Cream of mushroom soup and Brussel sprouts are outstanding. Lunch sandwiches and dinners vary in value, quality and taste.
Amazing Views! The food was spectacular. This made my hubby's birthday so special.
Anniversary
Very strange smell when we walked into the restaurant. The hostess was not particularly welcoming. The food was mediocre, at best. 4 of us had 4 different meals and no one was very impressed.
Our reservation was for 2:00 on Open Table but the restaurant called and asked us to come earlier because “we’re closing at 3:00 to set up for a private event and don’t want you to feel rushed” . She said a 1:45 reservation should be fine. We arrived at 1:25 but we weren’t seated until 1:55 and our food wasn’t delivered until 2:30. Just at that moment a large crew arrived and began taking down tables, stacking & moving chairs, making a racket, obliterating the view, and generally ruining our lunch.
Had I been told set up would begin at 2:30 I would have canceled my reservation and they wouldn’t be getting this poor review.
We have been to Pinnacle on several occasions and never been disappointed. This visit was no exception, two of us chose the Sea Bass and it was outstanding I ate every single thing on my plate. The third person with us ordered the Mediterranean Chicken and that too was absolutely delicious. Our biggest problem was actually choosing which dish to order at the beginning, there are so many great choices, there were a couple of dishes that we have had in the past and we were tempted to order again but this time decided to try something different - we were all glad that we did.
We planned a lunch for seven , while wine tasting , on a Saturday. Everything was great- and it was a perfect place to bring out of town guests. Pinnacle food was very California- really good burger, salads, and sandwiches. We were worried that lunch would take too much time away from out=r day of wine tasting. But, the service was great- and we continued our wine experience with terrific wine from their Faulkner menu. I would highly recommend it.
Three of us had lunch before wine tasting. The burger was great as well as the turkey club. Fries were nice and crispy!
The food is great. I had pasta primavera with chicken breast. My husband had BLT sandwich. It has 2 big sandwiches and barbecue fries. Our server, Silvana provided good service.
Only open for a limited number of hours each day so plan this one for lunch. The view is great and the menu is very good. Try the Spanish octopus; its great. Our server was helpful but focused almost totally on my wife barely acknowledging that I was there, rude.
This restaurant just gets better and better! You simply must try the Brussel Sprout appetizer, I know it sounds odd but it is to die for, even if you do not like veggies! Lovely views and great ambiance with some really great wines make this a great treat that doesn't break the bank!
Valentines Day
We enjoyed the Valentine's Day lunch special and have a lovely time. Great views, excellent food and friendly service. The Pinnacle is first rate.
After dining head to the tasting room
We visited from the east coast and enjoyed lunch with a great view. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
There are a lot of restaurants at wineries in the Tecemula area. This one is at the top of the list.
The menu leaves little to be desired. Heavy on seafood choices, with several
Very enjoyable!
The Pinnacle is in a lovely location with great views. It's open floorplan makes it a bit noisy if there happens to be a large or noisy party near by. The food was great, our server was rushed but fairly attentive and we will definitely go back.
A great way to sit and savor something delicious while on a wine tasting day in Temecula. A little noisy on the Saturday we visited, with a large birthday party and a wedding!
We were able to use our points from Falkner Winery for a delicious meal for 4. Each of us had delicious, fresh pasta and seafood options with a great view. They even take the time to offer a wine pairing with each entree on the menu. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back!
Always love lunch here. Wish they were open for dinner!! Food is always excellent and plenty. Their mushroom soup is to die for!!
I was celebrating a friends birthday but what a gem I have found for any celebration or just to have lunch or dinner. All was fabulous!
The corn chowder we had was superb!! I had the ahi salad and it was quite wonderful.
I have never been disappointed when we have gone to the Pinnacle restaurant.
Good food, good service and a very nice setting. This was our second visit during the holidays and we plan to return.
We loved Pinnacle!!! The view was outstanding. One of the people at another winery told us we should eat at Liones instead but I am so glad that we didn't ! First of all, the view is SPECTACULAR! I would have been happy if the food was mediocre but it wasn't! I ordered the grilled Octopus which was the best I have every had (including Olives at the Bellagio in Vegas). I was with 4 other people who ordered the Seabass (perfectly cooked) and the Vegetarian option Manicotti. Every dish was outstanding. There are many options for both vegetarians and vegans. This restaurant is a MUST for anyone visiting the Temecula wineries.
