I have been to Pink a few times, food is always good. The food for St Patrick's day was terrible. I was very disappointed.
It was a very fun night but the Maitre D' was extremely rude to me. There seemed to be a mistake with our table which she admitted but wanted to sit us with our backs to the track and told me that is the way the do it. I explained that we wouldn't be able to see the race and she said "I'm not here to argue with you! The buffet was not very good but maybe because it was St. Patricks weekend. They automatically put a 21% tip on the check. I always tip well but the service was not that good.... Still a fun night if you like horse racing.
food was outstanding, serive was even better!! we had samantha as our wqaitress, she was amazing, and we've had her mother before, both great waitresses and even better people. they are the reason i go to pink 2 times a month!!
I loved this place. First off the food was absolutely delicious. The track view was perfect. The bar was great. The only downside was the service. The staff didn’t speak English well and they didn’t understand what we were saying. Also any staff that did and we asked any questions to did not have answers so that was frustrating. There was also an issue with the security man on our floor when we were departing. Overall, we had a terrific time up until the time we were leaving.
I would love to have more entertainers every Friday...The 70s was a great treat while having dinner, race and Elvis
PINK exceeded all of my expectations. We were AMAZED by the talent of the Elvis performer. The food was outstanding and delicious as always. The chef and staff are wonderful. PINK is a fun night at the races, offering a tasty buffet for your dining enjoyment. Additionally you can place sports bets at FanDuel one level below. Debbie V
The food was not good, didn’t have much of a variety. The French toast was hard like toast, nothing French about. I’ve had better food at a diner. The worst dinning experience, buffet should be variety, it was cold, and was just frozen food the thawed out and reheated.
This was our first time visiting the Meadowlands Racetrack and Pink, but have been to Aqueduct many times. Since the Meadowlands is much closer, our hope was that this place would be a good substitute. We were sadly disappointed. When we arrived, they were still in process of setting up and, in fact, some of the service staff were still clearly eating their evening meal. The buffet was advertised as "Brunch for Dinner", but they only offered bacon, sausage, an institutional-style scrambled eggs, and french toast made with the thin-sliced wonderbread. The only non-breakfast item was 1 pasta dish. Their bread/pastry options were meager and seemed to be of the mini-sized variety. They did offer fruit and low quality bagels, but no cream cheese, lox, or anything other than butter. An ice cream sundae bar was supposed to be available at 8pm (according to our server), but wasn't opened until 8:45 because the staff argued over who would work it (they were quite vocal in their opposition). As for the sundaes, there were no sauces, no whipped cream, and no topping other than some chocolate sprinkles and chopped up M&Ms, which looked like they were leftover from another event. An adult birthday party had been booked and they placed them at the top of the stairs where most (if not all) of the other patrons had to pass to get to the food, betting windows, and bathrooms. Partiers were loud, boisterous, and seemed to congregate around the stairway, rather than at the other end of their table. In contrast, Aqueduct is a superior experience. The food is of much higher quality (they always offer several different breakfast and non-breakfast entrees, a couple of salads, fruit, a much wider selection of bread, and usually 6 or so different dessert options), the atmosphere is less noisy, and we've never had to dodge people to get to the food, betting windows, or the bathroom. In short, we will continue our trips to Aqueduct and avoid the Meadowlands Racetrack and Pink. You should too.
Head Chef came out and actually asked us how we were enjoying the food !
We attended the Valentine Buffet at the Meadowland's Racetrack and were VERY pleasantly surprised. The buffet was very good, which is hard when you're leaving food out with sterno cans under it. The menu was gourmet, especially the Belgian chocolate-dipped fruits for dessert.
44.95 was too expensive for what was offered. Rose and champagne was not necessary. Chicken was tasty but too salty
Veggies were great
Service was very good.
been there a bunch of times in last couple of months
its always very good
Not great but what would you expect from a restaurant at a race track.
as always everything was awesome
hostess Dawn was very accommodating
It was fun to be at the races with a good view of the track from Pink. We were there for soup and pasta buffet night. They desperately need to serve some vegetables beyond a wedge of iceberg lettuce slathered with mayo. Some of the soups were good. The diced chicken was tender. The beef was decent. Desserts and fruit were good. The pastas were meh. Avoid the linguini with clams.
