Pink Ratings and Reviews
Great place for dinner and entertainment. Buffet is amazing for such a reasonable price . The Executive chef was such a nice guy he came out to greet us at end of the night and asked us how the food was . The horse racing is the cherry on top, makes for such a great night out!
I brought my husband there for an evening of dining and fun for his birthday; neither of us had ever been to a race. The experience exceeded my expectations! The food was quite delicious(everything!!) and the staff very friendly and accomodating. Special kudos to the Master chef; my husband was blown away when he came over to our table to greet us! Very memorable evening and we will be sure to visit again next time we're in E. Rutherford, N.J!!
Dennis the chef offered a great buffet with outstanding selections of fish meat turkey salads cheeses pasta ice cream pastries etc. Dennis walked around chatting with customers and greeted the customers as though they were his family. He was sincere and caring. He added an ice cream bar to the buffet which is our favorite desert and everybody there enjoyed it.
Jonathan is the head carver at the buffet and is vey accommodating. Dawn the hostess did a great job helping customers obtain desirable seating. We look forward to coming back to Pink at the Meadowlands.
Our experience at pink was fantastic! We are not big fans of buffets but everything was wonderful!. Our waitress, Diana was super friendly and attentive to our table. The dining and the added fun of the races made it a memorable night for our family. We celebrated my wife's birthday! Only drawback was 20% gratuity and 7% tax added on to the bill in addition to $40 per person for above average buffet food. I don't mind paying for great service but we basically served ourselves from the buffet and service staff only cleared plates and delivered drinks. Would be better if the $40 was all inclusive....
We love going to Pink, never had a bad meal there. The service is excellent and the food can't be beat. Chef Dennis does an amazing job, very creative and personable. The table and seating arrangement makes it very comfortable. They can't do enough for you! You won't be disappointed with the service and especially the menu. Highly recommend The Pink Restaurant. Will be going back!!
We were warmly greeted by the staff from the hostesses Dawn and Marissa to our servers Diane and Laura. I love how they all work together to make us comfortable. Lovely staff!
We were also greeted by the chef Dennis, LOVE the salmon!
Although we didn't hit big in the horses, we had a great time because of the service.
We will be coming back!
Came to pink on a recommendation from a friend. So glad I did! We had ourselves a great time! The all you can eat buffet was delicious and very reasonably priced 29.95 where else can you go and stay for 5 hours. Definitely got our money's worth, and too boot we also had some luck with the horses. Definitely an enjoyable evening, I will be back and I'll bring my friends.
Buffet food is just average but what can you expect for a race track. Decent selection but some food was cold. Service for cocktails was better than I expected. Overall ambiance is exactly what you came for, a somewhat upscale dining experience for people who like betting on horses. If you do not enjoy the race track experience, I would suggest you look elsewhere.
I'm sorry that I don't know her name but the girl that showed us to our table noticed that I was having trouble walking (bad knee) and especially going up and down the steps with dishes and throughtout the evening she carried my food to my table. I sincerely appreciated her help and kindness. She certainly made my experience at Pink much better than it would have been without her effort.
Great for an adult night out! Trackside dining, great view of track, friendly attentive staff. The only downside was the buffet was in the smaller side. They had a few salads, soup, cheese platter, assorted breads, steamed veggies, a pasta dish, a chicken dish, a pork dish, a salmon dish and someone carving a cut of beef. The buffet used to have more choices a couple years back. There were a decent amount of dishes but if you don't eat steak or salmon like me it became limited real fast. Food was very delicious tho. The staff couldn't do enough for you! Whenever you needed something they were on top of it. They had an cream sundae station and some small treats like mini cannoli, cheese danishes, cookies and a fruit (melons, grapes, strawberries, pineapple)
Disappointed. Picnic food for dinner was not what we had anticipated with advertisement saying " buffet varies". Plus, baked potatoes were undercooked and too cold for butter to melt. Other items were close to warm. Ran out of chocolate ice cream served out of a basic cardboard tub. How hard is it to keep ice cream ready in the freezer for days without concern of spoiling? Won't go back.
We went on Saturday June 10, 2017 for a date night. Service was horrendous. Waitress brought us a drink we didn't want and would not take it back. We were never offered coffee at the end. They also tried to give us a terrible table with no view to start. Buffet was good. People working buffet were very nice.
Great atmosphere, front desk always friendly and welcoming. Love the fact that Chef Dennis Sammorne stops by each table to say hello and talks with each guest as if they are old friends. Menu delicious, excellent presentation of platters, a good spread of items and selection varies each time we've been there. Serving line staff very professional and helpful. It does appear that the waitstaff assigned to guest tables are thinly spaced out and service was slow. We needed to ask three times for a refill on coffee and never got it. I don't think it's the staff persons fault, they just need more servers.
Very good dining spot at the track to enjoy a good meal while watching and betting on the horses. The best staff worker is Robert. He points out the special foods and is always on top of his game. The table service is greatly needing improvement though. The server to table ratio is too high and you can spend over 20 minutes waiting for drinks on a Saturday if not longer. Suggest ordering 2 drinks at a time. The head chef does come out to follow up on the experience which is important.
What a great time we had on Saturday night. There were 6 of us for my birthday. We all wore "pink"! The buffet was surprisingly delicious as most buffets are kind of blah. I had the pork which was outstanding and the veggies were crisp and fresh. The chef, Dennis outdid himself and we told him do when he stopped by our table to greet us (very nice touch). Our waitress, Diana worked was so friendly and when she saw my flowers and found out it was my birthday brought me cheesecake with a csndle and sang. All the staff was so very friendly! Loved it👍
The food was fine and the service was very good. The waitress came by often to take away buffet plates and refill water and take more drink orders.
My only complaint is a small one - they had a lady walking around taking bets at the tables, but she only came to our table once and spent most of the night at the table next to us attending to a large party. I can understand going to where the big money is; however, perhaps the Meadowlands can have more than one of the mobile bet takers walking around. At least I got some exercise walking up to the teller machines to place my bets.
