Second time back and really great again. Loved our table. LOVED the service. Loved the food, especially for the value. Will continue to come. Its casual yet beautiful setting out on the patio, with birds chirping and lovely waterfalls and palm trees. And food delivery is paced very nicely so it feels like an experience and not just a short visit to get rid of your hunger.
Highly recommend the stuffed dates with bacon, yum! Salmon there is awesome too. And best Tiramisu I've ever eaten.
My wife and I enjoyed a nice dinner and was provided very good service! I recommend this restaurant!
69.00 dollars a person? Really not worth it ... at all.
Experience was great. Wait staff very friendly and helpful. Will go back again.
Easter Brunch
My wife and I ate there last year and it was wonderful! This year only so so. My lasagna was okay, but my wife’s fish had a fishy taste and did not seem to be fresh. Our Caesar salad was also not fresh. Our waiter seemed very busy and preoccupied with other things. He ignored my wife’s comments on the fish and just handed us the check! Never asked if we wanted coffee or desert. Very disappointing as this was our last night on property after a two week stay. The Westin is usually great, I’m not sure what was going on that night!
Service, food was great. Very surprised that the price was not much higher. One of the best Italian restaurants we’ve ever enjoyed.
Noise level was very high and almost impossible to hold a conversation. Service was very slow to the point of having to get up and look for the waitress to ask for our bill after waiting for almost 10 minutes for our waitress. Lasagna was very good but the spaghetti & meatballs was just plain in flavor. Overall the lack of prompt service made the entire dining experience regrettable.
Pinzimini is a convenient restaurant
if you are a guest at either the Westin Villas or the hotel.
Service was excellent. The server could not have been more accommodating, as he moved the heat lamp in several places to maximize our comfort. When he served us a complementary pepperoni crostini and we said we did not eat meat, he asked us many questions so he would bring the right amouse bouche.
Warm sourdough was so good we asked for seconds. The minestrone soup was excellent, full of vegetables and with a nice kick to it. My husband’s branzino tasted as good as it looked, with lots of roasted vegetables and rice on the plate. My quinoa salad was full of lovely berries, almonds and the date dressing hit the spot. It was my main course but I still had lunch from the leftovers the next day.
No dessert for us.
Good value for excellent meal.
MS in Montclair
This was my second time dining here in a week. The food was good, but not great. Liked the special perks for open table members. We constantly had to ask for silverware and I felt like our courses came a little quickly. We also had to wait awhile for our drinks. Overall a beautiful restaurant and property, the food and service just needs a little work.
We came to Pinzimini with my husband for dinner. Very nice service, waitress was professional and friendly. After dinner she brought us complimentary desert, which was such a pleasant end of the dinner. Shrimp and avocado salad was nice, calamaris were delicious. As an entry we ordered pizza, which I didn't like, but I'm not a pizza's fan anyway.
Had a nice menu. Didn't see waiter for ten minutes after we were seated for drinks. We ordered food at same time as drinks due to concern we wouldn't get served in timely manner. Food actually came relatively fast. We sat outside on a cool night and our heater ran out of propane so had to wait 10-15 minutes for tank change. I ordered ribeye which I must say 'looked' good, had nice sauce on (I always wonder why sauce is put on steak if it is a good steak). I could not eat steak, tough to chew, grizzle, the fat was the best part, I left 2/3 of steak. It tasted like a skirt steak to me but server said 'we only make ribeye'. It was the only steak on menu except for the 38 oz. Waygu steak. I'd think if only steak on menu that it would be top shelf. It is rare that I get a BAD steak, I don't know how you can ruin a steak unless it is a bad cut but I swear it was not a ribeye. It was not undercooked as I got it medium. My wife had a pasta dish which she liked. The guy didn't charge for my meal although I tipped him the amount of meal as it wasn't totally his fault for the bad experience.
Just a perfect evening for a date. Beautiful out door patio. Wonderful and tasty food. We both had the Prime Rib special. Fantastic service from the moment we arrived throughout the meal. Elizabeth was a wonderful and knowledgeable waitress.
Totally enjoyed our experience.
We had been half a dozen times before so had expectations. Service was prompt (restaurant was less busy than previous visits) and very professional yet friendly. The food came quickly, including an amuse-bouche we hadn’t expected but enjoyed. The portions were noted to be smaller than on previous visits. Still the best place for a “fancy” meal on the property.
My husband and I ordered the price fixe. The portions were bountiful. Bill ordered the green salad and I ordered the kale chips. We enjoyed our salads and I am definitely adding kale chips to my recipe box. The rosemary bread was delicious as well. Bill selected the salmon entree and I chose the Chicken Parmesan. His salmon was cooked to perfection. My noodles were fresh and my entree also included not one, but two vegetables. I was truly impressed. The chicken was tender and juicy. Needless to say I had enough for lunch the following day. Our dessert was tiramisu. All servings were nicely presented. We had a lovely evening, and we are glad that we chose to eat at Pinzimini’s. We will be back when we return to Rancho Mirage. They have an excellent chef and great staff as well. Bravo!
