We had a lovely time. Our server was particularly nice and accommodating. The Italian Margarita sandwich was yummy as well as the squash ham soup. We enjoyed browsing through the shop but were disappointed about the shift to higher end things like furniture and that sort of thing as in the past some of us had enjoyed the smaller decorative things like garlands and table cloths and napkins and other such things. There are lovely things in the shops but not as many items that fit into our actual homes or budgets.
Delicious and flavourful food. Charming atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. There were plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. I would highly recommend.
Always a treat to visit Pineridge Hollow. We'll be back soon.
Jana, our server was pleasant, very helpful and made the meal even more enjoyable.
Give her a big raise !!!
Great place to visit. Food was good. Loved the beet chips.
Sat us in a back porch area that was very cold. They had to bring in heaters to take the edge off.
Enjoyed looking around the shop and found a few gems that needed re-homing.
Definitely worth the visit!
Lovely fall day, picturesque, delicious lunch and friendly server. Thanks for a lovely afternoon
Had a wonderful afternoon at Pineridge Hollow with a fabulous lunch to break it up. Thanks for a beautiful setting.
Breakfast is always awesome and the menu covers all of the favourites one would like to have. There is certainly good value for the money which makes this a favourite place for breakfast for us. The staff is very friendly and always accommodating one of the few places where you do not feel rushed.
The pork pasta special , was a little off.
I felt it needed more flavour
Great food. Noise level a little loud but the place was full.
Celebrated my sisters 70th birthday. Everything was great. We sat in the veranda and the noise level was good. Only complaint was a pestie fly.
Food was okay but my salad was limp as it was likely sitting for an extended time waiting to be served. We waited close to an hour for items that would have been pre prepared and needed only to be warmed ( quiche and salad and quiche and soup). The staff when located were friendly. The restaurant was initially busy but had tables available and had emptied significantly by the time our meal was served. When I explained that it was close to an hour waiting for our lunch, two entirely wrong meals were brought out fairly promptly. They appeared to be freshly prepared. I was disappointed as I was trying to present Pineridge as a special place to an out of town friend.
I had been here before and the food was great. But this time not so much. I don’t know if it was because it was so busy or because my previous visits was evening versus this time for lunch. The beet chips did not taste fresh. The quiche was dry and my sister had the chicken salad sandwich and she said it lacked flavour and the croissant was dry. She had ordered this because she had it before and loved it. She even recommended a friend order it as well. They were both disappointed. My roasted red pepper soup was tasty. I will not let this experience stop me from coming again. It’s worth another try.
Excellent and creative dishes. We especially enjoyed the cauliflower tacos. As always, it seems, the service is a bit slow, especially at the beginning once we were seated.
One of my absolute favourite places to go. I love the cozy feel of the restaurant, the porch and the patio in the summer. Food is always delicious and creatively and thoughtfully made. The drive is pretty and very much worth it!
Love Pineridge Hollow!! It’s like a retreat from life. My happy place😊
When my 81 year old father and his wife were planning to come and visit us in Winnipeg my dad said we have to go to Pine Ridge Hollow for breakfast. So we did. The ambiance, food, gift shop, and outdoor scenery is fantastic! We enjoyed every minute of our time there. Breakfast was at 10:30 and we left at 1 p.m. Such a beautiful place. There was a pot bellied pig wondering about outside. Delightful!
The food was delicious, especially the beet chips, super original. Our server was extremely friendly and accommodating. It took some time to get our order taken and also to get our drinks, maybe it was understaffed. Some flies have taken our peace for a while, should have a way to get them away from tables.
The food was amazing but the service could have been better. Even with a reservation we were not seen right away. Our food took a long time and when asked for the bills to go we ended up being there at least another 45 minutes. Our waitress also didn’t seem to know the specials or much about the food. My sister in law had intolerances and she found out but then 45 minutes later came back saying it had something in the food she was sensitive to, by that time it was too late for her to order anything else so she was forced to keep it.
