Flavorful and delicious food, friendly service and fun vibe.
I love Pig and Khao I try to stop by whenever I'm in the city. The food is phenomenal and the staff is always super helpful.
Great in every way.
Now fulfilling the stupid requirement to write a minimum of fifty characters.
I love coming to Pig and Khao and introducing friends to the incredible flavor and innovation in Filipino cuisine. I recognize there are other cultures at play, and the recipes really pay homage to the blending and sharing of Asian culture in an oft-overlooked part of the work. Love this place, the staff and the vibe!
Super lively and cool place with amazing drinks and food. Never disappoints!
Food is amazing!!!
Went for my friend's birthday and it was incredible. The food was both delicious and interesting - something different in the heart of a neighborhood with a lot of the same. Would recommend to anyone.
Great vibe and food.
Excellent food. Superior service. 5 stars. Will be back!
This place NEVER disappoints!!! Food is always great !
We went last year and we were so impressed that we went back again this year while visiting NYC. We were not disappointed. It was as good now as it was then. I absolutely love this restaurant and the staff is super friendly. Definitely on my list to go back every year.
Service was fast and friendly. Food was excellent. Great place to go with parties of two.
Service is terrible. And the music was so loud that everyone on my party had to basically yell at each other. Food is very good but the service really needs improvement
Amazing food. Four small plates were more than enough for a meal for two (in other words, not very small!) Be forewarned that the restaurant is very loud. But the food is so good that the noise is worth it.
2nd time to Pig & Khao was just as good as the first! Delicious Filipino / Asian cuisine. Service was fantastic and so was the food....we had the tasting menu which included a delicious tempura fried crab with grilled corn in a yellow curry sauce, a spicy and delicious pork belly udon noodle stir fry dish, Malaysian fried chicken, and octopus paksiw. Everything was sooo good! This will be a regular stop on our visits to NYC.
Amazing flavors. I loved this meal.

Wow. This used to be my all time favorite restaurant in NYC but today's experience has completely changed that. I have been here about 10 times and have bought multiple friends to eat here, but that will sadly not be happening anymore.
We had a waitress in blue overalls that was extremely rude. She first started the night coming every 2-3 minutes asking if we were ready in a very rude tone. We told her a few times that we needed more time and the final time I told her that I needed a minute - she got visibly annoyed. She never came once to check up on our table after that. Another waiter had to come and get our order. There was another moment when we asked to check on our dish because it was taking a LONG time (ive gotten this dish so many times- i know this was a longer wait than usual) and she responded rudely and refused to check on it. The table next to us who witnessed everything was appalled at how the waitress was acting as well. There were few more encounters (i.e. obtaining the check) and she was visibly annoyed and rude with her responses. It definitely ruined the whole dinner experience.
In all my experiences at eating at restaurants, I have never had such a rude waitress with poor behavior like her. I am still so shocked that Pig and Khao has allowed this type of service to their customers.
Amazing food! The ramen noodles with the poached egg is a must try!
It was my 5th time there but my friends just the first one. They loved it!!
Everything was great but I did not smell good coming out of that restaurant
Listen. If you want authentic, delicious, fresh thai food, this is the place for you. The flavors explode in your mouth, and every bite is better than the next. GO HERE OR GO HOME.
Really enjoyed dinner here! The small plates are really not that small, 3 among 2 people was more than enough. The coconut rice was delicious! Service was quick and friendly. I went early so it wasn't that loud, but I suspect it gets a bit hard to hear each other when the restaurant is packed.
Food was ok but their service can use a lot of improvement. The guy at the door looked annoyed when we entered. Didnt say hello and just looked at us like we were bothering him. When I told him I had reservations he took us to our table still looking quite annoyed. I understand people have their off days but from reading some of the other comments it seems like their bad service is a common theme. Honestly their food is not worth the bad service.
Casual and delicious food, best for friends hanging out and looking to eat something with great quality but without pretensions.
The food was delicious and really unique. The coconut rice was great. However the service was poor at times and a glass slipped off our table and broke because the table was slanted and they made us feel very uncomfortable about it.
Great spot on the lower east side. Plates are meant to be shared which allowed us to try several dishes. The team was lovely and helpful explaining the dishes. The Green Papaya Salad was fresh and delicious. YOU MUST TRY THE PORK JOWL. It was tasty, yummy, fun and right amount of spice. Pork Belly Adobo was spicier (I like spice but someone with us prefers less spice) and they loved it noting it was the proper heat vs. some thai places that just add too much vs. flavoring! We also enjoy the Sizzling Sisig - amazing as well - You must try this dish too. We loved it. The coconut rice helped balance the spice for our less-spicy inclined friend! I suggest you ask for a glass of the white mineral wine - it was ice cold perfection after a long week. I've wanted to go here for about a year and glad I finally made it! Looking forward to my next dinner here.
Well prepared delicious food cooked to order! Small menu but that makes this place a gem.
Love the food and their super-cool staff!
Tasting menu = 10/10 worth it! Loved the casual vibe with the upscale flavors and plates
Absolutely fabulous dinner. Every piece of food was interesting and delicious. I do wish they offered their tasting menu on weekends. Pro tip: order the coconut rice. It's to die for.
this place was the absolute bomb!
everything we had was heavenly.... the papaya salad, the been fried rice, the duck, the coconut fish...THE COCONUT RICE!!! also they have a sweet and sour cilantro soda you can add booze to and i loved that too. great waiters/ waitresses- killer service. id come back a million times!
Such a great place, but the only downfall was I felt extremely rushed as if they wanted to get me out fast.
This place is awesome. The food was de-lish-ous and I would give 10 stars for the service if I could. Seriously, the folks who were servin it up were chill and on top of everything. I was there with my bae for her bday and it made it all the more magical. We felt held<3
Focus on the small plates (not that small btw) vs the main course items
Coconut rice is great
Front of room lacks ventilation so your clothes will smell
Staff is a bit “too cool”
Wow. One of the best meals I've had in NYC in a long time. So glad we booked here.
Strong food odor on my clothes
The food was amazing as usual! Little on the pricier side but will come back for restaurant week!
Food was beyond delicious, our waiter was friendly and fun, we did the tasting menu and left stuffed. Everything was on point.
It was so delicious....exceeded my expectations!!! The food was also served very fast and the staff was kind. -Danie
Delicious food and friendly attentive staff. A little pricey but justifiable because of great food and service. Cocktails were delicious 😋
