The food was great! Service was excellent. Tomato soup was beyond delicious.
Spinach pasta is fabulous as are the kale chips! Great service!
Great food and excellent service in a wonderful outdoor setting at the Westin Mission Hills resort.
We didn't stay at the Westin hotel, but we were there for lunch. Lunch was very good. The food was all very good (there were 5 of us). Try the Volcano pizza! The cost was higher than a typical lunch-out, but not unreasonable for a hotel. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We would dine there again if in the area.
Great food! Great service! My favorite is the spinach pasta!
We very much enjoyed our meal, service and view. We dined from the early bird menu and thought it a great value. Our drinks were delicious also. Our waiter was personable and efficient. This was one of the most enjoyable meals during our week in Palm Springs.
The restaurant was lovely but service was slow, did not like our pasta at all nor was it as described in the menu. It said sun dried tomatoes and the tomatoes were fresh tomatoes the butter sauce was more of a tomatoe sauce and the shrimp was fishy and not quite done. we ate a few bites and left the rest dessert was just okay. On a positive note, the buffalo mozzarella appetizer with fig jam was fantastic.
Love this restaurant! Food never disappoints! Easy PEZ as we are Villa owners!
Pizza is great. Lasagna was excellent. Service was a little slow. Prices are not out of line for a resort for dinner or lunch. Breakfast is far to expensive.
After a long day of travel, my wife and I were looking forward to a delicious dinner before calling it a night. We were not disappointed. We split a Burrata and Prosciutto salad, then, split the rack of lamb. The salad was very good, and the lamb was cooked to perfection. But what made the evening special was the delightful service from our server, Isabella. She is attentive, personable, learns what her guests like, and makes appropriate recommendations. Most importantly though, she seems to genuinely enjoy her job.
Beautiful architecture, very attentive and knowledgeable service, good and reasonably priced wine list, but the food was mixed. Our party of 4 tried 2 main courses and one was good (chicken parmesan) and one was very disapointing (paparadelle with spinach and shrimp). We won't be going back.
This was our second time visiting Pinzimini and it was as exceptional as expected. We had booked our table online and were rewarded with a scrumptious appetizer because of that: Tiger shrimp with ossobuco and greens. Mmmmmm. Our waitress was exceptional with her timing, knowledge of the food and beverages and our food was delightful. No wonder the place was packed full with happy people and we will definitely be back.
Great service, nice outdoor patio with heaters, very good food in a casual friendly atmosphere.
My wife, I and neighbors enjoyed an evening of dinning at this fine Resturant.
Our server, Isabella, was The consummate professional and exceeded our desires for advice and service
Would recommend and will certainly enjoy dinning there agai
Would not recommend
Our waitress was the best and they gave us a special appetizer as we had scheduled through Open Table!
Food was exceptional quality and quantity was generous. Service was perfect and personnel was friendly and professional.
Food was expensive and not very high quality for the price. Very mediocre but expensive meal. Cocktails were very weak and tasted water down. Would not recommend.
We were looking for an authentic Italian menu. The dishes we selected (lasagne and chicken parmesan) were too hot due to the spice used, and the soup was missing fava beans and kale as printed on their menu.
Nice place to go relax and have a delicious meal!
Just bad food
They do a very good job. We have been there 2 times in the last week, and enjoyed it. Thank You
Staff was really friendly. Food was excellent. Very pleasant.
Excellent food and service, surprised by the fact that it was a hotel restaurant
We weren't seated until 20 minutes after our reservation time. Then we waited another 25 minutes before a waiter came to take our cocktail and entree order. Seems to be too lightly staffed for preparing and servicing tables.
New Years Eve and also our Wedding Anniversary
Generally the food was very good. The Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful setting on the patio.
Look, folks, let's not forget that this is a restaurant in a hotel - a resort hotel, yes, but still a hotel. So the restaurant and food are not its top priority. And it's probably not the top priority of the people staying there either. The restaurant setting is big (it's not cozy and intimate, if that's what you're after) and beautiful. The service was excellent. But the food was nothing spectacular. I had the spaghetti and meat balls, but didn't finish it. It was fine, but wouldn't have it again. My wife had the Spinach Pappardelle, which was a bit on the bland side. Overall, the experience was, as you would expect, dining in a big fancy hotel restaurant. Everything was well done, but it's not the same feeling as a smaller restaurant that's focused only on the restaurant. Hope that makes sense.