The reason why I rated the restaurant as quiet is that we arrived at 1130 and were the first guests in the door. It did get louder at the time we left which was around 230 PM and the room was only about a 1/4 full. The decor and ambiance were nice, but I could see how the room would be very loud if the room was full. The decor did enhance the echoing and the voices without anything on the walls to reduce the noise level.
The service was very good overall and our waitress was friendly.
Very spacious restaurant. The food was delicious. There were 3 not so positive outcomes, however. First, I made a reservation at 3pm. On the day of our reservation, a woman calls and said that they actually are not taking reservations at 3pm and beyond (so why was I able to make the reservation on-line? SMH!). So, I said...okay...we can come earlier. So, she said 2:45pm would be the new time. REALLY? 15 min earlier? What is the difference? Next...our waitress was mediocre. The other person helping her bring our food to the table or fill our drinks was more hospitable. Hopefully she will share the tip with him. Last but not least...I made a reservation more then a week prior and there were a lot of time slots. So, I figured...I should be able to get a table next to the window. NOPE! We ended up getting a table closer to the bar. Wow! I am sure my family and I spent at least twice as much as most of the people during that time. So, would I go back? Maybe...since all the food items we ordered were delicious. Let's hope we get the table we want and a waitress who deserves the good tip we usually leave.
We decided to have a few small plates and wine. All three of our choices were amazing.... Paired with a Viognier. Delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was great, same for the service. But the decor needs a remodel. It looked pretty beaten up and pretty dirty.
Great ambiance. Love the wine tasting and view!!!
My husband and I wanted an elegant lunch. Our lunch was very elegantly presented. Silvanna was our waitress and she was fabulous. We enjoyed our dining experience. Everyone was
friendly kind and gracious. We really liked the lemon twist bread. Everything was fresh and
exquisite.
On a Saturday afternoon we were celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary and Pinnacle was recommended. We were showed to our table, given water and were more or les ignored for the next 10 minutes. The restaurant was fairly crowded and noisy almost beyond toleration. That was not unexpected however. The sea bass was ok and the seafood crepe was very doughy. We were ordering desert and mentioned it was our anniversary. That was complementary. We had noted a "special occasion " in our online reservation and when we checked in. They were in the process of setting up for a wedding and were anxious for the room to be cleared. We would not return anytime on a weekend, but might give another try at a less hectic time. Would never recommend this restaurant any time on a weekend.
This restaurant 'Pinacle Restaurant' at Falkner Winery in Temecula Valley Wine Country is one of the best. The food and service is always of the highest level. Great wine, great food, great service and great views of the surrounding vineyards from the dining room! Highly recommended...
Much louder than expected. Food was good, but our appetizers showed up about three minutes prior to our entrees. They took them back. Ten minutes later, they brought our original entrees back. They should have prepared then again. We won't be returning.
Server was not very friendly at all and bordered on rude.
Definitely would come back. Mushroom soup was excellent!
We had lunch at The Pinnacle Restaurant, which gets high marks in reviews for its views. Well, it does sit on a little hill and looks down and across to the next little hill. The hills here are covered with desert chaparral and brush. In late fall now, these are all pretty dry and brown. So the view is nice and open, but at this time of year, not the prettiest. The food was good. The signature lobster mac and cheese was just ok IMO. It is in a brown (bacon?) cheese sauce instead of the expected light cheese sauce, and had a "different" taste- not what I was expecting. The shrimp caprese salad was very good, as was the Santa Barbara salad. The service was excellent. The wine list features the winery, of course, which we had sampled and enjoyed in the tasting room (The Temecula area doesn't produce great wines, but Faulkner's are very good among them).
We came for a girls lunch to celebrate a birthday. Very nice restaurant and pleasant atmosphere. The decor is very plain and nothing to get excited about. Food and the wine and beer selection are good.
The view from Pinnacle restaurant is one of the best in Temecula! Had a a business lunch there with out of town clients.....they loved it! Everyone was extremely happy with the food...wine...and, service!
Pleasantly surprised.
I had one of the best hamburgers I’ve had in many years. French fries were also delicious.
Service was very good.
Can’t wait to return.
My husband loves the octopus dish and I always enjoy the various other options I have been working my way through. We frequently bring friends who never fail to be impressed with the view, the service and the great food. Recommend highly when you want to treat yourself to a special dining experience.