I was surprised I had never been here before as the location isn't the most ideal but it was such a nice first visit. The atmosphere is so inviting, the décor is homey, the food was delicious. We went on a Saturday so was able to shop the farmers market as well as look around at their clothing and furniture. They also had their animals out for feeding and petting. There is something for everyone. It's a great location to get some amazing photos. I can't wait to go back.
Other than the fact we had to wait approximately 20 minutes before seeing our server our evening was terrific. We were not in a rush so the wait wasn't the a huge deal but I thought it worth noting.
Great place to just get away from it all! Quick drive outside of the city and if you’re able to sit on the porch you’re in for a treat. The restaurant and attached gift store provides a great atmosphere.
Great location + great food + day + activities - excellent shop
We enjoyed the farmer's market, found treasures while shopping, had a delicious meal and even scored an incredible bargain in the clearance section!
I felt that our waiter could have given more information about the menu. For example, I didn't realize that my menu item came with fries. I would have preferred upgrading to beet chips. He didn't mention that option to me. It took awhile for the food to arrive. I would have preferred that he had given more attention to our table. It was fairly loud and somewhat difficult to have a conversation.
One of our favourite places to go. We went on a Saturday morning to have breakfast. Attended the farmers market that was set up there, looked at all the pretty stuff inside, went for a beautiful walk, came back for coffee and dessert.
Love Pineridge Hollow
The food and the atmosphere is amazing
The added vinous with the gift shop and being able to walk and see the sights around
Dinner with the girls, loved it, server was patient and awesome! Food was excellent. Service was excellent, another excellent night out!
Pineridge Hollow has been a fabulous getaway...from city craziness. I appreciate the atmosphere it offers. The restaurant has amazing food and then you have the opportunity to do so e shopping on the side. Thanks for what you offer! I would recommend it to anyone.
This was a belated birthday celebration for my sister-in-law whose mother died the week of her birthday. I wanted a special place to take her and also to revisit a place that has so many special memories for me.
The service you receive can set the tone...and ours was excellent. Kyle was kind, courteous and made us feel like a guest in his home!
We were seated upstairs very quickly , only one server but most of the tables were empty, wait for food was ok, tasted good, but the atmosphere was not as nice as downstairs, bare and cold looking. I hope they make it more inviting if they are going to keep it open. Pat
All of our special requests were accommodated and the waitress was very helpful with my meal "customization".
We got the seat right by the kitchen and the noise level was so loud it was challenging to visit.
Very good experience. Only improvement I could suggest is to replace the hard wooden chairs with something more comfortable.
Very good food..fish tacos made with Manitoba pickerel was awesome, Quiche of the day was very tasty and the quinoa burger was very good. Must try the Pineridge salad😁, and of course the beet chips and the delicious sauce.
Really enjoyed our meal. The only problem was the table behind was so loud that we couldn't hear what we were saying and had to stop trying till they left.
It has become an annual tradition since my daughter got married there 12 years ago that I go back with my 4 sisters for my birthday. We always visit the farm animals & were thrilled with the baby piglets. We always take at least an hour in the store & usually come out with a piece of jewelry, clothing or decor.
Our only concern this time was the water glasses! All of them had finger or lip marks on them. We received new glasses when we complained, but the next batch was not much better. The salt & pepper on the table also had very sticky handles and the flowers on our table were pretty well dead.
The one thing i will say is that the acoustics in the main room are terrible. I loved everything about my experience besides the fact that i could hardly hear.
Disappointed that booking must be done by computer. Experienced some trouble with this format and after leaving phone messages, I never received a call back. I had to figure this out by myself but it was frustrating that I could not speak to anyone directly.
We arrived late as we had trouble finding your locale. Called on route and again it was impossible to speak directly to anyone in restaurant.
Beet chips arrived to table cold and ceaser salad dressing tasted like watered down yogurt dressing. Salad had no bite so I kept adding salt. Main courses were tasty and well presented. Upon leaving my guests from Montreal said that they would not want to return for reasons listed above.
I have been several times to Pineridge and was always pleased. This time not so much.
