Pinnacle Restaurant - Falkner Winery
I cannot recommend this restaurant. We made a reservation several days in advance. We arrived on time; however, no one was willing to honor our reservation. Furthermore, we were told that the restaurant was about to close for the day -- that was around noon on Valentine's Day. The hostess sent us back even though we showed her a copy of our reservation. Her entire attitude and demeanor was unacceptable. This restaurant is not worth your time and effort.
The food and the atmosphere was outstanding, we sat in the outside balcony and the view was remarkable. This was truly a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back!
I can't speak for normal meals, rather we ate here for Valentines. The lighting was initially extremely bright and then finally they figured out how to dim the lights, which flickered from time to time. The wine was so so, my crab bisque was luke warm, the filet mignon was unimpressive. What made up for the lack of quality food was the service and the accommodating nature of the waitress to offer me a special wine sample that was not offered on the menu, as well as allowing me to enjoy a cheese cake dessert versus the chocolate decadence cake, due to my distaste for chocolate. I was disappointed in the experience for the price. I will not recommend this restaurant, nor the wine tasting and I will not be returning to this venue.
Portions were fine, small is nice for once, food was good but did not blow us away. Prices were high.. can get more exciting food for the high price elswhere. You could put music down stairs while people wait, maybe stage the loading of the restuarant by staggering the seating times by a few minutes.. so people don't have to stand in line on the stairway.. may be a hazard for high heels. Over all, nice place.
We had a romantic lunch at the Pinnacle restaurant. We had requested a table by the window and we had a beautiful view overlooking the vineyards. The service was perfect, and the food and wine were awesome.
The service and the food at Pinnacle Restaurant were exceptional. The view of the valley from the restaurant was outstanding.
The Pinnacle was the best dining experience that we've had in a long time and very reasonably priced for the quality of food and wine. The view was splendid, as well. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
Lots on the plus side: Ambiance was casual, relaxed, and not too noisy on the day we went, although the acoustics could result in a din when it's a full house. The food was very good, particularly the chicken with herbs, the corn chowder and the fluffy cheesecake which came as advertised: A not too dense concoction with just the appropriate richness. The signature lobster mac and cheese was a true comfort dish, nothing fancy but satisfying. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The view is breathtaking, particularly at the right time of year. Could be perfect for a romantic dinner or a relaxed lunch on the patio when the winds die down.
Menu has enough variety to please everyone. Food was fresh and delicious! The balance of portion was spot on and we all felt that we had great value as well. The winemaker and owner was there and very attentive. We loved it and will definitely come back.
After being seated we waited an hour and a half for lousy, luke warm food served on a shaky card table. Very noisy for a special occasion, like we were celebrating. The view and cabernet were very nice.
Dining at Pinnacle was a delightful experience. Besides the spectacular view, the food is heavenly and the service is top notch. One of us always orders the lobster mac & cheese. This time we also enjoyed the mushroom trio soup and crab cake sliders. Pairing the soup & sliders make a nice alternative to ordering an entree. One of our friends ordered a special - mahi mahi - and had only positive remarks, or affirmative murmurs, between bites. Bonus: with our wine club membership, the food bill gets discounted 10% and all wine by the glass or bottle is 50% off.
Love this restaurant! Food is delicious and service is always terrific.
Amazing overall dining experience!
The food was delicious! I had the Ahi burger, which was cooked perfectly and the Santa Barbara Salad. The staff was exceptional. We had such a plesant lunch.
Service was very slow, but the view is phenomenal so the wait was pleasurable. If anyone is seated on the deck, and it's chilly, *don't* sit near the door unless you want to get blasted with air every time a server goes in/out the door.
Nice menu. Nice view. Nice service. Went during week for lunch. Had 1/2 price off bottles of wine. A good deal for that. Would go again.
Our dining experience was great!
I have been to Pinnacle Restaurant before and have very much enjoyed the lunch there. Because it was busy, the service was a little slow, however the waitress we had was very personable and attentive. The food was great. The venue is outstanding.
I always enjoy dining at the Pinnacle when I'm out in wine country. The food is delicious, the view is brilliant and the wine rounds out a perfect outing. I've always had terrific service.
Had the burger, and frankly was disappointed. If your going to name a dish after the owner, make sure its fresh…the burger was from a frozen patty …I asked for it to be medium …and it was way overcooked. My suggestions, if you’re going to offer a burger, make it from fresh ground beef. The wine was very good I particularly enjoyed the Chardonnay.
Excellent in every aspect... food, wine and service ...beautiful building overlooking the vineyard!
Absolutely great experience. The view is marvelous while having a great meal paired with the perfect wine.
Lovely atmosphere, fantastic view, waitress a bit overworked.
Excellent Service & Scenic View. I was very impressed.
The wait staff was spectacular. Tina, Marco, and a new employee took excellent care of my party of 8 which grew from a reservation for 6. The food was excellent and everyone had nothing but rave reviews following lunch. One couple in the party return to the Pinnacle routinely during the month and are very familiar with the menu. They have the same lunch items each time they visit.
Thank you for the opportunity to praise your Pinnacle Staff.
The winery is in a very pretty location...lunch was wonderful, and we enjoyed going over to the tasting room as well. We would go again...very nice!
This was not my first trip to the Pinnacle restaurant. I was there for lunch with five friends on June 14th, three from Orange County and two from Banning. They were all impressed with my choice for lunch and would like to meet there again. The food was delicious and the service excellent. I definately am a regular customer.
Great view and great food, but service was a little slow.
One of our favorite stops when traveling to Temecula for lunch!
One of the nicer Winery restaurants in Temecula, and not overpriced
The food was excellent, the music was a bit too loud for conversation, but enjoyed it!
The brunch did not have a lot of offerings considering they charged $55.00 per person. Plus the set up was not very good.
Went for Mother's Day brunch. Overpriced.. Selection was very limited considering the cost at $50 per person. Scenery is a plus as its perched on top of a hill in Temecula wine country. Perhaps, dinner experience may differ.
For Mothers Day they were expensive for what they offered. Service was slow for only 3/4 of the restauant being full. Only the first drink was included. I would not recomend this restaurant for Mothers Day next year.
Nice place. Great food, good wine and excellent service.
We had lunch the week before Mother's Day for our early Mother's Day out.
Food was fabulous and the service was fantastic.
Thoroughly enjoyed our day and even went to the winery for some wine tasting.
very good food & service; excellent view of vineyards.
The wine is extremely good and the view of the winery from the restaurant is amazing!
Easter Brunch was not what I had expected. It was not worth the price although I appreciate our waitress taking off 2 meals and the wine. The chefs were not professional. The didn't know how to make an omelet and there could have been a larger set up and variety of food. I will not be back to the restaurant but still love the luscious lips wine.
The view is spectacular and service tremendous! The food was good and very reasonable for the wine country. My only recommend is to spice up the menu a bit (it's a little blah) and pay more attention to the food details. For example, I had the Ahi Tuna Burger, and while the fish and flavors were tasty, the bun was extremely dry. But overall was a nice experience and I'll go again.
