Decent - burger is still best thing on menu. Lunch is better than dinner. Great bar.
Unfortunately my request for no salt steak wasn’t heeded and it has been before.
The servers seemed invested in making the dining experience good beyond the actual food prep and quality. We were asked several times if all was in order. Available without being intrusive; friendly and good-humored without sacrificing professionalism.
The chicken breast was as dry as a bone. It had the same texture as jerky and was not seasoned at all. Don't get the chicken. I guess it's true what chefs say: don't order chicken at restaurants.
The new menu is just out. The new pasta is great.
Exceptional!
It was our 50th anniversary.
Great as usual
Brunch menu, Saturday Lunch
Great time!
The best in Hanover!
We’ve come here many times for drinks at the bar but this was our first sit down meal. The food and service were just as good as the drinks always are. Such a great place to go no matter what you’re doing in Hanover.
Doug was a superb waiter, as always!
The food was outstanding!
The food at Pine is consistently great. The service is fantastic. The atmosphere is cool and cozy at the same time. We are regulars at the Sunday Brunch...delish!!!
Outstanding service, excellent ambiance, very good food. Excellent wine selections too, and delicious desserts. Very highly recommended.
Always a great experience, Pine is easily the best restaurant in Hanover
The chicken waffles were exceptional --a great combination of savory and sweet! The smashed baby potatoes were perfect texture and delicious! The steak and fries were equally delicious though I was full with the chicken waffle brunch dish. I love this restaurant for the original variety of fine food and stellar service. This was my third visit this year at Dartmouth and it never disappoints to dine at Pine Restaurant. Thank you!!!
John, our waiter was outstanding: Very professional and attentive. The meal was excellent.
Noise level was a little high. Overall, it was a very good dining experience.
I’ve been to Pine several times and although the service was slower than usual, the food was still excellent and our waiter was attentive and friendly.
Pine restaurant never disappoints. It is absolute perfection. I have dinner there on every trip to Hanover when visiting my son, and it always makes for a special occasion. This time, we shared the beef tartare as well as the Ahi tuna tartare. We debated which was better (but it was a tie), and both were creative and delicious. My son had the duck breast cooked medium rare, and it was outstanding particularly paired with the blood orange vinaigrette. I chose the scallops which were prepared perfectly and were arranged atop a cauliflower puree and topped with mushrooms and turnips. The decor is lovely, the view of Baker library and the Dartmouth green is special, and the service is exceptional. Hands down, Pine is the best restaurant in the area.
Love everything about this place. It’s one of our ‘go to ‘ date nights (we’ve been married 32 years). A very nice menu that gets updated frequently.
Every time I book through Open Table we get the worst table in the restaurant (by bathroom, by kitchen or service area, near host stand and barely in restaurant, part of bar which is very crowded with people bumping into you) - many times with other open tables that remain open.
What an amazing place. I wish I had an additional day. Food and service and excellent.
Pine never disappoints. The menu options are some of the best in the area. Service is always good. Our server Anthony was very professional. Many thanks.
We did Valentines Day early and enjoyed everything about our experience. It does tend to be a very expensive evening out.
The food and service are consistently wonderful here, but the shining star is the bar program: I would wager it is among the best in the country! The cocktails here never cease to delight and amaze.
Always a treat to eat at this restaurant. It has a warm and inviting ambiance with a menu that doesn't change much but is full of reliably delicious meal options. The bread and butter served at the table is a stand out feature as well. The staff is always friendly and professional.
I had a Goat Cheese Ravioli with roasted broccoli and broccoli rabe. 4 Ravioli that had little flavor with no type of sauce. Veggies were good. Not with $29.00. My wife had a Farro dish with root vegetables that she found overly oiled. As a beer drinker, I thought the draft list could have had a better variety. Lovely atmosphere.
My husband and I always gravitate towards the Pine for date night. We appreciate that they are attentive, but deliberately pace our meal, which is something we are not good at. We find we have more relaxed and longer date nights here than at other restaurants in the area.
Emerson at the bar is a+
Quintessential New England spot in a quaint college town! A fire adds warmth and fun in cold New Hampshire. The service was truly lovely both times we dined here. Some of the items on the menu are delicious --others not so much. The menu tries a little too hard to be different and they do not offer enough salad options. And it is expensive. But if nice sit down service with good if not amazing food is what you crave in Hanover, NH you can't do much better than the Pine.
Service is very iffy, especially at lunch. Waitstaff not nearly up to par for a place of this purported caliber. Had a very friendly server at lunch, but he was overextended and didn't have time to be attentive. We wanted to order coffee after lunch, but were not able to flag our server down to do so. Food is decently good, but my side salad was greens dressed with oil and vinegar - that was it. A bit of a let down.
Great, as always!
We had delicious luncheon entrees. Nice wine and beer. Attentive service.
Burgers are delicious, served with a cup of fries and crispy thin onion rings. Ambiance is soothing. Dessert menu goes beyond "the Usual". Wait staff is attentive without being intrusive.
Great Place. We have been to a lot of local area Hanover Restaurants and glad we finally made it to Pine. It is a great place again and would recommend it again.
Welcome by hostess was very warm. Quiet restaurant when we arrived, which is unusual on a Sunday, and were given a choice of tables. Menu was varied and different enough that I did not feel like I was dining at "the same place" yet again. Server was fine, not overly friendly and did not seem to know what was on the menu. Desserts were not only delicious (we had three different selections) but beautiful. Banana strudel was a work of art. Valet parking is available and there is a cozy waiting area in the hotel lobby with a fireplace and comfortable chairs.
My wife and dine at Pine at least once a month, often for brunch. The service on this occasion was prompt, helpful and friendly. Everyone in our party of four enjoyed his/her meal.
One of the best meals of my life. The goat cheese and squash ravioli was absolutely amazing.
I LOVE Pine. This is the second time I have been and they never disappoint. Always consistent and always delicious. Staff is always wonderful :)
