I had a lamb burger which was rather fatty ( I guess some people would appreciate that because it was juicy). I thought the menu rather limited.

Had eaten at Pigalle previously for lunch and was very pleased. This Sunday brunch was not good. The food was fair, the service awful. We had to ask for everything from bread to another straw. Won't be going back.

We were very happy with our brunch! We all had trouble choosing our meals with all of the appealing choices. All of our meals were excellent. It was a bit noisier than I like, but it was very busy. The prices were quite reasonable.

Not a great experience. Very loud. We asked to be seated away from the very sunny windows as it was a hot day and we wanted a table in the back away from the sun where it was much cooler. Although there were tables there, the host refused to seat us. The tables in the sun were empty and for good reason. She said she needed to fill those seats first. This was the first and last time for this place.

Food wasn't great. Escargots were tasteless and the swordfish was like sawdust. Very overdone. My daughters burger was tough and the fries were mediocre. Service was ok but nothing to write home about. Disappointing all around.

This was my second visit to Pigalle, and it fell short of the first one, . The bench on the wall is too low for the table and the springs are dead; when I asked to be moved the hostess did so promptly, but made a face. The escargots were awful - strange consistency and flavor. On the plus side, the pesto ravioli was wonderful, and the table service was friendly. The restaurant was jammed so it remains popular; I wouldn't refuse to go there again, but given the wealth of other restaurants in the neighborhood I won't go out of my way to go back.

We had a pleasant experience as always, although we found the menu was smaller, offering fewer choices than in the past. Food was good. I had an excellent dinner salad. Service was okay, not bad, but not terribly sharp or catering. It's a great place for the theater neighborhood - convenient to theaters and spacious enough not to feel cramped like so many theater district restaurants are. It's dependable, and I mean that in a good way!

The quiche was wonderful. They were a bit slow on service but the manager took some money off the bill and I think that was very nice of them.

It's a very pleasing place for dinner+, especially before and after the theatre. We had drinks and pate at the bar, then dinner--and on other occasions, we've returned after the show for a nightcap/snack. Their pate is delicious and they serve a truly excellent boeuf bourguignon. Service is friendly and swift. Excellent restaurant, highly recommended.

We had one of the best meals we've ever eaten and a very enjoyable dining experience. I've been to Pigalle many times and have also purchased a gift certificate for a colleague. While I have always found the food and service to be top notch, this was simply an outstanding meal and service experience. The food was incomparable and the service was perfect. Our waiter was pleasant, polite and had just the right touch. Available, but not hovering. I would, and have, highly recommend Pigalle to anyone, it's always an enjoyable dining experience.

Pigalle is one of my favorite restaurants to go to because the food is really good and the price is reasonable. I also love the French ambience. The best part is that it is close to the theaters, so it is perfect to eat there before going to the theater.

We have come to Pigalle every time we visit NYC. It serves as a good place for just about any meal; breakfast, lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is lovely and borders between chaotic and quiet/reserved. The food is average as it is often overcooked yet tasty. Regardless, the place is so charming such things can often be overlooked. Service this time around was good and special requests were honored easily. I would recommend Pigalle for just about anyone when in the Times Square District.

Server was rude. Never greeted table. Approached with "Yes?" to take order. Appetizer and entree brought at same time...within a minute of ordering. That's some disgusting pre-prepared food.

Having been to Pigalle's numerous times, I was very disappointed with the wait service. We were 9 people. Never offered a second drink, some people did not get their appetizers, and had to rush out for the theatre even though we had told the waiter we had theatre tickets. The food was great as usual. The service, for the first time, was poor.

The night we were there, the a/c was broken, and the restaurant was hot and noisy. But our waitress was terrific, and got us in and out in time for theater with ease. Rumor has it that this place is closing which is sad sad sad. It is one of our favorite theatre district joints.

Came after a 2pm show on 52nd St--Pigalle staff were more than gracious about allowing us to come early for our reservation. Fabulous food! Wonderful service! Wonderful food! Definitely on the casual side and can be a bit noisy but worth it for the food! Really terrific and exceedingly convenient walk from the theaters.

Been to Pigalle MANY times; this visit was good though service was a bit off. Also, they're reduced their menu considerably and I miss some of the items they removed. Had trouble getting a check at the end of the meal -- the WORST time to keep customers waiting, as we are determining the tip at that point.

We chose Pigalle for lunch/brunch on Sunday, because of its proximity to the Brooks Atkinson theater as we had a Sunday performance at 3:00 and the location and menu worked for the three of us, particularly as our adult daughter is a vegetarian and there were several salad options, other than egg dishes. Though the food was moderately okay, nothing was outstanding and service is exceptionally poor. The restaurant is adjacent the Hilton Garden Inn, actually connected to it from the bar area which I didn't know and it gets a huge amount of touristes. Waiters/waitresses are trying to rush you and it's anything but relaxing. We managed to exert our authority in this situation and said something, so it got better but that should not be necessary and food is adequate, but nothing great. I would not return to this and would choose other restaurants in the area with better fare and service.

Ate at Pagalle before a show on Sat night. The tables are close together so we met a couple from Kingston, Ont on side and two college roommates who were in NY for a reunion weekend. Nice conversation and the food was great.

Been to this restaurant a few times pre-theater. This time it was a total disappointment. The food was not great and sent back a dish. Our replacement dishes were tasteless and uninspired. So long, Pigalle. You won't see me back there ever again.

The food is wonderful.
Our server was lovely.
We felt a bit put on the spot when my friend chose a wine and upon tasting did not like it.
I know nothing about wine-- except how it tastes to me, so I let my friend chose and order.
She chose a wine by a type she normally drinks. She did not like her choice at all.
She let me taste then and I wasn't a big fan, but I usually don't make a fuss.
The manager came over to "help" us chose another.
While he was very nice and professional, I couldn't help wondering if this is "the norm" for people who send back a bottle.
I understand there is a business to run and nobody wants to open bottles that won't be consumed,
I just couldn't help but feel slightly uncomfortable about the situation.
Other than that, hostesses and bussers were friendly and not too present.
Overall, a nice experience, except in the wine department.

We were disappointed with our seating. The booths were very uncomfortable and clearly in need of renovating. Our waiter failed to come and check on us and when he cleared our table he spilled melted butter on two people in our party and barely muttered an apology. The only thing good was that we were served quickly.

Charming French restaurant in the Theatre district. Very convenient . The ambience was similar to a French Cafe. I was intrigued by their very large windows framed with a
distinctive French design. Carved Wooden scrolls surrounded each window.
Looking at Pigalle from the street and then dinning in the Cafe made me feel as if I was in Paris
Always an enjoyable experience. TOO BAD THEY CLOSED awhile ago.
It is sad that so many good restaurants have been closing.

I have been to Pigalle many times for lunch and dinner, over the past 15 years, and continue to go back. Their menu and food are even better now with a great variety. Although it was a birthday celebration, there was no singing or special dessert given, even though the booking stated it was a birthday.