What a great place to dine at in the desert. Our waiter, Ricardo, could not have been more attentive. Can’t wait to return !!
Our waiter Lance was amazing along with the rest of the staff. The Chef did an amazing job from the homemade pasta to the prime rib special.
Typical hotel restaurant that’s somewhat pricey but with good food and great service
On holiday in the desert, and had read reviews of your place.
Wonderful surprise! From moment we arrived, great service from all staff.
Our waiter Jose, was very welcoming and helpful.
Food was delicious. Piping hot pastas were beautifully prepared.
Food and service wonderful. Staff incredible
This would be our second visit to Pinzimini for dinner in the last few weeks. We sat outside with a large group of friends celebrating two birthdays!! Great food and fabulous service on this visit! On our last visit, we dined with another couple and we were lucky to have the same waiter serve as the first time! Great waiter and the food was yummy, thanks, Lance!
My food was dreadful. It arrived cold and dried out and looked like it had been sitting there for days. I asked her to find out what kind of non-alcoholic drink the bartender could make and report back to me. She brings me a drink without asking me if I would want it so I would feel obligated. Extremely dissapointed but I was treating a friend so didnt want to say anything and ruin the experience
really enjoyed dinning out on the terrace, very pleasant.
Pinzimini is a restaurant that is lovely for outdoor eating.
Nice restaurant, great service. The meals are somewhat overpriced, which is typical to hotel's restaurants. I didn't like roasted beef ribs, wasn't a great meal. I recommend ordering branzino.
Solid food and service. Better than you’d expect from the standard hotel restaurant. Much better ambiance and overall feeling than you’d expect.
Nice! Can’t think of any way it could have been better.
Food delicious especially Valentines menus and surf and turf! However the courses were served much too fast.
We had a wonderful dinner! Great service, super food, really nice ambience!!!
Second time to the restaurant. Just a great as the first. Ambience, food and service is outstanding. Lewis,Maria and the rest of the staff very attentive and accommodating.
You can't beat the atmosphere. Absolutely stunning location. Romantic and wonderful views on patio. Food was good but a bit overpriced. Service was lacking in a lot of ways. No attention to detail. Dirty plates left on table too long, drinks not refilled, and you had to ask for everything, nothing offered or suggested. Will go back for the location, but food and service need a lot more refining.
Food was significantly below expectations. Olive Garden provides a better meal!
Chicken parmigiana was bland, and the spinach tagliatelle was pasty. The Bolognese sauce was virtually tasteless.
The room is big and provides nice table separation. Outdoor patio is inviting. Service was good.
Wonderful surrounding, excellent food, service great. Will return soon
The setting is beautiful. Like large ice cub in mixed drink
Diversified menu! Fair price on wine! Love the pizza and pasta dishes!
brunched here yesterday... mused it would compare even slightly with other westin sunday brunch spots elsewhere, but not even remotely. "buffet" looked dog-tired shortly before noon, but even the offerings were below standard (think "eggs!", "bacon!", "sausages!") steam table eggs benedict looked hours old. skipped the buffet and ordered from menu. 14 dollar menu cocktails prepared incorrectly (flavorless gin fizz; golden gin fiz couldn't even be arranged). abominable service, or rather, lack of it. had to go and wrangle a waiter after waiting 15+ minutes for him to come back. waited 10+ minutes for 3 glasses of water. food arrived and did not look at all appealing. my short rib sandwich (open face) actually looked as though it may have been dropped on the plate, but i speculate). ineffectual roving supervisors glower over tables, never asking how things are. yes, i could have spoken to management, but it's obvious they have no control over this spots many flaws. and it's "resort hotel expensive", to boot. we'd just put an offer on a home in adjacent mission hills country club that morning, and thought to try the hotel's better restaurant to celebrate... well, first try was a no joy experience. at least valet parking is free when dining (validated).
Food was good but a little pricey for the quality. Average Prime Rib special was thinner than I liked. Waiter was non-existent and forgot my horseradish requested. When we arrived on-time for our open table reservation the hostess took a call after greeting us and made us wait to be seated. We were attending a concert and felt it was convenient but not a place I would travel to for Dinner.
Food was OUTSTANDING however the courses were served too fast.
Great restaurant on the Westin Mission Hills property. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. There was a mixture of business people finishing happy hour and villa or hotel guests. The outdoor dining was exceptional. We enjoyed the spaghetti and butcher block meatballs and a volcano pizza- recommend both!
Wonderful restaurant with great food & service! Been many times and had great expierences every time!