Fun night out with quality food. We celebrate all of our birthdays at Pink. We love the close proximity to buffet and ease of placing our bets.
Not happy at all with service. Waitress was unfriendly and had a scowl the whole night. Very inattentive.
The themed buffets are excellent. Fun night for dinner and racing.
Wow...my husband and I had an amazing time...seating was great, foid, people...our waitress lovely and accomodating...thanks for helping to make my birthday and others celebrating birthdays a very special occassion...
Love Pink - everyone is so friendly - good food and service- a good night out
The executive chef has really moved this limited item buffet up quite a few notches. Every item this last Saturday night was wonderfully done, the servers were great and it was clearly very well organized and run. We likely will go back once a month.
Please keep in mind this restaurant overlooks a race track and there is sports wagering. So there will always be a little more noise than most restaurants. But it exudes a positive air of excitement!
Atmosphere for a racetrack is very good. Nice ambiance. The food was excellent, and the choice was also very nice. Drinks were reasonably priced for a venue. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Its was a fun night at the races w friendly prompt service. The buffet was ok. Salad was great as was the soup. I had a dried pork chop though. All in all i would go back.
Food was mediocre,Bread options, good..Antipasto was good, Salad greens were great, but dressing was too sweet,(no other options).. Main course options were OK, (diner/corporate quality),food was cold by the time I reached my seating..Dessert was abysmal, (frozen/thawed), fruit not fresh, poor quality.. Coffee was good, not offered a refill.. non alcoholic beverage should be included in price...tap water, not good!
Enjoyed a nice night out at the track with my wife at Pink this past Saturday evening. The hostesses, as always, were extremely pleasant, our server, Diane, was fantastic and the food good and plentiful. The head chef, Dennis, does a great job every night and always goes out of his way to say hello to as many guests as he can. I highly recommend Pink if you're looking for a great night out at the new Meadowlands Racetrack.
FOOD WAS AWFUL AND OVERPRICED----------------TERRIBLE
Food is limited selection, for $ i expected more. If you’re not a horse gambler it can be confusing to play. Playing basic $2 bet is doable
Great time! Our friend has food allergies and the executive chef care out and explained what exactly he could eat!!! Everyone was so helpful and nice! Food was great, fresh, hot and unique! A great time was had by all!
Great !! food is always delicious, serving staff are very friendly, never an empty food item-they keep replacing immediately when empty.
A really enjoyable evening between the buffet
And the racing.
And always outstanding
Will definitely be back
the buffet kept running out of items. this required multiple trips with plates that were missing significant complimentary foods.
Got there and pink was closed not very happy!!ate at trotters, couldn’t see the finish line from the table we had! Very unsatisfactory
view of the horse race and video monitors was great. had to ask waiter 3x for a mixed drink. waiter took it upon himself to write in 20% tip on top of entire bill including food, liquor and TAX!!...for a BUFFET...also was charged for party of 12 when we were 11 (reservation was for 12 so i'll let that go)...also a manager corrected bill so i could decide tip.
The food was not as good as I’ve had in the past. The server did not come to the table to check on us very often. We had to hunt her down for the bill.
The food is usually great.. but Saturday was a little disappointing. There was no caesar salad, salmon or steak- which are always delicious. We're still had an enjoyable evening even though we got hungry later.
You would not have known this was a race track with a stake races on the program. Lights were not dimmed at the start of each race and the race call was not broadcast to the room. That made it way too loud during races and made for a definite disappointment race wise.
The food itself was fine, along the lines of what was expected.
Our Buss Person was missing in action most of the evening. The waitress apologized but that didn’t change the build up of plates on the table as we were trying to handicap and play races.
Staff is very service oriented. The head chef accommodated our request regarding the salad as well as the main courses which is unusual for a dinner buffet. It is a lot of fun to eat a great buffet in a leisurely manner while watching harness racing. The PINK restaurant is great value and we highly recommend the restaurant.
We had a reservation for pink, but it was closed. We were moved to Trotters, but I definitely prefer Pink. The food was cold and not enjoyable.
Jackie did a great job checking on our needs. Will definitely be back and ask for her again.
Good food, great fun for a night out with friends or a date.
