   Found ourselves in Ossining and saw this restaurant on Open Table. The interior photo on Oak and Pine's website doesn't do it justice. The restaurant has a warmer, more charming ambiance than portrayed. The waitress was incredibly sweet and paced the timing of drinks, appetizers and entrees comfortably. We shared the delicious poached egg and asparagus (there's a typo on the menu unless apparagus is a thing) along with the kale and quinoa salad. Both were delicious which made us look forward to our entrees. The salmon with snow peas and almonds was cooked just right -- not overcooked, nor under. This restaurant is a gem especially if you drink beer with all the ones on tap. A nice find! We'll definitely be back!

   We went with our three kids. We eat out fairly often and this was one time when everyone really enjoyed their food (and each other's!). We had the pleasure of talking to one of the owners. Easily worth the short trip from Sleepy Hollow / Tarrytown. My wife and I went back for drinks and appetizers at the bar a few nights later and had an equally good time with Kirk behind the bar.

   We were there on Easter Sunday in the late afternoon so the restaurant was very quiet, but the food was good and the service was great! We will definitely go back. I will say that some is the beer options had been rotated off the menu and were no longer available but the server was good and suggesting new alternatives.

   Our experience was disappointing. The beer selection was good, however the food lacked flavor. The service was very poor and the restaurant was not full. I think the wait staff need more training.

   The ambiance and decor was nice, and the menu showed real promise and creativity. The beer selection was also very good. Unfortunately, the seasoning was a bit off in some places, leaving us craving more flavor. The quality of the food was there and I didn't feel ripped off, but we were a bit disappointed when it came to taste. It was good enough to give them another shot, as the menu is interesting and has many options.

   Food was average. Could have been better. Service awful. 7 tables total on a Saturday night and the wait staff seemed clueless. Pacing around and not serving anyone. Took over 20 min to get a drink and well over an hour to get our dinner.

   Went to this restaurant on a Saturday night during Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. Arrived before the real crowds, but right around the time of a larger party. Took awhile to get our food which was served by different people, and didn't see our waitress for most of the night. It's not a big restaurant, but they seemed disorganized and frazzled by the number of people that came out on a Saturday night. I ordered a dessert off the Restaurant Week menu, but they didn't have it. No one said anything, while my dinner companions got dessert. I finally flagged down a waitress and she said that they didn't have the dessert listed on the menu. She offered me some alternatives, I ordered and it took a long time for the dessert to appear. No one asked if we wanted coffee or tea, and no one asked us during dinner if we needed anything else. The check was inaccurate and needed to be corrected. The food was OK - the chicken and pork chop were dry; other items were OK, but nothing special. Nice atmosphere and location, but the food was just OK and the service was not good. One of the Journal News reviewers listed this restaurant as a top 10 to try, but she must have gone to a different place.....

   They were completely unable to handle our party of 10. Food took a VERY long time to come out. When it did, one order was incorrect, and I did not receive any food. They were so disorganized that the waitstaff didn't even notice I was not served. I asked a few minutes later (after telling everyone else to start eating), and was told yes, it's coming. A number of minutes later, I finally flagged down our waitress (the place is tiny, but we NEVER saw her). She was genuinely surprised I had not received any food. We were headed to a show, so there was no longer time to make something new. I asked if there was ANYTHING I could eat in the short term. She delivered a hamburger to me that was completely different from what I ordered (most likely someone else's) - but at least I ate. When the bill was delivered without kind of discount, the manager was completely surprised that anything had gone wrong. He then took the bill back and made some adjustments. For a small party, this place might be fine - just don't take a large party there, at least not yet.

   I've been to Pine & Oak twice & plan to be back quite a bit! My husband & I enjoyed a romantic dinner a couple of weeks ago - & my book club had our dinner meeting there this week. Service & food were amazing- with visits to the table from the owner- & the chef! Great place in our neighborhood!

    I was hoping that at last maybe Ossining my place of esidence was going to get a reliable go place for a simple but nice dinner. The food was not all bad nothing was amazing but nothing was terrible and I have to say the burgers looked good but I did not have one so I can't say for sure. But the food really wasn't the problem it was the service. Waitress was nice enough maybe a little green but she tried. The place was pretty empty and yet it took 45 minutes to get our app. thankfully the wait for main course was not as long. What was really bothersome was the maitre d seemed lost he would wonder back and forth but never check in with any of his guest until apparently his friends showed up and he kept parading them in and out of the kitchen. Is there still hope? It will be a while before I give them another shot.
