Pine Lodge Steakhouse
We were seated promptly. The entire process of getting our drink order, obtaining our food order, then receiving our order was done in a very reasonable time. Our waitress, Lisa, was very informative about the products and was a definite help in deciding what to order. She made the entire experience even better by her professionalism. The ambiance of the eating area was wonderful and echoed the name of the place well - Pine Lodge- in its construction and decoration. Prices were reasonable considering that this is a steakhouse- not a pizza or wing joint. All in all, this is an excellent place to go for a meal.
Excellent meal. I was in town from the Midwest visiting family and would’ve never thought I could get such an excellent steak. It was fantastic! Waitress was awesome! I will dine here every time I’m in town.
I ordered the Oscar salmon and was given just the salmon. When I presented my issue to the server, she went and got her order pad and said, “that isn’t what I had you down for.” It doesn’t matter what she “had me down for,” what matters was that I was not satisfied with what I was given and it should have been removed without debate. To aggregate the situation more, when she brought back my salmon, there was a pouring of soup across my salmon with a few flakes of crab but there was not a portion of crab on my salmon. Another person in our party got Oscar chicken and she had a large portion of lump crab on her chicken so I knew what to expect. I should have refused my meal, but because we were a large party, I chose to just accept it as it was and not complain, even at thrbnudging of others within our party. My husband and I own a restaurant ourselves, and would be incredibly disappointed if this were the service our employees extended to our guests.
The place is beautiful although the food is below average for the price. Not sure if it was just that day or
This was an unexpectec suprise to get such quality food at a decent price. Our waitress was a delight. We will be back!
Service was outstanding! We moved from downstairs to upstairs with no problems. Our waitress was on top of things but was not bothersome. We were visiting friends for about 2 1/2 hours. Food was delish.
My wife and I celebrated Valentine’s Day at the Pine Lodge Steakhouse. The service and accommodations were superb. Our meal was perfectly prepared and the staff made us feel special. What a great place for just two, or the whole family.
The food was outstanding! My wife and myself both has steaks and they were amazing! Cooked and prepaired perfectly! We went on a Monday night so not a very busy night but they were still very welcoming and helpful!
We had a great experience and our waitress was the best waitress wevee ever had!
Very good food. Especially the steaks. Overpriced, though. Washington, DC, prices in McHenry Md.
Greeted promptly. Service and food was excellent. Atmosphere was perfect
Everything was really good tried previously to get in this restaurant without reservations so glad we made reservations . Our waitress was wonderful , she got one on one with our four year old granddaughter to get her order, everyone was very friendly
Made reservations for New Years Eve. We were first seated at a small table that was near the stairs and was undesirable to us. We saw three empty booths near by and requested one. At first we were told they were all reserved. They eventually moved us to a booth. We were there for approximately one hour and the other booths remained empty for most of the time. They tried to seat another couple at the small table and they ended up leaving before ordering. Be sure to request a desired table when making reservation.
Five adults and 2 children sat in the bar area for dinner. The area wasn’t crowded but service was very slow and the waiter less than helpful. The steak and ribs were okay but crabcakes were very dry and inedible.
We had a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting. Definitely worth the moderate prices!
Service and food were great!
The atmosphere was wonderful and we even got our pick of a table by the fireplace for our Christmas celebration. Service was very good too. We were disappointed with such a small serving of crab legs and how tiny the Filets were for the money.
Wonderful meal and they really take care of you. A great warm atmosphere with soaring wood ceilings. Great steaks in a very comfortable setting. Absolutely will be going back.
My husband and I went with our four children to have dinner and celebrate my husband’s birthday. The appetizers were delicious. We had the prime rib on rice, the crab dip dish and the calamari dish. Everything was exquisite. We each had a steak. I had the filet with a side of baked potato and Caesar salad. I would go there again without hesitation. The place is wonderful and nicely decorated.
We had our company dinner in front of a fireplace, so nice and cozy. Just what requested, a private table. The wait staff was awesome, food was delish. Perfect evening. I can't think of anything we would have changed. Thank you Pine Lodge! Merry Christmas!
