About Pink Taco - Los Angeles
The Pink Taco is a Mexican restaurant and bar located in Los Angeles, California. With an attitude all its own, The Pink Taco is not your typical Mexican restaurant. From the outside, you would be forgiven for thinking this was a tattoo parlor with the outlandish colors and biker-gang style font that adorns the wall. The folks at the Pink Taco wouldn't have it any other way.
This is a restaurant built on great food and attitude, and everything here is in service to that, from the decor to the menu. The best time to come out is on Taco Tuesday, when the Pink Taco offers amazing specials on the many varieties of tacos and house-made margaritas. If guests want to go all-out, they should try the Pink Taco's signature dish, the fried lobster taco with avocado, chipotle mayo and mango-habeñero salsa.

Pink Taco - Los Angeles Ratings and Reviews
Had a fun and effortless group bday dinner here for my 23rd on a saturday night. Great outside table where you can still talk to everyone. Treated with a nice double shot of tequila and a sparkler instead of a dessert - which was a nice touch :) The margaritas, tacos, and fajitas we all had were delicious.
We ate at this Pink Taco about 5 years ago. We liked it so much that we ate there 3 times during our stay. This trip we made the RES and actually drove an hour to eat there. This time the food was bad ( other than the Guacamole ) even the salsa / hot sauce tasted bad . Our bill came to $70 with tip and all three of us wished that we would have gone to Del taco by the hotel instead. Obviously we will never eat at Pink Taco Westfield Mall again.
Also... THEY STOPPED VALIDATING PARKING. COST US ANOTHER 3 BUCKS.
I love Pink Taco! The food has always been great! This is a great place for happy hours, group outings, girlfriend catch-up sessions... you name it. Some people even bring their kids here. The outdoor seating area is cool too!
I normally get tacos but the last time I visited I had the vegan bowl. Can you say amazing?!?! If you eat meat the waiter recommended that you add meat to the vegan bowl. I also had the guacamole and it was delicious. I am sort of a guac snob so I can say without a doubt this guacamole was bowl-licking good! I'm a fan!
I have not been at the pink taco for about nine months. I took a friend here for her first time because I really talked up the atmosphere, the food, the clientele, the ambience, the vibe. I was very disappointed to find that none of the things that I was looking for were to be found on this particular day. The service was very good, the food was just as I remembered it, but the vibe just wasn't there.
I've been coming to pink taco every Tuesday for the last 3-4 weeks. The margaritas are excellent. And the al pastor tacos are delicious. Happy hour on Tuesday's is only at the bar and outside patio. There is usually a wait for the outside patio but I would suggest waiting so you can see the scene of the beautiful city
We've always been big fans of Pink Taco. It's food, service and ambiance made it quite the draw for us. Having said that, there has been a change - not just the menu but the service seems to have suffered the same cutbacks.
We're hopeful that we'll see a shift upwards and continue to enjoy Pink Taco as "frequent flyers".
My friend and I love going to Pink Taco particularly for the nachos. We especially like to come for holidays for some reason like St. Patrick's Day or Cinco de Mayo just for some reasonably priced drinks for happy hour before we head out for the day. I like their strawberry margaritas especially. Thanks for being a great go-to restaurant.
I've been here a number of times since the grand opening and each time I've dined here, there has been a change to the menu in the negative way. They continue to downsize their menu items and on this recent visit (3/28/15) the menu seemed like a happy hour menu and bar sized portions though we were sitting in the dining area. We asked if they had a different menu and were told that they have "streamlined" their menu now. The food used to be really good but now seems like bar food as I mentioned before.
I was expecting this place to be more about the drinks than the food, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The selection of tacos I ordered all had a great combination of flavors. I'm already looking forward to my next opportunity to visit.
First time at Pink Taco.....very straightforward menu......lots of taco choices, I had the baja fish and they were quite good.....served with rice and beans. The chips and salsa are excellent but if you want to add guacamole prepare to spend $10. Taco plates are all about $15.....three tacos, rice and beans. A wide array of margaritas too....I had the house margarita and it was good. They offer a skinny margarita as well for you calorie counters. The service was good......very attentive. Definitely a satisfying experience.
Horrible mexican food akin to Cabo Cantina... Very bad service - waited forever... My entree (shrimp fajitas) came badly burnt and had to send back. I took 6 of my single girlfriends out for Valentine's day - only thing good about this place are the cheap drinks (which in theory could be used to mask the food, but there was no helping this fake greasy mexican eatery).
We've been to Pink Taco many times, but not recently because we now live closer to the beach. First, it was Friday night and not as crowded as we remembered. Second, some things we liked are no longer on the menu, specifically a vegetarian plate. Next, the food OK but not great. One of us had chicken fajitas and there was so little chicken mixed in with a mess of veggies and onions that it was a joke. We made trying to find chicken a game. Sorry but we'll not be back. I will say that the service and atmosphere still good, as in the past. They still do that part right.
The food was good, but it came out cold. I had to ask multiple times for multiple things. I asked several times for the house hot sauce from the server, so finally I asked the manager. Since the hot sauce was hot, we needed water. Our waters was never refilled by our server, only once by the manager and by another server. The manager was accommodating, not so much the server.
Went here for Taco Tuesday night and it was delicious! The service was very good and bartender and waitress were both very attentive. The only thing I was bummed about is that I had made reservations but that was for indoor dining only, and we wanted to sit outside on patio for the Taco Tuesday night but some of the table's had been reserved for some groups. I wasn't aware that you could not request that area outdoor.
We came here based on a recommendation from a local hotel staff member. Saw some positive reviews on Yelp, but most of them seemed geared towards Happy Hour clientele. We were expecting something awesome, but it was so-so. Wouldn't go back there again, except maybe for a Happy Hour special. Maybe we were spoiled by a neighboring restaurant we ate dinner at the night before. (Rock Sugar), or because there are so many awesome Mexican restaurants back home in San Diego.
On a positive note, we had read several negative comments about the service here, but our server (I think his name was Adam) was helpful and checked on us frequently, so I guess it depends on who you get.
I had been familiar with the Pink Taco that I've passed by on many occasions on Sunset but to finally experience it makes me wonder what took me so long. After booking my reservation on open table we arrived and were seated. The chips and salsa must have been laced with a drug of some sort because they were addictive. I ordered the Chicken A La Plancha to summarize this I'll just say that it was my first time having that dish, going to that restaurant, and will not be the last. Great food, service, and ambience.
