cake - it was presented with a wad of wide noodles which mostly stuck to each other. The meat sauce was gross - puddles of water amongst the finely ground meat and some flakes of tomato, no amalgamation of the ingredients into a sauce, it had separated, not cooked with some milk - a hallmark of a Bolognese - it had a funny after taste, rather odd, institutional. Three bites of this dish and the diner said I can't do it anymore, I'm not eating this.
The third diner enjoyed her Osso Bucco. The other two basically had nothing to eat, they left without eating dinner.
The Westin really needs to up their game here. This is amazingly bad hotel food at a "Resort". We felt sorry for the guests who come to this pretty hotel and must accept this poor quality of food or leave the property. We suggest the latter...
What can you say about a restaurant that brings a fabulous shrimp appetizer "on the house" to thank us for booking with Open Table. This was a first.
The whole Branzino was perfect and the spaghetti with meatballs was outstanding.
We started at happy hour and had amazing Poke too.
Pinzimini dining experience was fabulous. The food was outstanding especially the osso bucco and sea scallops. Desert was not only delicious but had a unique artistic presentation (chocolate lava cake). Our server was very attentive and provided great service. Great wine and drink selections as well. This place is however quite pricey but we enjoyed it nonetheless.
This is our third visit to Pinzimini’s. This time we brought a friend from San Francisco. All of us ordered the Branzino. Our friend is used to great food and excellent restaurants, however he was impressed with the fish and also the ambiance. We were told that this restaurant is the only one in Coachella Valley that serves a whole fish. The Branzino is to die for. We will be back and hope that this dish remains on the menu.
We had a 4 day stay at the Westin Mission Hills. We ate at the Pinzimini for 2 dinners and 1 breakfast. Every time we were greeted with friendly smiles, and a great balance of explanation of the menu and helpful hints as to what to choose. Coming from Canada, we always appreciate the quality of service offered at this resort and restaurant.
Also a special mention to our server on the night of the 12th. She was very charming, and in particularly helped the 3 kids at our table to pick a nutritious and delicious meal. No problem splitting a dish and all done with a smile. And to top it off, she very kindly called our room after we left to let my wife know that she had picked up (my wife's) phone which was left at the table. Everyone knows what a disaster a lost phone can be. So - my wife was super grateful for our server's kind actions in getting the phone back to her.
We look forward to next time - same time next year!
My wife and I went to Pinzimini for a date night while staying at Westin in Rancho Mirage. We were seated on their outdoor patio which is surrounded by beautiful water features. Their seasonal menu and wine list had fairly minimal offerings Our server, who’s name I can’t recall, was extremely welcoming and a knowledgeable foodie. Her wine pairing suggestions were perfect! We started with their delicious Gorgonzola stuffed figs and a glass of Pessimist I ordered the sea bass as my main entree and my wife enjoyed the salmon. Both dishes had creative preparations with fresh seasonal herbs and vegetables. The food and wine were better than expected for a resort restaurant. Compliments to the chef! We highly recommend Pinzimini to anyone living or staying in the desert area and will definitely be returning to sample some other dishes.
This was our second visit to Pinzimini‘s. We ordered the Brazino fish again. There‘s no other restaurant in the Coachella Valley that serves this fish. It‘s absolutely delicious and fresh. The wine was excellent as well. We‘ll definitely return to the restaurant.
They were very accommodating. When we arrived, we asked them to switch us to an outdoor table. Luckily, it wasn't super crowded and they were able to switch us outside right away. Then three people in our group didn't realize that we had already sat and thought we just hadn't come and sat at their own table. Although they'd already ordered, the wait staff moved them over and were very nice about the whole thing. It was so beautiful sitting outside in the heat!
The food was not creative for the price. The coq au vin was dry and not very classical. The chef used a whole chicken breast which was not simmered for hours in the sauce and the sauce was more tomato based than a classic wine infused one. It appeared that sausage was used instead of pancetta. We also had a pasta dish which was adequate but not outstanding. The service was excellent and the facility attractive.
The food was much better than we anticipated. Sometimes when you stay on property at resorts the food isn't as amazing as it appears on the website, in this case it far exceeded our expectations! The flavors were creative and blended together deliciously. What truly made this experience tremendous though was the service. Every single person was warm and welcoming from the host, to the food runners to the server. They even sent out a special course from the chef because we booked through OpenTable, which was a first for us! Our server was so thoughtful and friendly, we had a long conversation with her even after we finished because she was so lovely. The perfect setting for a resort dinner date! Bravo!
It was a very pleasant experience. Since the moment my husband and I walked in we felt the great ambiance. The greeter was amazing with such a great attitude I believe her name was Kimberly. As well as our server, Fatima she was great. The service was excellent. I had the chilaquiles and my husband had the egg white omelette. DELICIOUS FOOD! AMAZING SERVICE. GREAT RESTAURANT!
Excellent staff and service focused on making our evening special.
Food was good; we had the calimari, minestrone and veal osso bocco and the bourbon and vanilla french toast with coffee and an espesso. Wine and cocktails were very good.
Will recommend Pinzimini to friends and family.
Without a doubt, THE BEST food in the entire valley!! There's a reason why the chef is a James Beard winner!! The food is always 5 stars, the service is top notch as well. There are many very good restaurants in the Coachella Valley, however Pinzimini stands alone at the top!
Have been dining and staying at the hotel for years. Delicious food..amazing service! Angel has been our favorite server and would definitely suggest requesting him! Marcos the bartender is also phenomenal! The brunch/breakfast staff are all so attentive and friendly.
One of the best restaurants in the Desert. One of the great attributes besides the delicious meals is the attentive staff. The host, Dominic, is one of the most professional hosts I've encountered. The awesome servers consistently provide stellar service!! We've never been disappointed by the food or the service!!
We decided to try Pinzimini's before attending the Palm Springs Street Fair since it's on the way. We checked the menu from home and decided on the whole fish they offer as one of their dishes. It's not easy finding this type of fish in restaurants. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the fish out of this world. The service couldn't have been any better and the Pinot Noir was excellent as well. We never felt rushed or "neglected". We'll definitely go back and most probably for the fish and wonderfully cooked vegetables.
