The food was good the owner Mr. Faulkner came over to make sure everything was good and chatted with us which was a nice personal touch. The server tried to bring us the wrong order and the waitress gave us the wrong credit card. She also had to yell for us to hear her. Needs better acoustics. Was a very nice experience with beautiful view, will go again maybe when it's not so busy with many "voices". Or maybe sit outside on the balcony.

We were disappointed. The service was terrible-very slow, took away plates before everyone was finished, food not as requested. We would not go back. Room lacks ambience-just one big ugly room.
They need a coffee machine-not being able to offer anything but brewed coffee isn't good!

The food was great. We are all East Coast, eastern shore people and know seafood. We had some of the best crab cakes EVER!!! The salmon was "to die for." Our waitress was fabulous. We were treated with such great class (all six of us). Wine was also half priced that day. My out-of-state guests were very impressed AND this was my first trip to Temecula. I will definitely go again.

The Pinnacle Restaurant had a prix fixe menu for Valentine's weekend & we were looking forward to go here but it was completely understaffed and the food took ridiculously long to come out. Our appetizer took roughly 30 minutes and so we canceled our entrees. Sadly, I cannot review on the food much because we didn't get to experience much of it. The appetizers were mediocre and the experience was horrible. I do not understand how someone could not anticipate accurately enough to prepare the restaurant for a coming lunch crowd, especially when people (other than myself) have been reservations. It was a poor execution and I do not plan on returning.

T
he restaurant was billed as a special valintines dinner, it was a big disapointment, I thought the going down to a cold bare barrel room for cheep champaine while a tired staff tried to get it togather for a second round seating, they were rushing everyone to finish they were short on the wine pairings, this was not a good time, the food was served with a filet on top of potatos it looked like they ran out of plating ideas, we wont go back to this place, for the money it was a big let down .

My husband and I went to Pinnacle for Valentines day. We were disappointed for a few different reasons. First, we sat outside, which was very nice but we had the sun in our eyes. We moved to a different table that was a bit more out of the sun. Our order was taken and about 10 minutes later another couple sat at our old table and then got their order taken. About 1/2 hour later, our food came but it was given to our neighbors. We assumed it was due to the waitress not changing our table number. We got no apologies which really upset us. The apetizer was good (brie) but the lunch was sub-par. The desert was good as well. Over all, we would not visit this restaurant again. The winery was fantastic though! I would go back there. Try Hot Lips!

I cannot recommend this restaurant. We made a reservation several days in advance. We arrived on time; however, no one was willing to honor our reservation. Furthermore, we were told that the restaurant was about to close for the day -- that was around noon on Valentine's Day. The hostess sent us back even though we showed her a copy of our reservation. Her entire attitude and demeanor was unacceptable. This restaurant is not worth your time and effort.

I can't speak for normal meals, rather we ate here for Valentines. The lighting was initially extremely bright and then finally they figured out how to dim the lights, which flickered from time to time. The wine was so so, my crab bisque was luke warm, the filet mignon was unimpressive. What made up for the lack of quality food was the service and the accommodating nature of the waitress to offer me a special wine sample that was not offered on the menu, as well as allowing me to enjoy a cheese cake dessert versus the chocolate decadence cake, due to my distaste for chocolate. I was disappointed in the experience for the price. I will not recommend this restaurant, nor the wine tasting and I will not be returning to this venue.

Portions were fine, small is nice for once, food was good but did not blow us away. Prices were high.. can get more exciting food for the high price elswhere. You could put music down stairs while people wait, maybe stage the loading of the restuarant by staggering the seating times by a few minutes.. so people don't have to stand in line on the stairway.. may be a hazard for high heels. Over all, nice place.

Lots on the plus side: Ambiance was casual, relaxed, and not too noisy on the day we went, although the acoustics could result in a din when it's a full house. The food was very good, particularly the chicken with herbs, the corn chowder and the fluffy cheesecake which came as advertised: A not too dense concoction with just the appropriate richness. The signature lobster mac and cheese was a true comfort dish, nothing fancy but satisfying. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The view is breathtaking, particularly at the right time of year. Could be perfect for a romantic dinner or a relaxed lunch on the patio when the winds die down.

After being seated we waited an hour and a half for lousy, luke warm food served on a shaky card table. Very noisy for a special occasion, like we were celebrating. The view and cabernet were very nice.

Dining at Pinnacle was a delightful experience. Besides the spectacular view, the food is heavenly and the service is top notch. One of us always orders the lobster mac & cheese. This time we also enjoyed the mushroom trio soup and crab cake sliders. Pairing the soup & sliders make a nice alternative to ordering an entree. One of our friends ordered a special - mahi mahi - and had only positive remarks, or affirmative murmurs, between bites. Bonus: with our wine club membership, the food bill gets discounted 10% and all wine by the glass or bottle is 50% off.

Service was very slow, but the view is phenomenal so the wait was pleasurable. If anyone is seated on the deck, and it's chilly, *don't* sit near the door unless you want to get blasted with air every time a server goes in/out the door.

Had the burger, and frankly was disappointed. If your going to name a dish after the owner, make sure its fresh…the burger was from a frozen patty …I asked for it to be medium …and it was way overcooked. My suggestions, if you’re going to offer a burger, make it from fresh ground beef. The wine was very good I particularly enjoyed the Chardonnay.

The wait staff was spectacular. Tina, Marco, and a new employee took excellent care of my party of 8 which grew from a reservation for 6. The food was excellent and everyone had nothing but rave reviews following lunch. One couple in the party return to the Pinnacle routinely during the month and are very familiar with the menu. They have the same lunch items each time they visit.

Thank you for the opportunity to praise your Pinnacle Staff.

This was not my first trip to the Pinnacle restaurant. I was there for lunch with five friends on June 14th, three from Orange County and two from Banning. They were all impressed with my choice for lunch and would like to meet there again. The food was delicious and the service excellent. I definately am a regular customer.
