I had really enjoyed this restaurant the first two times I went for a nice get together with a friend. The third time, the service was not as good. It had been stellar the first two occasions. I found this last time that the server was less attentive and not as helpful, which put a bit of a damper on the evening.

We had a lovely evening enjoying a variety of the pintxos (tapas). We chose our items randomly and included several of the evenings specials. All of which we found to be tasty and delicately seasoned.

One of the outstanding dishes of the evening was gazpacho made with strawberries and red peppers. It was a seasonal treat that married well the sweetness of the strawberries and with the more savory taste of the peppers, and, ending with mild but refreshing acidic finish.

Are only reservation was that the portions are small and some of dishes would have benefited by having an extra piece on them, because if you are sharing, it is always easier to divide even numbers by two than odd. Depending on your appetite, plan to order at least to ten pintxos, for two people to share. For desert, I had a poached pair, which was perfectly prepared and served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream and nut crumble.

Food was good, not all dishes great.
Octopus was not described as brined and cold.
Lobster tails were fresh, but had way too much butter.
Portion sizes were good overall, but waiter advised us into ordering much more than required.
2-3 tapas per person is more than enough. Not the 4 recommended.
Ask if dishes are cold or hot.
Expect a long drawn out dinner, with tapas dishes coming in progression, with few in parallel.

We sat outside w/a little rain & a delightful series of pintxos. Memories of San Sebastian, Spain. We never went inside so can't say whether that's as nice - or maybe even better.

The place is very small, but staff was very kind. Prices are quite reasonable. We shared 9 pintxos for 2 persons. Preparation and presentations were very fancy, but most of them were not impressive and some were outright disappointing. Our octopus was overcooked, even burned. For tapas aficionados, I would strongly recommend Taza Flores on du Parc instead.

The food was delicious. I particularly loved the cod omelette. I loved that the place was not too noisy and that the food came out not too quickly and not too slowly - perfect for catching up with friends! I'll definitely go there again.

This was my first visit since the restaurant relocated to new (smaller) premises. They may be smaller, but the food is still excellent and the noise level seems to me to have decreased. The service was both attentive and charming. One cautionary note - the main course offerings are quite large, so the $40 option of four tapas plus a main may be more than you want to eat, especially on a hot night.

I have now had the pleasure of eating at Pintxo on two occasions, the first time a couple of years ago at their former location on Roi and now at the new one on Mont-Royal. I was thrilled with my first visit from every perspective — food, service, ambiance — and I was delighted when my second experience proved no less memorable. The Basque dishes were a real discovery for all of us. The service was attentive and informed, which is to be appreciated especially when the dishes are unfamiliar. What we also liked about the restaurant is that the atmosphere is laid back and informal while the food and service are high end. It's been only three days since my last visit and I've already had occasion to highly recommend Pintxo to two people.

Really excellent appetizers, especially the blood sausage, foie gras, the salmon tartare and the beef cheeks. Also loved the charcuterie and Spanish cheese. One guest had a cucumber gin mixed drink that she loved. Only hitch was the timing of the food delivery; 3 appetizers in a row were brought to one person, while someone else at the table had still received none. This spotty delivery meant that we weren't eating together, and is obviously kind of frustrating if your guests are the ones still waiting for their food.

One other note, the salmon tartare duo at lunch means two servings of different types of salmon tartare; in the evening the salmon tartare duo is only one serving (should be salmon uno).

Very good selection of tasty pintxos (tapas). Preparation and presentation were also very good.
Service was attentive and cheerful. They were able to accommodate a last minute addition to my reservation with no fuss.
Atmosphere is lively and cheerful as well.

We informed our very friendly waitress that we wanted to be brought many different pinxtos and that we trusted her taste. (we wanted to taste their best dishes).

The meal started out great with 3 killer dishes. Then we started shifting to heavier meat dishes which we were delicious, but we were still hungry and wanting more lighter fish and vegetables dishes.
We then told our waitress that we were still very hungry and weren't ready to end our meal so quickly. She then went backwards and started bringing us more fish and salads etc.

Although the dishes were all excellent, the flow of the meal was off and we left there confused on if we enjoyed our experience.

On a side note, the table next to us complained about the volume of the music being too loud. The waiter obliged and completely turned down the level of the music to where it was almost inaudible. (this totally killed the great vibe of the restaurant) I understand trying to please customers, but not the detriment of other patrons. Everyone noticed the volume change and we were all uncomfortable after the fact. No one wants to eat in a library.

Pinxto a déménagé de local en sept. Le nouveau est bien sûr plus moderne mais beaucoup plus petit. Les tables sont collées et le niveau sonore très élevé.
Par contre, les tapas sont excellents et à prix raisonnable. Le service est hors pair.

Our waitress was great!never wrote a review before but here we go!place is small and cozy!perfect spot waitress was as fast as can be expected delivering tapas with only 1 busboy n what looked like a casuall dressed owner!iI don't usually go to restaurants and complain it's not my style but wow the food what a let down I ate 12 tapas and each one was a bigger let down charcuterie ha!provigo chorizo and canned lupine,wow who inspired you for this dish charlie Manson!yhy have you never heard of salt or olive oil before like coming,oour waitress however was on point,all in all won't be coming back!tthanks for a great bottle of wine ready made grocery style take out and aea expensive bill!

This is an extraordinarily good restaurant. It has taken me a while to return to it, after it burnt down recently, but boy is it back with a force. Every single tapas dish was extraordinary. Delicate, fresh flavors, or rich vibrant ones, everything is there, perfectly cooked, each one as exciting as the last. If you know and love food. This place is for you.

A very nice meal, but felt the attention to detail from the former site was missing. Did not seem to have quite the exquisitely presented small plates vibe from before. We were not offered the same attention for wine selection and the opportunity to try several small "flights" of wine, which had been a strong attraction in the past. Will try again in the future, though.

Rien à voir avec l'ancien Pinxto.. L'acceuil / le service et l'ambiance vraiment ordinaire quand on a connu l'autre location de ce resto qui etait si chaleureux! Se faire acceuillir avec un" Bonsoir vous allez devoir quitter a 20:30 à cause d'une autre reservation" assez ordinaire ! Par chance que la nourriture fut excellente ! Desolée

Been here for dinner here before and loved it so returned to try "lunch" (3 in the afternoon) when hosting an out of town friend. Was happy it was open. Menu was limited at that time but all the food was delicious -- the serrano ham and mahon cheese was the best ham and cheese we've ever had, the trio of Spanish cheeses with nuts and fig jam was delicious, and for me the star was the tartare duo, i.e. beets with smoked salmon and feta in one, and smoked and tartare salmon in the other, both spectacular. The mojitos were also excellent. It was great to be able to eat outside on the terrasse and enjoy the sun. Service excellent. Only downside, which can't be helped, is that the terrasse is on a busy, narrow street with truck traffic so not strictly scenic. But it was still really nice to be outdoors and if you're seat faces the sidewalk, it is fun to watch the very vibrant pedestrian scene.

Great atmosphere, great location (probably only seats about 30 people).
I cannot say enough about how great the service was. The waitress was able to offer many suggestions ex: Wine pairing, how many pintxos to order even if it meant less than you planned.
Definitely a must try!
