Food was below average quality. There are way better and cheaper options for similar cuisine.

Been here a few times. The food is always solid. Be prepared, the food, at least what we ordered, is on the spicy side but oh so good. The one ding I experienced this time was a wait staff that didn't seem into us at all. we were a party of 3 sitting at a table for 2, we ordered a lot of food and 3 bottles of wine. it was an early dinner so the table next to us was empty and was so for our whole stay. the staff seemed to have a problem with us using the other table to hold our plates which I thought was odd. A big peev that they did was send us the bill without asking if we wanted dessert. We did and ordered 2!!
that said, Id still go back, I love chef Leah and her food!!!

Delicious as always! We did the tasting menu. Our server was so awesome. The meal wasn’t over until we were completely stuffed. Everything was so tasty and fresh. I was sad they no longer have the pork jowl Brussels sprouts but if we made enough noise about it, maybe they’ll bring it back. Water was always replenished and clean plates were offered. The food was and always will be delicious and amazing. Love returning here!

The sizzling Sisig/pork head was amazing, the Chilli pan mee was good , however the braised red curry beef was a bit over sweet for my palate

Came for brunch with 7 friends, made reservations 2 weeks in advance and had to add an 8th person 7 days in advance and they did their best to accommodate that. The party was split, not really sure why. Everything we ordered was delicious but the servers were slow to come around, made mistakes in who got what, someone who can’t eat pork for religious reasons was given a pork dish, and were very rude. If I pay for bottomless mimosas, I expect when we request a pitcher, for us to receive it. Especially if it is still within our time limit. If I ask a server what a certain dish is, I expect them to know. All in all an OK experience, best to be in the back room I suppose. Also, how can you run out of mimosas 1 hour before close? Poor form.

This place is pretty highly rated across the board, and we love Thai food, so we were pretty surprised that the chef's tasting menu was so ... terrible. The tasting menu is $55 per person and you get a lot of food for that price, but it was an overload of fried food that generally tasted pretty bad... like something you'd get from a dive bar. The service was good though and the ambience wasn't bad -- generally well suited for mid-20 year olds looking for some quick grub before hitting the club. I would add that the food around us looked pretty good. I won't be back but if you are planning to go - avoid the tasting menu!

It took them 45 mins for steak and eggs and they don’t serve alcohol after 3:30 PM even though they advertise 2 hours of unlimited mimosas (cut off 4:00 PM) (we got there at 2:00 PM).

Food was good and creative yet not outstanding (appetizer was the best). Table was sticky and service was so-so. Good hype place for the young crowd and ambiance is vibrant & artsy.

Still pretty good, but super disappointing that they took one of the best items off the menu: no more Brussels sprouts with pork jowl. Why on earth? That dish alone made the restaurant a destination for so many people, and I’m not sure the rest of the food is enough to draw me back. Sirloin steak was pretty good, nicely rare, but sauce needs better balance. Octopus also pretty good with nice watercress for bitter contrast. Ambiance in back room is better for noise level, but lacks charm. Service was good.

It was almost impossible to have a normal-level conversation with my 2 friends because we had to SHOUT OVER THE RIDICULOUSLY LOUD MUSIC. We get you want higher turnover during brunch for the bottomless mimosas but the MUSIC WAS DEAFENING AND WE HAD TO SHOUT AT EACH OTHER OVER A VERY SMALL TABLE. I COULDN'T EVEN HEAR MY FRIEND'S CONVERSATION RIGHT NEXT TO ME.

Surprisingly, not bad for vegetarians! We had a delicious course of medium and large share plates. Great date vibe. Classic Clinton St. "hip" restaurant--young artist vibey meets strong-priced meal.

The food was excellent. Well spiced and flavored. However, two complaints: the kitchen closes at 10pm, so they should not take reservations after 9:00. We had a 9:30pm reservation, and were rushed by the staff. My second complaint is the noise level. They play the music at club, not restaurant volume. So if you are looking for a quiet relaxed dinner, this is probably not the place. That said, the dishes including the Khao Soi and the Sizzling Sisig were really good.

My son wanted to go to Pig and Khao as he watches Top Chef. SO glad he did. Pig and Khao was a little different in each food presentation from what I expected (except for the ribs) but so good and enjoyable. We had an 8 PM reservation on a Sunday night (made about one week in advance and that was the best option from Friday to Sunday of that weekend) and arrived early at around 7:20 and were seated quickly. We had a table toward the back in the front area (across from the open kitchen) and sat down to look at the menu. Seating is cramped (what else in a popular NYC restaurant) and the place was full of energy. We decided to get a few different small plates and one large plate for dinner. Our server helped us make choices on the small plates and we both wanted the Ribs as our big plate selection. Small plates consisted of Baby Octopus Paksiw, Pork Belly Adobo, Ka Prow and Malaysian Butter Prawns. Each small plate was a journey into an uncharted taste destination. Each dish was expertly constructed with each element of the dishes flavor tasted. Of the 4, I would rate the Baby Octopus as #1 and the Pork Belly as #4, but all so good. Thankfully the Ribs took a little while to come to the table so we were able to rest and totally devour the delish Ribs. Pig and Khao is an experience and a great one. Make your reservation early and go and enjoy

Tried out the restaurant week lunch menu and utterly underwhelmed. The corn salad was tasteless, the sizzling pork over salted to a degree that we both couldn’t eat it. The donuts where tasteless as well. Service was great! Noise level high.

Pig and Khao was on the list of Restaurant Week. I came into the restaurant with high standards. When I walked into the restaurant, no one greeted me. I had to look around to find assistance. The host was not welcoming at all. Matter of fact, she looked like she didn’t want to be there. Her movements were rough and her interaction was short. The restaurant had a casual vibe so I let it go. I assumed that was their style.

Now let’s talk about the food. The food was either too salty, spicy, or bland. By the time I hit the third course, I couldn’t taste anything because my taste buds were overwhelmed by the first two courses. If you are going to serve a fixed menu, might I suggest that you consider putting out courses that compliment one another.

What made the experience worst was when I was handed over the check by the host, while eating dessert. It would have made sense if I was a walk-in and the restaurant was packed, but I made a reservation. Why do I feel like I’m being rushed to finish my meal?

I came into the restaurant with high standards, but the service was just terrible. I left the restaurant disappointed and hungry because I could not finish the food.

I have loved pig and khao for years. Filipino food is my fave! The sisig and the khao sooo are a must...: but for this particular visit for brunch we had SUCH TERRIBLE RUDE SERVICE! The waitress was so dry the entire time, when she would refill our bottomless mimosas she only filled half the glass... we tried to get her attention a couple times(it wasn’t busy) and she would hold a finger up and say one moment but then never come and then when she did she acted as if it was such an inconvenience....