Decorated lovely for the holidays, and we were able to get a seat in front of the fireplace - it was perfect. Great service and delicious steak!!
Great place to eat for a group. Decent prices. Quality food
Comfortable, friendly, relaxing with an attentive and helpful staff.
Over worked wait staff, salty flounder, crab cake filled with shell, -not best choice for my wife's bday. When asked how things were by who I assume was a manager (middle aged -avg height white male with glasses), I told him. -all that was received in response was that "the bisque should have taken away the saltiness..". Not much in the form of apology or indicating corrective action might take place.
Trout was unrecognizable is was cooked so much. The prime rib was more fat then meat even after it was replaced because first one not cooked correctly. It was the worst Prime rib I've ever had. Way overpriced for the quality, service , preparation. Can't compare or even come close to other restaurants in the area such as Dutches or Aces. Won't be going back anytime soon or ever.
Crab cakes are billed as Maryland jumbo lump crab. Not so. If they started out as lump crab meat, the preparation made any lumps unrecognizable. The taste was good but these are NOT jumbo lump crab cakes. Come to Baltimore if you want true jumbo lump crab cakes where they know how to prepare them.
We visited Deep Creek Lake for our first wedding anniversary and chose Pine Lodge Steakhouse as our celebratory dinner. Although it seems the dining room could be noisy when full, there were only a few tables occupied and it was an enjoyable experience. We could see the lake from our window seat and we received impeccable service. Lisa was outstanding, just attentive enough and she went above and beyond to make our evening feel extra special. Despite the inland location this kitchen really knows how to prepare their seafood. We both had surf n' turf and were beyond pleasantly surprised by the quality of our meals. We will definitely be back!!
Our second time there with family, enjoyed both visits.
Nice restaurant at Deep Creek. It is different from other options in the area which are more "chain" restaurants. A little pricey, but there are lower cost options available. The food was really very good, and my group of 9, with a same day reservation, had no issues getting in on time. Good service, and very nice decor. I recommend this restaurant and I will be visiting again.
Had the pleasure of dining here while on vacation, food and service was awesome!
We had dinner at the Pine Lodge around 730pm on a Monday night with our four teenagers. Our waitress Lisa was super friendly and very attentive. Creamy crab soup was delicious and not too heavy so you’ll still have room for your meal. My husband had the oak barrel steak (with herb butter on top) and crab legs and both were excellent! Crab cakes were delicious as well. Side dishes were okay but the entrees were all fantastic! And if you like spicy bloody marys with old bay, you’ve gotta check it out, it was great!
Any time we're at Deep Creek Lake we make sure to stop here and have a nice steak dinner. Good value and good quality.
Everything was delicious and huge portions! Wonderful!
One big critique. Our server’s clothing was very messy and dirty. Her black blouse, black pants, and black apron were spotted and stained. Not a good presentation at all. She was very nice and friendly; but, the dirty clothing was a turn-off.
Good food, nice atmosphere! Very pricey, extremely expensive wine (not even good wine)! $15.00 for a glass of Kendall‑Jackson cabernet is ridiculous, considering a bottle cost less than $20!!! I asked the bartender for (4) glasses of Cabernet, and he gave us Kendall‑Jackson cabernet, and I was shocked when he told me $60 + for the (4) glasses of wine. He should have told us it was $15 per glass prior. I feel as if I got rip off!!!
Great food and service. Very romantic setting. Would recommend to everyone for special occasions.
Online reviews were very good, so we went there for lunch. Arrived at 12:30 with nobody at the front stand and proceeded into restaurant. The place was empty with uncleared tables and no airconditioning. We left quickly. Don't trust online reviews.
We ate two meals here and both were very good. Steaks were good, service was friendly and attentive.
Awesome! Will go again!!
We had a great meal and Greta service. Both of us has steaks that were cooked just right and the sides were very good. Gone tiatal meal with 2 G&Ts was about $75 before tip. It’s not super fancy but a great meal and a great value. We have been here before and we will return!
