Pink Taco - Sunset Ratings and Reviews
The food was great, drinks were great and the server we had was awesome! My only complaint would be that we made a reservation and they stuck us at this little table upstairs in the corner, instead of on the nice patio or somewhere where we'd have a nicer view.
I ordered the lobster tacos. They were delicious. The kitchen thought they may have delivered the wrong dish to me (they did not). They didn't tell us anything--they just brought us a second dish of lobster tacos. Love that they fixed the problem with no hassle to me--even though it was not a real problem. Great service.
Nice looking place. Too loud. Drinks are hit & miss, first one was great. Second one was watered down. Server took forever on everything. Food was luke warm & terribly unimpressive.
Chairs are uncomfortable to say the least. I have bruises on my hips cuz they're too small.
But other than all that, it was great!
The food was excellent. I would go back for the food even though the service was terrible. Soon after we sat down, the waitress delivered an appetizer to our table and said she'd be back. We hadn't ordered anything, so figured it was an error. A few minutes later, she came back and grabbed it off our table, without saying anything, and delivered it to a table nearby. It was extremely rude. She eventually took our order, but never checked back during the meal to see how things were or if we needed anything else. We had tickets to a show so after waiting for an unacceptable amount of time for our check, we got up and went to the front to pay. She was there and gave us our check, didn't even bother to apologize. We did not leave a tip.
Why is it so hard to find good service in Hollywood? We came here for dinner so it was late night. We were seated by the window. First fail... this place has no windows so anywhere by the windows is freezing and I'm also not a big fan of the lighting in there. Next, our waiter tried to be cute and remember our orders instead of writing it down. Second fail. She messed up our order and got an attitude with me when I corrected her. She was even taking shots with some guys in between waiting tables. And called her on it. She didn't like that either, must have been the reason she messed up our order. It was my friend's birthday and we had received terrible service all day and this was the last straw for me. I ask to speak to the manager. He was very polite and apologized and comped my friend's dinner. That was the only plus side. But then had he nerve to send tipsy waiter back to check on us? Why? Third fail. The presentation of the food was super cute! Shout out to the chefs! The food overall was okay! We honestly came for the strawberry margarita that comes in a pineapple, but that was by far the weakest margarita I've ever had.
Waitress upstairs was doing it all. The patio was a shitshow and too many people had Bday sparkles going on. We sat upstairs where it was nice and quiet and we were able to talk. Waitress was bartending, bussing, doing it all and with a super friendly attitude.
Total opposite of the downstairs bartender.
It was a rainy night and they only have covered outside seating. But with the heaters it was ok. The guacamole was delish. We ordered tacos just the way we wanted. Loved the filling, not a fan of the corn tortillas. The flour ones looked much better. Would definitely go back on a nicer evening. We ate there before a show at the Laugh Factory which was walking distance (in the rain). It worked out perfectly.