Went for Christmas dinner buffet, Prime Rib overcooked, salads were sad, very little selection, deserts unappealing, no turkey, dry chicken, shrimp was plentiful and fresh though. Bummed
It is not easy to find a restaurant open on Christmas, except for in hotels and casinos. We liked the idea of a buffet menu at this hotel restaurant. We had a 6:15 reservation. A representative called a few days ahead to inquire if we preferred a table inside or outside. We chose inside because it would be warmer. We arrived on time and were told it would be 45 minutes for an inside table unless we would take a high top in the bar area. I have a bad leg and that was not appealing to me at all, but I did not want to wait 45 min. It is not how I envisioned spending Christmas, at a high top in a bar!!..The food was ok, but not great for a Christmas dinner. The carving station for beef did have good beef. The pasta of noodles and olive oil did not offer any Parmesan cheese. Bad. The chocolate strawberries for desert was the best part of the dinner. The pumpkin pie was the worst I ever had. How can you ruin pumpkin pie? Towards the end of the dinner, we learned that we could have ordered from a limited menu that did have some good selections on it. When we were seated we were handed the buffet menu, and not told about the limited menu. I have been to a wine tasting dinner at Pinzimini's that was good. But based the bad experience on Christmas, we probably will not return even for a wine tasting dinner. Sad. But the service was outstanding!
Food was great. Service was outstanding. Can't go wrong
Very poor service. Very poor selection for a Christmas buffet. Very expensive for value received. Very disappointing.
Christmas ‘Brunch’ was a $60pp rip-off. Food was very unmemorable, service was indifferent, food stations were slow, and all the while kids running around. Even the coffee was blah.
Went for Christmas Brunch and left with much to be desired. The service was mediocre and the food was quite bland. There was a nice variety, and the scenery was beautiful outside, but it was not worth the price.
The food was mediocre, but my primary complaint is that I made breakfast reservations for Christmas morning for my family, including an elderly aunt and uncle, and confirmed by phone that we could order breakfast before the brunch began. When we arrived we were seated and given menus, but then they came and said that the brunch buffet was ready and literally took our menus away. So I ended up paying $55 per person for a brunch that none of us wanted, including having to assist my aunt through the brunch line. My fault for not making a scene in front of my aunt and the other Christmas customers, but after confirming by telephone I should not have been put in that position.
They offered a special appetizer for reserving through open table.
We have stayed at this resort many times, and eaten here, for convenience sake, on each stay. Each visit has been progressively worse.
There is nothing like making a reservation, arriving to an empty restaurant, and then being shown to THE worst table in the place, right next to the bus boy station. Then the waitress giving you attitude when you refuse to sit at it.
It would appear the place is struggling to stay open, and this can be borne out by the significantly pared down menu, from only two months ago, which is now presented on a sheet of photocopier paper. I chose the sea bass, and I can honestly say it was the most pathetic excuse for a piece of sea bass that I have ever seen, if it was even sea bass. There was no starch to accompany it, and it sat on a bed of pickled grapes and rutabaga. I can't be sure, but I think my partner's chicken parm came via Marie Callender's frozen offerings.
The saving grace - the bartender makes a good cocktail, but, even they are slow to arrive at the table.
It is a pity. The place is modern and nicely designed. It should be the place to be on a Friday evening.
From start to finish, our experience at Pinzimini exceeded our expectations. The server brought an amuse bouche of a stuffed fig that was outstanding. The home-made sour dough bread that followed was great. My wife has the chicken which was exceptionally flavorful (I finished what she could not eat). I had the Pasta Vongole which again was outstanding. I highly recommend Pinzimini. P.S. we dined before going to the Grooves at the Westin Mission Hills to see some fabulous jazz performers. I am not a jazz fan, at least I wasn't before that evening. The performances were out of this world!!!!
