Delightful ambience and service with tasty reasonable food as always
I normally eat seafood, but they did not get delivery,
Chefs special of venison sausage was interesting.
A special effort was made to accommodate three Birthdays. We appreciated the service and enjoyed the meal.
The "Happy Birthday Bob!" on my husband's menu was a very nice touched. He was really appreciative for the effort.
My meal was absolutely appalling. First, I asked for mashed potatoes with my Stroganoff instead of noodles. Wow, you would of thought I had asked for the moon. The Beef Stroganoff was horrendous. No taste, sauce totally white and very runny. The meat was disgusting, and the dish looked like someone had thrown up into a bowl. The cost of my meal was ridiculous.
My husband and I will never come here again. Not to mention, parking was a waste of time. Had to walk a long way to get to the restaurant because of no parking.
Meal was not worth the walk.
Great location, good food, good service. Great business lunch spot.
A notable, classic spot in Central Oregon. Beautiful setting, hearty meals. Energetic spot in downtown Bend.
Had meatloaf this time. I remembered there being a stuffed salmon which I couldn't resist but it wasn't on the menu. Great food and service always.
10/10 Enjoyed our meal while looking at Mirror Pond. My chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans were perfectly prepared. Add to that: Pine Tavern’s signature scones: yum!
We went to Pine Tavern for a birthday celebration for an older man and it felt really special. They printed Happy Birthday at the top of the menu., which gave us both a real kick The food selections seemed a little limited, but the food was amazing. I had the catch of the day and loved it.
Pine Tavern is an institution in Bend, Oregon. Wonderful!
Very mediocre food. High priced. Never will go back
Good food, excellent waiter - orders were timely served. Main dining room not too loud and the evening turned out to be a great night for family.
Great place to eat The Wine List was exceptional. The staff was the best . We sat and talked to our friends until losing without any rush.
This was our first time to this restaurant. Recommended to us by our son and daughter- in -law. It's in a quiet area, which also leaves you with a great view of the Deschutes river. The waiter we had was very pleasant. He was very attentive to our needs or requests. So, he's quite a bonus for our evening and the restaurant. But, the food was amazing. Great choice of foods which were perfectly prepared. Can't say enough regarding the food...all of it. Including the large choice to choose from of delicious tasty desserts.
Just plan a visit, you won't be disappointed. Since that was our first visit, it is by far our last.
Traditional American is usually fine for me, but the food should taste good. Not so at the Pine Tavern any more. Chicken was rubbery, bland mashed potatoes, steak in the steak salad was stringy and the greens were buried in dressing, blech. And the waiter was nice, but absolutely uninterested in our tepid response to his perfunctory “how is the food”.
Always a delight. Wonderful food, exceptional staff. The river view is beautiful.
Probably the busiest bar in Bend with creative drinks and great service. The Dining Room is away from the bar so that the ambiance is fairly quiet. I had Beef Carpaccio as good as I have ever had. A fun Bar with a very good restaurant
My nightly special Mahi dish was very good. My husband's Cobb Salad was just so-so. The Mud Pie was fantastic as usual. Nice atmosphere! Our server was great.
The French onion soup was excellent but didn't care for the green salad and neither did my friend. The greens were way too bitter for my taste. Not sure the lemon vinegar was the right dressing for these greens.
Great service and warm scones! Yum! Will definitely be back.
Very enjoyable evening with excellent food and nice atmosphere. Large pine tree in the center of the restaurant which is on the banks of the Dechutes River. When the weather allows outdoor dining (too cold when we were there) there is seating overlooking the river. We were fortunate enough to have a window table that gave us almost the same view. Menu has plenty of variety and my wife and I were both quite impressed with our choices.
Definitely recommend. Next time we’re in Bend, we’ll go back.
The food was necessarily bad, but it wasn’t amazing. I would say it was way overpriced for what we got.
This was a nice restaurant for a meal before going to a concert. The view was beautiful, the food and drinks were very good and it was quiet enough for the five of us to easily converse. We told the waiter we were going to the concert and he made sure to get us out of there on time.
After a day of skiing, met up with friends for a delicious meal. Food and staff were excellent.
big fan - great food, service, atmosphere - will be back next time i'm in bend
Great food and service.
Great place got the whole family on my daughters 16th birthday!
Haven't been to the Pine Tavern in something like 15yrs, and was hoping for a stellar experience. Didn't quite make it. Bacon Mac n cheese was normal, Cajun Shrimp Alfredo was very bland and didn't appear to have any Cajun spice at all, the Fish n Chips were okay, fish had good flavor but we're too heavily battered. Fries were great! Waiter was stiff, wait staff helpers were much friendlier. Overall not an experience that will have us rushing to go back any time soon.
Fantastic all around. Meatloaf was great. It’s a “must visit” for anyone visiting the Bend area.
Food was good, but there aren't enough vegetarian and/or vegan options and the wait staff/chef was not very accommodating.
We were really disappointed in our meals tonight to the point that I am not sure we will return. There seems to be a movement to decrease the portions. We did not care for the vegetable with our dinner, we told there were no other options. So we ordered a house salad that easily fit on a small bread plate, and paid extra for it. Dinner was fairly expensive to walk away feeling unsatisfied.
Food is excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable of the food and wine list.
I loved the sautéed brussel sprout salad. I had a pork special that was AMAZING with bacon jam topping! The mashed potatoes were sweet and delicious (I want the secret recipe-denied!). My sister had to have her chicken marsala remade, as her first version was difficult to cut with regular table knife! Cute place with great staff!
Overall the food and service was good. Our vegetables however reached our table cold.
We arrived in time to benefit from happy hour in the bar area. The food and drink selection and prices was so good we thought maybe we didn’t need to go into the dining room. Thank goodness we did go in for dinner. A very beautiful dining room with cloth tablecloths and a beautiful giant Ponderosa Pine growing right through the roof. The food ws excellent and our waiter took care of fabulously. I was not expecting it to be so good!
I love going to the Pine Tavern. It is like coming home, warm and cozy with great food
We’ve lived in Bend for several years and have been to the Oine Tavern several times for happy hour and bar food. It’s always been good. However, we recently had a formal dinner here and it was excellent. Great atmosphere in the dining room and exceptional service. And, the food was some of the best we have had in Bend. Perfectly cook steak (one of us had a rib-eye), as well as the fish.
This was a birthday celebration and Pine Tavern even has menus preprinted with “Happy Birthday” on them. It was a lovely surprise.
Our server was top-notch. The restaurant was busy but she made us feel like we were her only customers. The food was prompt and delicious.
Pine Tavern mud pie was the perfect ending to our celebration.
Came for NYE, food was awesome, service was mostly good. They were probably tired and ready to go home. Tree in center of room was very neat.
